Islam Is Not To Blame For Terror Attacks

From the UK’s Telegraph:

Muslim police say Islam not to blame for terror attacks

Muslim police officers have rebelled openly against the Government’s anti-terrorism strategy, warning that it is an “affront to British values” which threatens to trigger ethnic unrest.

The National Association of Muslim Police (NAMP) claimed that ministers were wrong to blame Islam for being the “driver” behind recent terrorist attacks.

Far-Right extremists were a more dangerous threat to national security, it said.

Are we sure this report wasn’t written by Janet Napolitano’s Department Of Homeland Security?

The officers told MPs that Muslims were being “stigmatised” by the Government’s attempts to tackle terrorism, which was adding to “hatred” against entire communities.

In the official intervention [sic], the association said the Government’s anti-terrorism policies could not “continue unchecked”.

The comments, made in a seven-page memorandum to a parliamentary committee investigating extremism, are embarrassing for Gordon Brown. They indicated that Muslim officers may be reluctant to take part in “hearts and minds” anti-terrorism campaigns.

The organisation, which represents more than 2,000 officers, was previously publicly backed by Mr Brown. The Prime Minister said the association was crucial to bridge the historic divide between Muslims and the police…

The Daily Telegraph disclosed last week that American intelligence agencies believed that Britain had the greatest number of Islamic extremists of any Western country

In an analysis of the Prevent strategy, which is a set of policies designed to stop radicalisation, the organisation claimed: “The strategies of Prevent were historically focused on so-called Islamist extremism.

“This has subjected the biggest black and ethnic minority community, and second biggest faith group, in an unprecedented manner, stigmatising them in the process.

“Never before has a community been mapped in [such] a manner … it is frustrating to see this in a country that is a real pillar and example of freedom of expression and choice.

“Our British system is a model for the world to follow, yet we have embarked on a journey that has put this very core of British values under real threat.”

The association warned there were “echoes” of the racism of the 1970s and 1980s which led to inner city riots. “We appear to have ignored the lessons learnt from these dark days,” the officers said

They are trying to make Islam the new black.

But the NAMP claimed the policies had led to “hatred against Muslims” which “has grown to a level that defies all logic and is an affront to British values”.

The organisation said Prevent should focus on confronting far-Right extremists such as the BNP [British National Party].

The memorandum warned that Muslims were subjected to “daily abuse” due to the strategy. “We must not diminish our British values further by continuing to allow such behaviour and polices to continue unchecked,” it added.

The Muslim officers believe the Government is wrong to blame Islam as the main driver of terrorist activity.

Research by “those convicted of terrorism acts [sic] shows Islam was not, and is not, a real driver but all our strategy seem to focus on is this un-evidenced view of Islam being the driver,” they said

"Research by those convicted of terrorist acts"? Convicted terrorists might not be the most objective sources for such a study.

In any case, it is clear that it is a preposterous to think that Islam is behind any of today’s terrorism.

Such a misguided belief is obviously the result of some weird bigoted prejudice against the Religion Of Peace.

What about if you have Islamic business cards printed up…right before you shoot up a military base?

Or, after you advocate sharia law over the constitution….?

What if you get your marching orders from some militant Imam…?

Oh?…What’s that you say?…No connection whatsoever?

    Whew! That’s a relief! How could I have been so….bigoted? So….biased….So….?

Far-Right extremists were a more dangerous threat to national security, it said.”

Ok….I’ll be watching for all those “Far-Right extremists”…I know the ones…Napolitano has already warned us about them…you know…returning soldiers…tea party attendees…I got it! Can’t be too careful where they are concerned

I don’t remember hearing of Buddhists blowing up planes, Jewish honor killings, or Catholic suicide bombers. How anyone can say Islam is not at the root of these horrible things defies logic.

  7. MinnesotaRush says:

I’ve heard the Girl Scouts and the Jehovah Witnesses are the real culprits and are just blaming it all on Islam.

Beware those who come to your doorstep bearing cookies and/or Redemption!!!

    It’s a plot.

Here’s a story about a mohamadan who started a NY TV station to “counter negative stereotypes of Muslims.” Seems he beheaded his wife for serving him with divorce papers. Nice guy.

It’s not a stereotype if its true.

    Paris: Imam supports burka ban

A French imam active in Muslim dialogue with Jews has backed a law against full face veils, parting ways with most Muslim leaders in France urging parliamentarians not to vote for a planned “burqa ban.”

Hassen Chalghoumi, whose mosque stands in a northern Paris suburb where many Muslims live, said women who wanted to cover their faces should move to Saudi Arabia or other Muslim countries where that was a tradition.

“Yes, I am for a legal ban of the burqa, which has no place in France, a country where women have been voting since 1945,” Hassen Chalghoumi, 36, told the daily Le Parisien.

Chalghoumi, who has received death threats for his promotion of dialogue with Jews, said that full face veils had no basis in Islam and “belong to a tiny minority tradition reflecting an ideology that scuttles the Muslim religion.”

“The burqa is a prison for women, a tool of sexist domination and Islamist indoctrination,” said Chalghoumi, whose mosque stands in Drancy, site of a wartime camp where Jews were detained before transport to Nazi concentration camps.

Chalghoumi criticised some of the tougher measures proposed by conservative politicians, such as imposing fines or cutting off child support payments for veiled women.

But the Tunisian-born imam, who is a naturalised French citizen, agreed France should not grant citizenship to immigrant women who cover their faces.

“Chalghoumi, who has received death threats for his promotion of dialogue with Jews”

How sad that the one imam who possesses moderate tendencies faces death threats from members of his own religion, for the simple act of talking to Jewish people. I guess he didn’t take up the Islamic tradition of pining for the deaths of non-Muslims.

Islam is full of dangerous people who are hell bent on stopping reason, progress, or integration from other members of their religion. Far from a dangerous minority, most Muslims, including immigrants to Western countries, believe in Shariah law for themselves and the governments they live under. They agree with the aims of Al Qaeda, if not the means.

It is no wonder that we almost never hear of new art, technology, or innovation from Muslim-majority countries. Even Saudi Arabia only has their high standard of living because of one natural resource, oil – and our government helped to build the facilities those primitive herders needed to collect it in the first place. It must be hard to create progress when “morality police” shut down fashion shows in Iran, or arrest men and women who act together in a stage performance as they did in Saudi Arabia. The predicament is regrettable because so much human talent is wasted by those Islamic control freaks.
