Lawyer Yet To Contact NRA On Confidentiality

From a demanding Washington Post:

Herman Cain’s accuser wants to tell her side of story, lawyer says

A woman who accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment in the 1990s is ready for her story to come out, her attorney said Tuesday, even as the Republican presidential hopeful spent a second day trying to quell the mounting controversy and explain his conflicting recollections of the matter.

Joel P. Bennett, a lawyer representing one of two women who made the claims against Cain, said Tuesday that his client is barred from publicly relating her side because of a non-disclosure agreement she signed upon leaving the National Restaurant Association, where Cain served as president from 1996 through 1999.

Bennett is calling on the association to waive the agreement so the woman, a federal worker living in suburban Maryland, can rebut Cain’s statements this week that the allegations were false and baseless.

“It is just frustrating that Herman Cain is going around bad-mouthing the two complainants, and my client is blocked by a confidentiality agreement,” Bennett said in an interview. “The National Restaurant Association ought to release them and allow them to respond.”

Note that Cain is being badgered for not being more forthcoming about this. Even though he is also covered by this same confidentiality agreement, as is noted below.

Tuesday on Fox News, Cain declined to comment on whether the non-disclosure agreement should be lifted, saying he is consulting with a lawyer about the possible legal implications. In a statement, the restaurant association said that it had not been approached by Bennett but that it would “respond as appropriate.”

Of course it is far more dramatic – to just make your demands in the press. And that way you can play things out longer, too.

Bennett’s client is eager to share her story, the lawyer said, but according to someone familiar with her thinking who spoke on the condition of anonymity, she also is wary of her name becoming public. The woman “did not create this story,” the source said, and she thinks she has been “completely swept up in this hurricane” but is discussing with her family whether to make her story public.

Does she want it to be made public or not? She sounds "inconsistent."

The woman’s claim was that the harassment occurred over months and was not an isolated comment or incident, the source said

This is the woman who according to Cain saw his gesturing about the height of his wife as "sexual harassment." If that is true, you would think such ‘harassment’ must have happened to her just about every day.

Asked whether he had violated the non-disclosure agreement by divulging details about the matter, Cain responded in the Fox interview that he had not because he did not reveal the complainant’s name

Notice how the media is demanding that Cain ignore his confidentiality agreement, while at the same time accusing him of breaking it.

Gotta keep the Black Man down. You know how they are, they’ll be raping the women if we don;t do something about this uppity ****r

My relatives who are uber-liberal are exulting in The Cain Problem, I’ve pointed out the media lynch job by innuendo and stereotyping and they’re replying with “No, no, He did it, you know he did it.”

It’s going right over their heads.

It’s amazing, isn’t it? When covered with fecal matter and dangling in front of their noses, they still cannot recognize it.

It should be clear to them but it’s never going to happen that the rabid racism is, was and always will be a fixture of the left.

Listen!: Unless Herman Cain did one of the following, I don’t care, and the only punishment that’s fitting of a politician anyway is spending 50+ years in the Senate:

    ~was a KKK grand keagle. . .
~killed his mistress in a drunken stupor, then tried to get one of his buddies to take the blame. . .
~spent 20 years in a raging bigot’s church, and pretended not to hear a negative word. . .
~threw his Vietnam medals over a fence, and accused soldiers of being like Genghis Khan. . .
~ignored terrorism his entire term, then had sex with an intern his daughter’s age, then tried to cover it up. . .

I am going to apply the very low standards democrats have for themselves, to everyone else. If they have any complaints about Republicans, I am going to stick Rev. Wright, Monica Lewinsky, Tawana Brawley, Mary Jo Kopechne, Karin Stanford–(REVEREND Jessie Jackson’s mistress), Gov. McGreevey, Eliot Spitzer, Kwame Kilpatrick, Gov. David Paterson…as proof that all these were also non-issues for the dem. party.

” …then had sex with an intern his daughter’s age…”

Hey…according to Billy, it wasn’t sex…’cuz the stain was ON the dress not under it. LOL

By the way, did we ever find out what the definition of IS, is?

      Life is so confusing sometimes.

The questions aren’t confusing……….but the answers sure as hell are. :-(
