After his flu warning, Biden takes the train home

WASHINGTON (AP) — One day after saying he wouldn’t travel in tight quarters because of the swine flu scare, Vice President Joe Biden rode a train Friday from Washington to Delaware.

Known for speaking freely, Biden told NBC’s "Today" show on Thursday that he had urged family members to avoid airplanes and subways for fear of contracting the H1N1 flu virus.

"I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now," Biden said…

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano commented, "If he could say that over again, he would say if they’re feeling sick, they should stay off of public transit or confined spaces."

By Friday night, Biden seemed ready for his own do-over. A longtime rider of Amtrak, he took a train from Union Station to his Delaware home, his office said.

Lest we forget, Mr. Biden was chosen by the brilliant Mr. Obama.

    Joe feels safer on the train. It’s harder to get thrown under a train than it is a bus.

    Joe was likely told to either get his butt on a train or under the bus!
    Am I the only one who thinks that Biden is the red-headed step child of this administration?
    They seem to forget to call him in and brief him on what the administration line will be on any given topic!

      I was thinking the same thing. Old Barry probably sent Michelle over there and told those two to get on that train or he would find away to put him out of his nice, new house on the grounds of the Naval Observatory.

      Insurance policy is right. I heard rumors of threats against Obama after the election and could only say “please no- look who is next in line, and who is next after that too.

    I gotta hand it to the idiot stick for choosing Biden. It was a brilliant move. He knew we would all need a little comic relief from what he’s doing to the country. Good ole Joe. Nothing like a little comic relief.

    This dude is the Bozo the Clown of the administration! (no offense to Bozo). Are we the laughing stock of the world, or what? I swear, every day other countries must open their newspapers to see what joke is coming up next.
