It’s an interesting irony of history that the REAL violence didn’t start until ordinary people began to have some sayso in the way the world works.

Until about 1776, war was pretty much under the thumb of divine despots. Not that it wasn’t violent enough that way.

But once the people began to influence things, Katie barred the door. Our Revolution was just a shadow of what was to come. In quick succession, the world got the French Revolution, the Napoleanic Wars, the American Civil War, numerous other wars in the 19th century, WWI, the Russian Revolution, the Mao Revolution, WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Iraq, Afghanistan and the genocide wars in Africa.

I only bring this to you attention to point out that the destruction of the ruling elites during events like the French Revoluion and the Russian Revolution was pretty catastrophic. Now you may not think the people had that much influence on those events, but in constrast to the ruling elites at the time, it’s indisputable.

And now we have our very own arrogant, insolent, ignorent Ruling Elite who refuse to listen to the people, a people who are increasingly, shall we say, “interested” or “perturbed” or “upset” or “angry” or “outraged” or even “infuriated”.

Keep at it Obamy and crew.

Not just a distraction but a “pre-emptive” strike on Cheney endorsing any republican candidate in 2011. If they can discredit him, they will effectively squelched his credibility. But they are grasping at straws and this whole thing is likely a useless play.

So they lose a timeout because the instant replay review will show that the original call was and is valid.
