‘Late Term’ Abortionist Shot To Death

From an elated Associated Press:

Abortion doc George Tiller gunned down at church

By Roxana Hegeman, Associated Press Writer

WICHITA, Kan. – Late-term abortion doctor George Tiller, a prominent advocate for abortion rights wounded by a protester more than a decade ago, was shot and killed Sunday at a church in Wichita where he was serving as an usher and his wife was in the choir, his attorney said.

Tiller was shot during morning services at Reformation Lutheran Church, attorney Dan Monnat said. Police said a manhunt was under way for the shooter, who fled in a car registered to a Kansas City suburb nearly 200 miles away.

National anti-abortion groups had long focused on Tiller, whose Women’s Health Care Services clinic is one of just three in the nation where abortions are performed after the 21st week of pregnancy.

In 1991, the Summer of Mercy protests organized by Operation Rescue drew thousands of anti-abortion activists to this city for demonstrations marked by civil disobedience and mass arrests.

Some abortion opponents had resorted to attacks against Tiller long before Sunday’s shooting. A protester shot Tiller in both arms in 1993, and his clinic was bombed in 1985.

Anti-abortion group Operation Rescue issued a statement denouncing the shooting.

"We are shocked at this morning’s disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down," said Troy Newman, Operation Rescue’s president. "Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning." …

Tiller began providing abortion services in 1973…

Tiller remained prominent in the news, in part because of an investigation started begun by former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline, an abortion opponent.

Prosecutors had alleged that Tiller had gotten second opinions from a doctor who was essentially an employee of his, not independent as state law requires…

Abortion opponents also questioned then-Gov. Kathleen Sebelius’ ties to Tiller before the Senate confirmed her this year as U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary. Tiller donated thousands of dollars to Sebelius over the years.

Needless to say, we never condone murder. No matter what the age of the victim.

Moreover, if this crime was politically motivated, it couldn’t have done more to hurt the cause if the perpetrator had wanted to.

And what timing.

Now any criticism of Ms. Sotomayor, no matter how justified, will be met with words to the effect that “that is the kind of rhetoric got George Tiller killed.”

A couple of updates from the Wichita Eagle:

Suspect arrested in connection with slaying of abortion provider George Tiller

WICHITA – The suspect in this morning’s fatal shooting of George Tiller is in custody, according to emergency dispatchers.

Authorities have yet to release more information about the arrest. Wichita police have scheduled a 4 p.m. news conference to discuss the case…

And, also from the Wichita Eagle:

Candlelight vigil to honor George Tiller set for tonight in Wichita

A candlelight vigil has been scheduled for 8 p.m. today at Old Town Square to show support for George Tiller’s family and to oppose violence.

Dustin Deckard, 20, organized the vigil and is hoping it will be "a quiet show of support for Dr. Tiller and a moment to remember his medical and political triumphs."

Deckard, who supports abortion rights, called today’s shooting of Tiller "akin to the murder of Harvey Milk," an openly gay California politician who was shot to death in 1978.

"With the situation today, I think that what side people are on is the last thing we should be arguing about," Deckard said. "The death of people’s loved one is more important today than any political alignment."

Deckard is spreading word of tonight’s vigil through Twitter, a microblog service, and other social networking tools.

We’re not quite sure of the similarity between the murders.

Unless Mr. Deckard suspects that Mr. Tiller was also killed by a disgruntled office seeker.

This type of extremest behavior is exactly the ammunition the far left uses against the conservatives/republicans. As always, it will be distorted, applied to Sotomayor and served up as liberal talking points. “…akin to the murder of Harvey Milk,…” It’s already begun. And the no nuts GOP will walk on egg shells backing off on Sotomayer.

  2. caligirl9 says:

I thought the exact same thing, TZ. I’m no fan of late-term abortion, but I am even less of a fan of murdering a physician while he is in church, no less.

There is no comparison to Harvey Milk and Mayor Moscone in this case. But I suppose if you need a talking point it’s as good as any.

Strength to the doctor’s family. And may the perp be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Where’s the doctor’s hate crime protection? If this isn’t a hate crime, what is?

  3. pinandpuller says:

Please be a muslim or a communist( ala Sirhan Sirhan or Oswald).

