The holiest month of Islam means nothing to those bent on death and destruction. And all of this to ensure that you get a better place in the hereafter. Today's Islam is almost a parallel to the old church with it's corruption. And who convinced the uninformed that they would be eternally separated from God unless they did their bidding. Today's Islam needs it's own Martin Luther to lead a reformation to challenge the mullahs who care nothing for spiritual matters as they do for the quest for greater power. If you consider other religious celebrations that have nothing to do with Islam – Lent and Christmas for instance – you would be hard pressed to find any act of violence connected to these observances.
