Twenty bucks an hour for a 12-hour work week works out to $240/week. By the time FICA, Medicare, SS, State income tax, and local earnings tax is deducted, the poor sap will take home maybe $135 a week. This might not be a bad gig if there were some hours involved, but it reminds me of the story about the potatoes;

Bob’s Grocery is selling potatoes for $.69 per pound while his competitor down the block, Pedro, has advertized his potatoes at $.57 per pound. When Mrs. Brown tells this to Bob, he says for her to buy her potatoes from Pedro. Mrs. Brown says that she would, but Pedro is out of potatoes right now.
