Law & Order Episode To Mirror Trayvon Shooting

From the UK’s Daily Mail:

‘Paula Deen SHOOTS Trayvon Martin’ in new SVU that wraps both scandals into one controversial episode… and Cybill Shepard plays gun-wielding TV chef

22 August 2013

‘Law & Order SVU’ is tackling racial profiling head on in an upcoming episode that winds together the controversial Trayvon Martin case and the Paula Deen scandal.

And never mind that the only racial profiling in the Trayvon case was done by Trayvon. (‘Creepy ass cracker.’) But this is yet another way the left re-writes history, with almost instant revisionism.

NBC’s low information viewers will undoubtedly believe this show to be a truer depiction of events than the Zimmerman trial was.

In the episode, Cybill Shepard plays Jolene Castille, a famous southern chef. But instead of making a racial slur, like Deen, she guns down an unarmed, hoodie-wearing black teen she thought was following her on the Upper West Side, mirroring the Trayvon Martin slaying.

Well, using the N-Word is just as bad as shooting someone. In fact, it might even be worse. By the way, is this famous southern chef also a white Hispanic?

According to TV Guide, Castille claims she killed the teen in an act of self-defense because she knew police were chasing a rapist of the same description…

Executive Producer Warren Leight confirmed [the news] to Entertainment Weekly. ‘(Jeffrey) Tambor is a defense attorney representing a very high-profile celebrity woman chef who thought she was being pursued by a rapist and turned around it was a teenager. And she shot him,’ he said…

Yes, that is exactly like what happened in the Trayvon case. Except they left out the part about the poor teenager slamming the southern chef’s head into the sidewalk.

Leight told the magazine the episode will also deal with New York’s stop-and-frisk policy.

Why not? Maybe they can also work in the injustice of requiring photo IDs to vote.

He said the show would ask the tough questions. ‘Is racial profiling justifiable? Can self-defense involve racial profiling? We’re diving right into that,’ he said. ‘Can that happen in New York? Absolutely.

Wow, that is really gutsy. But NBC is famous for being gutsy. And for editing the tapes of 911 calls to make people look like racists when they aren’t.

The NBC sex-crimes drama is known for ripping plot lines straight from the headlines. Last season, an episode depicted a violent love affair between two pop stars in a story that uncannily resembled Rihanna and Chris Brown’s abusive relationship.

And Leigh said this season will feature more real crimes than usual because ‘it’s almost like we’ve been bombarded with headlines.’

So they are going to do episodes on Benghazi and the IRS targeting the Tea Party and the DOJ investigating reporters?

Leight added that the Zimmerman trial, reflected in the script, was so polarising it even divided the SVU team.

‘When the script was published it became a litmus test for everybody here,’ he said. ‘It was really interesting to see people read that script and have different interpretations about who did what and whether or not they deserved prison for it. It was fascinating.’

And those who were on the wrong side of this "litmus test" will soon be getting their pink slips.

I should write Dick Wolfe and ask him when he plans an episode of Urban Utes Beat 89 year old Vet to death .. or when can we expect the “It’s Fun to Shoot White People!” episode … or Gang Rape a Bitch For the Crips.

Surely Dick is … reasonable about these things.

Is Oprah going to play the Ghettopotamus girlfriend character?

As much as I wish I was that imaginative, I can’t take credit for that moniker. The first time I saw it was here on S&L by mr_bill

A cursory search of google has it’s earliest use when someone called spooledup on Breitbart.com said, “Someone get this ghettopotamus a glass of grape drank to wash the spare tire down”, but they could have seen it here.

There are even photos of the creature and I also noticed that even GoDaddy is trying to sell the domain name.

I tip my hat to whoever branded the “Queen of Cursive”.

I stopped watching Law and Order years ago when I couldn’t stomach the liberal crap being fed into every episode. The moral high horse alot of the show preached while trying to explain why a gang banger was never responsible for his crimes got old real quick. Of course the rich white person was always guilty but would find a way sometimes to escape justice while the poor minority punk who was a serial rapist and murder was just misunderstood and wasn’t responsible because he grew up poor.

Are they also going to have the chef try and call 911 only to have the teen come up behind her and beat her face into the curbing while screaming racial slurs at her? I mean the teen needs to be some large teen like Martin was, not some little 14 year old baby-faced kid like the Martin agitators like to portray him as in their photos. Also will the “victim” have been kicked out of school for fighting, selling drugs, and smoking pot? Watch the kid “just be walking home from the store with an ice tea and a bag of skittles” and watch the chef get railroaded into being a killer and racist.

      mine was the West Wing,
you know , that comedy show were liberal democrats face the forces of Conservative darkness in a Greek tragedy style, week after week.
of course i didn’t see too many.

About 20 years ago I made the conscious decision to never watch a network primetime show until it went into syndication. That way I would know it was at least good enough for others to find worth watching and it probably wasn’t just a fad. Then I decide whether it’s worth my time. As a result, I never saw an episode of Frazier or Seinfeld until they were in re-runs.
All TV has gone to the queers and all the other of the left wing’s cause célèbre. I can’t bring myself to watch any of it. I watch sports, science and news and they are quickly moving in the same direction. Sooner or later I’m going to turn off the satelitte and networks and just watch what I want, when I want online. I spend several hours a week on YouTube and Crackel already. Hulu and Netflix only replay the same trash that’s on Cable, Satellite and Networks. They don’t need my money.

Noyz, your TV habit mirrors mine in many ways.
a few months ago the Better Half was out of town for 5 days and not once did i turn on the television.
like you, i get what i require online.
but i do have the idiot box on now.
the Little League World Series is on

somethings can’t be screwed up .
but after that, its a book (print or ebook) outside.

    • Noyzmakr says:

I won’t see my brother again until the end of the Little League World Series….lol.

I do most of my viewing on YouTube on a channel where I post what i want to watch. (Hint: click my username) Usually old british TV mysteries and comedies. They are much better written than most of the trash on american TV. There are thousands of very old movies and TV shows past their copyright protections on there.

How the people uploading these newer movies and shows get away with it is beyond me. I suspect the British copyright laws aren’t as ridiculous as ours. It used to be that copyrighted material lost it’s protection after a few decades, but in the US it’s a very long time.

I’ve taken to watching a lot of TV and movies based on Agatha Christie. Poirot and Miss Marple never get old. And then there is always Sherlock Holmes.
