PR: Was reading 'Liberty and Treason' again the other night and my wife said in a very casual tone 'I didn't know Mark wrote a book?' I said 'How do you know 'Mark' and why are you on a first-name basis with him?' And she said 'we talked to him at (name omitted)'s funeral last month.' I said 'What?!'. And she said 'He's married to Kendall (one of my best friend's sisters) - he was sitting with me after the funeral. Remember - we had dinner with he and Kendall (and our friends) in DC several years ago and you two sat at the table and talked politics all night.' I said 'Yeah, I remember that night and the guy, but I sure as hell didn't remember his name or face.' Then she said 'Is he famous?' I about lost it...

Too funny. My wife remembers him plain as day forever, carrying on with him like our dinner never ended, but had no idea he's famous. I listen and read his books (and had dinner and talked with him for hours) but couldn't even place his face six weeks ago - while I was reading his book that had his picture on it! lol (there is a reason I am not in sales...)

p.s. the funeral in question was in Huntsville - and his mother-in-law was one of the biggest Democrats in town... I'm guessing they didn't talk politics at Thanksgiving...

Does anyone honestly believe an investigation will go anywhere?
Remember the Black Panthers outside the polling place threatening people?
According to the Attorney General who is willing to investigate any allegation against anyone from the Bush administration, the evidence didn't support charges.
Now, if two white men in fatigues did the same thing, I'll bet the evidence would support the death penalty!

The only reason they are investigating them is because they are black (and corrupt).

My god, don't they know it's against the law to investigate prominent black people in the US?