I don’t condone this in the least. Paul was converted and became probably the greatest advocate of Christ ever and his prior actions were not honorable in the least.

OTOH how could this church ever take his offerings? I mean really.

I was a Lutheran growing up and they are kind of strange. Does splitting with the Catholic Church mean opposing everything, like life? I was confirmed and took Communion-I just couldn’t see giving it to someone who persisted in and was proud of his lifestyle.

I know Jesus ministered to prostitutes but he didn’t tell them to keep wallowing in it.

  4. Barbie says:

This is terrible. The murder of this man is horrible.
He had a right to his life, too. I hope the perpetrator is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Would all the crazies with guns and grudges give the guns to sane relatives?

I would, though. like to hear the full story before it’s blamed on a violent anti-abortion zealot. Regardless, the left will take full advantage of this man’s murder to play politics. I feel sorry for Tiller’s family for their loss.

  5. pinandpuller says:

Also, I wonder if the left will do what they can to keep this guy from getting the death-penalty, which he should get for what looks like premeditated murder.

    • David says:

That would be some irony for you. Individual *possibly* motivated by the idea that premeditated killing of babies is murder, then commits murder him/herself. Seems like two death penalties are in order and one has been served.

    • U NO HOO says:

      Ed Asner, call your office.

  6. sen says:

I hate to sound snarky in any way, but I can bet you that Dr. Tiller’s killer will never become a tenured faculty member at a world-class university (ala Bill Ayers). My apologies for being disrespectful in any way, but just my thoughts…

  7. Just what the Liberal media will use to revive the ole DHS Report on how dangerous Conservative pro-lifers are.

    • catie says:

Exactly. You know I don’t condone killing him but I have to wonder if he was greeted at the moment of death by all the late term babies he murdered. I was watching a snippet on Fox and some woman kept going on and on about what a “christian” man he was. I guess we shouldn’t judge others but murder is murder and he’s as guilty as the man who shot him. I hope it is someone from the Religion of Peas but it will not be. It will be someone who supposedly is “pro-life” and we’ll all hear how terrible the pro-life people are ad nauseam. Sometimes I wonder if these people aren’t plants of some sort. I’m sorry for his family but that’s all.

    • jobeth says:

“but I have to wonder if he was greeted at the moment of death by all the late term babies he murdered.”

Catie, You have said exactly what I was thinking.

As one who silently and prayfully demonstrates against abortion by standing on the highway holding placards once a year, I detest that someone would take it upon himself to kill the Dr. Hpwever much he deserves the same as he gave, killing is not the answer to this problem and neither is any kind of violence.

My faith says to let God deal with these people on His time. Nothing we could ever do would be as just as he receives from God.

It also crossed my mind as well that this could be someone who is unstable enough to be “led” into this act by the left. I Don’t know if that is true of course, but it would not surprise me in the least with Obalmybotts all around. This will be sure to stay on the front page long enough to get a certain Judge in place. Diversion is a handy thing isn’t it?

This is just what we DON’T need right now. The lefties will clump all pro-lifers with these nutters.

    • wardmama4 says:

Ah but BCP – you also forgot that horrible, violent and very very dangerous other group – Christians – you know, you just know that they were behind this.

I wouldn’t put it past the feminazis and/or ACORN doing this just to shut up any and all protestations against Judge Sotomayor and/or to work toward silencing any and all on the ‘fringe’ Right. Way too convenient and coincidental.

Since it is now the ‘fringe’ Left who appears to be in control of America.

      God Help America.

    • U NO HOO says:

      a “christian” man

Didn’t Jesus say, “Whatever you do to the lowest you do to me?”

