Latest Recovery Claim From Obama Camp

From Mr. Obama’s perpetual campaign (of mendacity):

Xxxxx –

Wondering what the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — President Obama’s stimulus bill — has accomplished? Look at this:

One year ago tomorrow, after tens of thousands of you shared stories and called your representatives, Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

And while this anniversary isn’t a cause for celebration, there is reason to be optimistic. This chart makes it clear: We’re on the road to recovery.

Still, we know there is a long way to go. Many Americans are still struggling, and creating jobs remains President Obama’s top priority.

Thanks for making change happen,

David Plouffe

Paid for by Organizing for America, a project of the Democratic National Committee — 430 South Capitol Street SE, Washington, D.C. 20003. This communication is not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.

You see, prosperity recovery is just around the corner.

Still, we are not quite sure how we made this change happen. Indeed, we’re not even sure that any change has happened.

Especially since the only chart we can find from the US Bureau of Labor statistics for the period cited above is this one:

Which represents the percentage of unemployed in the US. And it is nothing to brag about.

Moreover, we are more of the mind of Senator Bayh.

We suspect Mr. Obama’s ‘stimulus’ has yet to create a single job, at least not one outside of the public sector.

And after squandering $787 billion of the taxpayers’ dollars, that is surely criminal.

We’re on the road to recovery in government bureaucratic jobs. Not so much in the private sector.

They say around 50% of the money has been spent. We all understand now that besides grants to study sex and alcohol, it was basically a bailout of the SEIU and co. That part of the slush is running out and the economy hasn’t rebounded, so now the other half of the cash that was actually meant for helping Dems in 2010 is going to have to go back to the State’s and union pensions again to “save” another 2 million jobs while we net another 5 million lost.

No depression, just another year of private market pirating and dangerous overall stagflation. The Dems are finished if we make it to the election. Still with 59 votes, it’s dawned on some that they’re the radical minority entrenching their names into what history will remember as a disastrous presidency and failed traitorous revolution.

The only success he can tout is having hemorrhaged the rate at which we lose jobs resulting from the crisis his colleagues created and covered up until it was too late.

Going back a year, remember the first piece of criticism that landed on Obama is that he was too fatalistic, too wrapped in making opportunity out of faux ‘crisis’ when signs were that the financial meltdown was obviously bad but not nearly as threatening to the economy as to send us to where we are.

He had to keep the nation in crisis so he could demonize the AIG bonuses and finish clearing the banking field for Goldman; so he could secure the UAW’s take over of GM and Chrysler, which when it came out that the UAW and the government instead of the auto-maker’s debtors were going to be recieving bulk shares of company control rather than conventional bankruptcy – that’s when the straw broke. Cap and Trade, HealthCare, and everything else of 2009 all added to practical need for businesses – thus individuals – to tighten spending, stop borrowing, stop hiring.

Barack Hussein Obama, the national economy may not be in a depression, but tens of millions of Americans sure the hell are; and that is 100% WHY-OH-YOUR fault.

Rush is right; this is “The Big Lie”

Gee, if Bush had remained in office, every job in the country would be gone by now.

We’re lucky that a committed communist took charge.

  4. Flame says:

Interesting. I wonder if this is an official government communications and has it been archived with the government records since it is signed by Plouffe, who is now on the President’s official staff
