“Why hire a coach for four years and then dismiss after one?”

The better question is: does it make sense to keep an incompetant coach if he has a long-term contract.

Packer’s Record:

1992 – 9W 7L Favre’s first year
1993 – 9W 7L playoffs
1994 – 9W 6L playoffs
1995 – 11W 5L playoffs
1996 – 13W 3L Super Bowl
1997 – 13W 3L Super Bowl
1998 – 11W 5L playoffs
1999 – 8W 8L (5 losses by 8 points or more)
2000 – 9W 7L (5 losses by 5 points or less)
2001 – 12W 4L playoffs
2002 – 12W 4L playoffs
2003 – 10W 6L playoffs
2004 – 11W 5L playoffs
2005 – 4W 11L most of coaching staff was fired

As you can see, the Packers were a great team for the decade beginning in 1994, once Favre got some experience in the NFL. 1992 was his first year.

What was unique about 1999? Answer: Ray Rhodes was the coach.

But of course this didn’t count.

Gee, couldn’t have anything to do with a business making money? (dripping with sarcasm) How much money did Rhodes receive on the balance of that contract? It generally costs teams money, a lot of money, when coaches are fired with contract balances.

This had nothing to do with race; it was business. It had everything to do with shake-down artist Jesse Jackson attempting to make a name and lining his own or family’s pockets.

Ray Rhodes is an African-American name? What the heck is an African-American name. Does it have to be a muslim African-American name like Obama who married a Robinson?

Jesse Jackson, an African-American name, might figure Rhodes may have a attorney telling him to keep his mouth shut, and doesn’t need to do confession to preacher Jackson and the African-American named Rainbow Club.

Well, this argument (such as it is) had to surface eventually.

Like all things that have this flavor to it, I just ignore it. I bought a widescreen TV solely for the purpose of watching NFL games but, you know what? I can live without them.

To me the whole thing really reaches into the juvenile. Whiners. Bunch of little whiners. All of them.

As a side note, the financial intake of an NFL team is coughed up by loyal WHITE fans who don’t seem to have a problem with black anything, coaches, players, etc. Personally, let’s take every white person out of the industry entirely and let it run like any other successful black-run business.

Suits me fine.

How many white coaches have been fired for less? Can’t just be a man doing a job can it? Always has to be about race. And they call conservatives racist.