    • catie says:

Jobeth, I go a couple of times a year myself to silently protest. I saw there was a “candlelight vigil” for this man last night. I was somewhat shocked but then I read further (on yahoo) that a pro-death advocate (some young man) was the one who put out the word and organized it on twitter and other “social networks”. Those naral morons (same article) said no one will terminate “fetal abnormalities” anymore. That is absolutely not true. The majority of his victims were not “abnormal”. I hate how they always blame the “abnormal” child as I have one myself. It never ceases to amaze me though that these are generally the people who will approach someone at a store, restaurant, what have you and ask a person why that child was not aborted. It happened again about a week ago when I had my daughter at the pharmacy of all places with me. Some fool man asked me about my daughter and then asked why I did not have an abortion. I told him I did not have amnio as we wouldn’t do anything anyway. He said we were fools. I told him he was the fool and that he could rot in hell. Forthwith he told me to “f-off”. I said to him that his parents must be proud of his extensive language abilities and that he should learn that old lesson that if he didn’t have anything nice to say he should just shut up. He just went on yapping and pacing. It was really quite funny. He tripped (no I didn’t do it) on the way out and fell on his face. I then asked him if he needed any help and as soon as he was out the door I laughed.

    • jobeth says:

Catie…that fool just made a good case for his own abortion! (sarcasm…)

I also have two special needs grandchildren, one of whom lives with me. She is a true joy. Both give blessings and smiles to all who know them.

I had to chuckle on how you handled him! Good going girl!!! I just may have bonked him on the head! LOL

But I hope you said a prayer of thanks after you left the store. I do believe God got the best lick in…him falling flat on his face!!! You do know God has the best sense of humor. :-D !

    • catie says:

Jobeth, I did say a prayer that God will open his eyes and his heart. Maybe him falling was God’s way of giving him a message.

  8. pinandpuller says:

On another site someone pointed out that more abortionists have died on “Law and Order” than in real life.

  9. Liberals Demise says:

Mr. Tiller is the original “Baby Killer” not the veterans who honorably served in Vietnam!!

  10. proreason says:

Tiller is a gruesome example of the infinite complexities of the human mind.

One of only 3 people in the country willing to perform late term abortions M-F.

    Lutheran usher on Sunday.

I’m not condoning the killer, but it’s easier to understand his mind than Tiller’s.

    • pinandpuller says:

It’s easier because we are the type to defend innocent life rather than take it.

I couldn’t even take a job at animal control because it would mean gassing doggies and kitties.

This is like strippers for Jesus.

“The love of money is the root of all evil.”

      I reckon so.

    • jobeth says:

Pin, I found I had the same problem with our animal control. I wanted to volunteer but couldn’t because they put the animals to sleep. We did volunteer later with a no-kill rescue group.

And once I took a Rape Crisis course so I could be availble to assist those who had gone thru that torture as they came in to be seen after the rape. That is until I found out I was mandated to offer the morning after” pill. Couldn’t do that either. So I know how you feel.

(I should have known I didn’t “fit in” there though when they couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t accompany the group to the local gay pride parade and festival…!)

    • electionhangovervictim says:

PR…once again, you’ve articulated my sentiments exactly.

    • neocon mom says:

“Lutheran usher on Sunday” part reminded me that BTK was a Lutheran deacon. Not bashing the Lutherans, it’s that men like BTK and Tiller may go to great lengths to appear righteous, but there’s no deluding the Almighty..
Incidentally, I do have to wonder about allowing this man to serve in a church, even as a mere usher. I would have seen him repent before giving him the privilege of being a face of the church.

  11. BillK says:

Next up on the agenda: gun control.

Of course, I’d say I’m amazed at the fact that Tiller had no qualms stepping foot in a church to begin with, but the left never sees anything wrong with their actions.

Of course the chosen one’s comment:

President Barack Obama said he was “shocked and outraged” by the murder. “However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence,” he said.

should be mentioned to the left-wing kooks targeting medical researchers who use animals in California.

Somehow threats against them never quite get the same press.

    • Celina says:

Abortion is itself a “heinous act of violence”. You couldn’t get away with stabbing a dog in the back of the head and vaccuming out it’s brain. BO is talking in circles. Not that I expect much more from him.

Prayers for the repose of his soul as surely he is standing before God to answer for his life. My prayers are also with his family.

  12. 11ten1775 says:

It will be very interesting to see how the general public responds to this story. The murder is, of course, awful, and the media will try to drag it out for months as an example of “Right Wing Extremism.” But, with anti-abortion sentiments up to over half the population, will the public want to hear endless sympathetic stories about this man? And will this be used to fuel the hate (thought) crimes bill?
The flip side is that when Islamic extremists murder in cold blood for beliefs that deviate from their own, outrage is promptly squelched by the media. A man can chop off his own wife’s head, and the media barely acknowledges it. Somehow, that’s different.
I don’t really know what the right reaction to this man’s death is. It’s like trying to be sad that Hitler or Stalin is dead. Who knows how many children this man murdered? Well, the One he’s facing today does… May God grant his family peace.

