Hugh Hefner’s legendary Playboy Mansion is the focus of a Los Angeles County Department of Public Health investigation after reports that dozens of visitors contracted a mysterious respiratory illness after attending a fund-raiser there earlier this month.

The Feb. 3 event at the Westwood mansion was part of the annual DOMAINfest Global conference…

The health department sent an e-mail Friday to all attendees warning them that they had received a cluster of reports that people had become ill after attending the conference and the Playboy Mansion event. The e-mail asked recipients to fill out a survey. The reports of illness complained of respiratory problems, including pneumonia…

Attendees of the fund-raisers have logged onto Facebook to report their illnesses. Many suspect their symptoms are related to Legionellosis, or Pontiac fever— a milder form of Legionnaires’ disease, which is caused by bacteria living in warm air-conditioning systems.

Many of those who became ill said they suspect a fog machine that was used at the party.

With an item like this, the jokes write themselves.

“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…”

The Hefner empire has become as creepy as anything since the Manson family.

There is something so perverted about a doddering old man, living in filth, and fueled by viagra, exploiting pneumatic young women so driven by the illusion of becoming famous that they are willing to humiliate themselves over and over again…..words can’t quite describe it.

When I think about diseases that might be acquired by visitors to the Playboy Mansion, A respiratory illness from the air conditioner is pretty far down the list of likely candidates.

When living in societies urinal of unnatural acts, How should one feel anyway? Guilt or remorse is also, far down the list. However, how can one parlay this to a meal ticket is another. Hef, feels gout, others seek fame. I guess, both are as painful to witness, as they are easily avoidable.Yea, blame the “air”.