    • neocon mom says:

The flip side is even bigger than that…Obama has gone to the “Muslim World” and offered our apologies for giving the lives of 4200 of our bravest and best (not to mention the 30,000 walking wounded whose lives are forever altered). He’s apologized to them for our liberation of Iraq and Kuwait and our patronage of their oilfields, which helps to spread the most violent permutations of Islam.
Why the murder of a murder profiteer should spark more outrage than how this man made a living demands an explanation that no one in the media will ever even demand from President Obama. His actions so far in office indicate that maybe he has given himself a pay-raise, since whether or not abortion is wrong used to be a question that he felt was “above his pay grade.” Clearly it is okay and worth defending..

  13. U NO HOO says:

    From a CNN site:

“Tiller had armed security at his clinic and a “pretty rigorous” security procedure at home, he said. But he “made an effort to live his life as normally as possible knowing he could be a target at any time,” Brownlie said.”

20/20 hindsight, Tiller put members of his church in danger. I hope that if I ever needed security I’d be sure that those around me, say those in church with me, would also be safe.

    I’m just saying.

Michael Savage ought to be interesting tomorrow night.

  14. wardmama4 says:

You know, it just occurred to me – one of the ‘social’ issues that Judge Sotomayor isn’t really on the record about is – yepper you guessed it – abortion.
And there were rumblings that some on the Left were a little worried that they might be approving a Souterist – who would end up being not what they expected once seated (I know, it is hard to imagine, but she is supposed to be a Catholic).

How convenient is this to have happened just as the ‘nomination’ hearings dog and pony show were just about to begin. Get those rabid abortion uber alles feminazis panties twisted real tight to insure that Judge Sotomayor gets approved a coronation – Just like The One ™.

As I said – too damn convenient and coincidental.

    • canary says:

wardmama, I noticed that too. Obama the bamboozling strategist, whatever it took to get elected, doesn’t care. If Sotomayer is against it, then he can play the blame card.

  15. canary says:

Well, maybe this link will comfort you in your sorrow. I know someone that went to him 7 monthes pregnant, whose life was not a threat. She had alot of money. Fell in love with a different man, than the father. Friends begged to adopt.

The worst thing from this is that the liberals will take this one single act, and accuse conservatives who are for protecting their country, families lives, and want a safe country. Churches need security anymore, especially, when you have such a public target, who was recently accused of not getting another medical opinion. With all the money the doctor made, he could have paid for his own security. Hopefully, for the doctor, when you die, you just don’t exist.
Fortunately, he did not feel much pain. News said Obama is shocked and outraged. Hopefully, Obama can have the same compassion for the murderer who sounds like a religious terrorist simialar to the muslim terrorist who chop, cut up and mutilate other humans in the name of religion. Maybe the murderer was a gangbanger, a casualty of society. Or maybe a father to be that went nuts. Revenge is mine saith the Lord.

Account of late term abortions when baby is born alive

    We put animals to sleep
We put death row prisoners to sleep
We put both older humans and animals to sleep before operation.
We numb gums before we pull teeth
We jail someone that kicks a dog
It’s 2009 and we can clone a human but we can’t put a tiny human asleep

  16. Liberals Make Great Speedbumps says:

I am an atheist and I believe that abortion is a personal choice. I don’t believe in abortion and the woman who elects to have one will have to deal with the aftermath of it, by herself, with no sympathy or help from me.

Regarding Dr. Tiller, I hope he suffered excruciating, mind numbing pain before he died. The man was an animal and gets no sympathy from me. How anyone could perform such a “procedure” and sleep at night is beyond my comprehension. He was a murderer, that is all. There is a world of difference between ending an unplanned pregnancy before the fetus is viable and murdering a living baby just moments from birth.

Obviously I don’t believe in hell but if I’m wrong, I hope that Tiller is thrown in the deepest, hottest corner of it.

    • JohnMG says:

Strength to his family? Yes. As for the rest. I simply regard it as another late-term abortion.

    • Liberals Make Great Speedbumps says:

John, I really don’t have much sympathy for his family either. They apparently had no problem living with the knowledge of what this butcher did for a living and sharing in the blood money resulting from it.

    • catie says:

Liberals, I’m sort of with you on that but at the same time to lose anyone especially in a violent manner must have some sort of negative impact even if he was a killer (albeit supposedly a legal killer). I’m sure they’ll be out there singing his praises at the next naral rally.

    • canary says:

I do not feel sorry for his well off family who sat and ate with him, slept with him, shared the same toilet with him. His family will continue to be well off, from his fortune. (probably had a lot of life insurance policies) His mass production clinic, following first the mass productions of hotel rooms for the first days of the lengthy pre-death cocktails, before the final phase of expelling on his death row ten beds separated by curtains. His prior use of chemcials to burn the babies (nicknamed candy apple babies).

In the recent attempt of Kansas to prosecute him for late term abortions that did not follow under the guidelines, if the prosecution could have gotten the medical documents, patient files, and witnesses they requested, he’d most likely do to his own hate crimes, have spent the rest of his life in prison.

This terrible act of murder against him, will at least see some justice when he is
prosecuted. But, the country shouldn’t be held accountable for an extremely rare crime.

    • Liberals Make Great Speedbumps says:

I’m sorry catie, but it is just getting harder and harder to be civil regarding matters such as this. The way the media has treated the killing of that soldier at the recruitment center, IN THIS COUNTRY by some damned muslim, only solidifies my sentiments. I stand by what I said. I cannot see ANY downside to that piece of garbage being dead. Sorry if this rant is somewhat incoherent, but I am pissed!

    • catie says:

Liberals, I saw something on my stupid AT&T homepage (why I still pay this people $23 a month is beyond me but I’ve had that email for 11 years) and it was the family saying “he wanted to help women”. There was nothing on it about the shooting at the recruiting center but a story about the messiah visiting the troops at Bethesda. Which of course is ridiculous a W went all the time but the folks at AT&T didn’t care. But after my digression, I am now of your mind. Last night O’Reilly said that the Washington Times estimated that he has “destroyed” 60K babies.
Strangely enough, the atheists I know are generally more pro-life than my so-called Catholic relatives.

    • Liberals Make Great Speedbumps says:

Catie, I saw that on O’Reilly also and I could not believe that number either. I think they said he operated his murder mill for 35 years, that’s 12,775 days. For that number to be accurate he would have committed 4.6 murders a day, everyday since going into business. If that number is accurate that is simply unimaginable. That beast had a conscience as black as Stalin or Hitler. I may not believe in God but this certainly makes me question what causes evil because that is what Tiller simply was.

  17. wardmama4 says:

Damn, damn, damn – how could I have not seen it – too obvious, I couldn’t see the forest for the trees.

This isn’t about Judge Sotomayor, this isn’t about abortion, this isn’t about anything other than The One ™ now having every single, fringe leftist, feminazi, foaming at the mouth barking mad moonbat – on the same page with him and Napolitano to not only revive but insure that the DHS ‘right-wing’ extremist report now has a ‘credible’ proof of violence evidence – but even more, now they can move to silence (Fairness Doctrine) and jail (Hate Crimes) any and all who disagree with the fake, empty suit Teleprompter Precedent. Of course it won’t hurt at all to be able to shove through an anti-Constitutional racist Judge to sit on the Supreme Court – who believes that the 2nd Amendment does not apply to the individual (see DC vs Heller as to how the Supreme Court ruled on that belief) – i.e. a anti-gun gun grabber enabler.

The One ™ and his Thug cabal (God, now I’m sounding like the leftists did during the Bush years) needed this to get all their final silencing & control tools through Congress – wouldn’t put it past them to have ‘hired’ the hit man – bet he dies ‘suddenly’ by some other ‘right-wing’ extremist (KKK would be a real nice touch for this racist posse) before he even goes to trial. (You know how very much The One ™ wants to emulate JFK)

God Help America – I keep praying that someone on the Right/GOP has the backbone to stand up and fight this stuff. Now would be nice – anyone in DC listening?

  18. proreason says:

“people who will approach someone at a store, restaurant, what have you and ask a person why that child was not aborted. ”

That’s unbelievable to me. You must have the temperment of a saint.

    • catie says:

Pro, in the beginning I would tell them to “f-off” but I think that was the reaction they were looking for because they would always laugh. But then I don’t know, I had like an epiphany and decided to try to “kill them with kindness”. Most of them are condescending though but I think that’s the liberal way. BTW in this mornings Washington Times they did a story on an hastily put together “vigil” for this dude in DuPont Circle (where my parents got engaged oddly enough) and they had about 120 people (if I remember correctly) there having found out about it on someone’s naral twitter. There was some clown who was named Alex Thurston who was a recent graduate of Georgetown of all places saying all the stupid right did was make him a martyr. Then there were signs to “Stop the Right Wing Terrorists”. Of course, we’re the terrorists.

    • electionhangovervictim says:

Yeah, catie, you have much more patience than I do. I honestly think my first reaction would have been to slap him across the face. Seriously, the nerve of someone asking such a question…

  19. canary says:

Catie, With every pregnancy I’ve had someone, co-worker, friends (ones I’ve never judged on their own abortions, but they are the worst) casually, make comments, oh, well you should get an abortion and go back to school. Or oh, get an abortion so you don’t have the extra expenses. And what get’s me the most is after your baby is born, no one says after seeing the little ones, “oh, I feel so bad for suggesting you get an abortion. Or I’m glad you had little so and so. But, the woman I knew that had the 7th month term late abortion, described to me with a smile on her face, her deceased babies artery on his crown, which protrudes in premature babies. She called it some fancy technical name, and I was stunned and floored. I guess she studied up on it. She’s always hated kids. Regretted her first and only child, left stretch marks and all. When I hear a woman depressed over an abortion, some for years, I just tell them, to ask God for forgiveness, and he does, and they have to stop beating themselves over. I sure as heck don’t feel to blame for what someone else did. If we want to play the blame game, at least Obama can’t blame it on Bush, It was Obama that signed and exploited a barbaric new procedure and threatening doctor’s who don’t perform them will be prosecuted. That one Republican Congressman that’s a doctor, said he’d go to jail before he’d do it.

    • catie says:

Canary, years ago I was channel surfing and came across that Mother Angelica on EWTN and for some reason I stopped. She was talking about asking God for forgiveness and we were arrogant if we did not believe that he would give it if it was asked. I have a good friend who had an abortion and told her about that and I think it finally rang a bell in her head. She’s never been the same since the abortion but I think she’s better than she was.
That woman you mentioned reminds me of a lot of women I seem to meet these days. It’s all about them and they don’t want any kids messing up their free time and they have abortions like getting their teeth cleaned. One of my former high school classmates is an OBGYN (who will leave her career and go back to her original nursing career if she is forced to do abortions) and she was telling me that about 85% of her patients now schedule a tummy tuck the day after they deliver and they get them done. I guess it’s our narcissistic society.
It is sad that when people mention “oh you should have an abortion” they never mention what a beautiful child is. I just don’t get people.

    • dulcimergrl says:

canary and Catie, there is a post-abortion ministry called Rachel’s Vineyard that conducts weekend retreats for women who’ve had abortions. I sing in a church choir that performed in a fund raiser for them last December. The organization seems very caring; here is the website: http://www.rachelsvineyard.org/index.htm

    • JulieJ says:

Many of these people are in denial over their own abortions.

  20. neocon mom says:

When will Obama condemn the Muslim fathers who kill their daughters for not wearing a hijab? While a public denouncement of vigilante justice may be appropriate, why so much “outrage”? Even if you thought the service this man provided might be necessary in some cases, the record shows this man to be a profiteer of murder and despair. If the Planned Parenthood argument is that “it” is just a cluster of cells, what then, is “it” when “it” can survive outside of the mother’s womb?
If Mummia and Tookie can be martyrs for the left, then what’s to stop them from making Tiller a martyr now? That will backfire, like when pro-abortion rights groups railed against the state charging Scott Peterson with a double murder because Laci was pregnant. Tiller was in the news recently, and it sparked no outrage from the Democrats that this man violated at the very least, the spirit of the law when he had the “outside” consult performed by someone in his own practice. Why risk that an objective doctor would put the brakes on having such a “last ditch” procedure performed? I can’t even comprehend what would motivate someone to work in an office like this. I know why nurses want to work in L&D but this? The man who murdered Jeffery Dahmer committed a crime, but I did not find myself “outraged” over that one either.

  21. Semper-Par-FI says:

The sugar coating in the media is going to make me vomit. Mr. Tiller was an in your face Baby killer. I guess he was not to tolerant of other peoples views. He should have attended some diversity training. All I have to say is the sun is setting and Babies in Kansas are safer. Good luck in Hell Mr. Tiller I am sure with your resume you will get the number two spot.

I don’t condone murder for any reason. Strangely ironic, poetic justice or perhaps a snag in the fabric of life. Mr. Tiller killed. Maybe the shooter was a survivor of a “botched” abortion.

    • canary says:

Absolutely. Just because the case against him in criminal court didn’t work out, there’s still the civil suit courts. Plus, on his one of his latest techniques, women who went through excruciating pain (maybe not as bad as getting chopped or slowly burned to death) the one where he visits them in hotels for a few days adding sticks to slowly dilate their cervix, has caused permanent damage in women and chronic pain that never left. He’s comparable to Hitler.
Our own Hitler might make it a law like China did, one baby only. This led to parents killing baby girls, because the Asian countries like muslims perfer men babies. Both share the tradition of the woman walks behind the man.

  23. canary says:

I just news where a Kansas politican and lawyer, and they said that the charges Kilman Tilman was just aquited for was just the tip of the ice-berg, and he was getting ready to be charged with alot more. While we recently heard the survey changing to more against abortion, as far as the late-term abortion has grown to 73% against it. When you have at least 100 million Americans that thought the doctor was wrong, yet, the potus and Homeland Security classifies half the country into a hate-crime group, is just our leaders bigotry showing.

  24. JulieJ says:

There are thousands of murders committed every day yet The One chose to comment on this one! Of course, no mention of the babies killed in the abortuary or of the women who have been killed.

    • gradstudent says:

Of course the One is going to comment on the murder of (read: cannonize) an abortionist. It gets him off the hook for denouncing the shooting of the soldiers in Little Rock.

  25. I had my brother post a link on facebook to a New York Times post about whether or not Bill O’Reilly is to blame for the murder, you know, because he spoke against this man so many times on his show. What a joke huh? I guess Keith Olberman will be blamed if Bill O’Reilly or Rush Limbaugh are murdered because they were “Worlds Worst” after all?

  26. TNpatriot says:

I don’t post here much, but I was perusing through some huffpost dribble (I know not a sane place to be but I do like to see how the other side thinks) and read through some of the comments on their tiller post. I have never been so sickened in my life.

I read a series of comments from a few posters yelling at someone for even having the nerve to suggest that a man should have say in the abortion debate. I got enraged and posted a comment but it was deleted along with 90% of my other comments there.

Anyway, needed to share my own personal abortion nightmare, and this is the one place I knew I could…..

My second child was aborted by my then girlfriend. I begged, pleaded, offered to take the child and raise them on my own if only she would have her. I contacted a lawyer about my rights as the father and low and behold had none. I threatened her, told her if she insisted on murdering my child I and our first child were leaving. Still no impact on her. What life threatening condition did she have that she needed this abortion?? Well, of course she did not want to go with out partying for an entire year. Yes, I am serious, she needed to party so she murdered my child.

I have raised my daughter on my own since she was six months old. My parents help me tremendously but we have not seen or heard from my ex in about 4 years.

Just reading the comments from the disgusting people calling this guy an american hero makes me physically ill. I will never understand how anyone can condone this kind of murder.

    • Liberals Demise says:

Maybe they (HuffPosters) should seek Universal Health Care from Dr. Mengela and his cohorts! I hear Jack the Dripper is making house calls again!!

    • TN, that is a sad story indeed. Interesting how you have no rights as the father of an unborn child, yet if she were to have the child and want no part of you, she could probaly win a case for you to pay child support.

    • proreason says:

TN, that’s a tragic story. You sound like a good man.

Your story reminded me of something I often think, but haven’t stated here.

For some reason, libwits are even more intent to deprive other people of rights than they are to exercise their own rights.

The Moron, as the primary example, is more than willing to destroy the country to enact his agenda. If that was not true, then he would do it gradually, marking “success” as he went. But he is so furious at what he perceives to be cruelties to his peoples, that no matter what, he is going to have his way, and 100% of his way….and damn the torpedos.

On a smaller scale, every lib freak in the world is the same way. They would rather screw everybody than let you have what you want for 1 more second.

In your case, TN, your ex chose to murder your baby rather than let you have you way, even though you offered her a course with virtually no downside for herself.

The reason for all of this, I suspect, is that they refuse to even consider other actions than what their uncontrolled and irresponsible emotions dictate. For Obamy, he won’t even consider the possibility of not being the smartest person in the world. For libwit ninnies, they won’t ever consider that their fury at the world is a function of their own failures. For your ex, she didn’t want the guilt that would be brought on by a beautiful child living happily with you.

      It’s a frightening mentality.

And one that has punished you, and is punishing the entire country, in ways that only Dante could imagine.

    • TNpatriot says:

Pro, jobeth thank you for your kind words

    • neocon mom says:

You are not the first man that I have heard say that they were devastated when their girlfriend decided to abort the baby, some without even consulting with the father.
I feel for you deeply. You are a victim of abortion as well. Your ex is too, and one day, if she stops partying enough to feel the pain she’s trying to escape, she’ll feel it too.
I pray that you can forgive her and find healing and peace through Christ our Lord. God bless you and your daughter..

    • catie says:

TNpatriot, thank you for sharing your story. I think most men would think they would have rights until they got in that situation. God Bless.

    • Barbie says:

I hope you don’t mind my jumping in on this post. My sister just told me her son-in-law, who is well into his forties, has two young daughters from a first marriage. I’ve heard before these girls only contact their dad when they want something.

Anyway, the youngest wound up pregnant (she’s not married), and announced to her dad she was going to get an abortion. Her went to her house and literally cried and cried and begged her not to get an abortion telling her he and his wife would take and raise the baby(they’ve raised other grandchildren, too, very good to kids), to which this girl replied she didn’t want him raising her kid. She would rather kill her kid then let someone love and raise the child. Incredible lack of decency. I hope he never talks to his kid again. (I’m not nice like neocon mom). I’m so angry and sad that people throw away other people. There will be a price to pay for this – and I’m not nice like others here, I hope they reap what they sow.

TNPatriot, I’m sorry men don’t have much of a say in much when it comes to children and I’m sorry for the way your girlfriend and the law disregards mens’ rights. I learned years ago the law gives everything in the way of rights to the woman and stomps on men. I learned that when my sister in law divorced my brother in the most vicious of ways. Good luck to you all.

I in no way condone violence, but when I think of Tiller’s demise, I think of how many unborn people will be protected from him. I don’t care what anyone says – he killed 60,000 people who deserved the right to life. And I think his family is totally creepy for living off the blood money.

    • pdsand says:

It’s kinda funny, abortion is the only time Obama doesn’t demand that everybody sit down at the table and reach a conclusion that works best for everybody.

  27. jobeth says:

First I want to tell you how much I admire your standards and love for your kids..both born and unborn. Someday you will meet your little one. As to the little girl you are raising, she is blessed with a truly great dad!

As to that woman…note I didn’t call her a lady, wife or a mother….You are well rid of her and even though a child should have a relationship with both parents…normally…I think some people are just plain toxic. Sounds like your little girl has the best of her parents with her now…and extended family.

As to Tiller the baby killer….it says in the Bible I believe something like…”You live by the sword you die by the sword!”

A rather appropriate way for him to go out wouldn’t you say?

  28. JulieJ says:

It is a sad day when so called feminists such as Patricia Ireland defend and even memorialize a man who earned his living by destroying viable pre born babies. And yes, Pat admitted that life begins at conception. She simply doesn’t care. The pro aborts are very, very cold people.
