Radical Leftists Chase Dobbs Off CNN

From those champions of a free press at the Associated Press:

Lou Dobbs, CNN part company, leaving uncertainty

By David Bauder, AP Television Writer

NEW YORK – Lou Dobbs may have left his anchor chair, but he says he’ll keep talking.

The last of the original CNN hosts, Dobbs told viewers on Wednesday that he was quitting his nightly show — effective at the end of the hour — to pursue new opportunities.

What those are is still unclear, though he vowed to be a leader in the "national conversation" to restore "inspiration to our great free society and our market economy."

CNN, meanwhile, plans to announce its decision on who will replace Dobbs on Thursday.

Dobbs became a a lightning rod for criticism following his transition from a business journalist to an opinionated anchor on such issues as illegal immigration.

He was a CNN original, signing on when the cable network started in 1980. For much of that time, he hosted a nightly business broadcast that became one of the most influential shows in the corporate world, and CNN’s most profitable show for advertising revenue.

But Dobbs said his world view changed after the 2001 terrorist attacks and corporate corruption scandals, and he began to more freely express his opinions. He was particularly persistent in bringing the immigration issue to the fore, winning him both higher ratings and enemies. Latino groups had an active petition drive seeking his removal.

His presence became awkward for CNN, particularly as it began emphasizing reporting and non-opinion shows. He angered management this summer by pressing questions about President Barack Obama’s birth site after CNN reporters determined there was no issue.

Then came Wednesday night’s shock announcement. Seated at an anchor desk in front of a screen with a fluttering American flag, Dobbs gave the day’s headlines and then said the network had allowed him to be released early from his contract.

"This will be my last broadcast," he said.

Dobbs said the decision came after months of discussion with CNN U.S. President Jon Klein. Dobbs mentioned his interest in issues such as health care, jobs, immigration, climate change and the wars.

"Unfortunately, these issues are now defined in the public arena by partisanship and ideology rather than rigorous empirical thought and forthright analysis and discussion," he said. "I will be working diligently to change that as best I can." …

His resignation was hailed by activists who were seeking his ouster.

"Our contention all along was that Lou Dobbs — who has a long history of spreading lies and conspiracy theories about immigrants and Latinos — does not belong on the most trusted name in news," said Roberto Lovato, co-founder of Presente.org. "We are thrilled that Dobbs no longer has the legitimate platform from which to incite fear and hate."

Tom Saenz, president of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the leading Latino legal organization, said, "The Latino community can and should celebrate that Lou Dobbs is no longer on CNN."

U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez, a Democrat from Dobbs’ home state of New Jersey and the Senate’s only Hispanic member, called it "addition by subtraction" for CNN.

The liberal research group Media Matters, which had urged CNN to drop Dobbs, also welcomed the news. "This is a happy day for all those who care about this nation of immigrants and believe in the power of media to elevate the political discourse," said Eric Burns, its president

Well, there is very little uncertainty as to why Mr. Dobbs is leaving.

CNN happily takes its marching orders from the ‘open borders’ fanatics at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the George Soros paid assassins at Media Matters.

Never mind that Mr. Dobbs had CNN’s most profitable show.

Advancing their agenda has always been more important even than making money.

His presence became awkward for CNN, particularly as it began emphasizing reporting and non-opinion shows.

Who says the Associated Press doesn’t have a sense of humor?

Amazing! Liberals claim victory in taking over a media outlet that no one watches. Brilliant!

I wasn’t aware they were still on the air.

I programmed them out of my channel guide years ago, I didn’t want to risk stumbling across their blather when I was channel surfing, I just don’t have the stomach for it.

He couldn’t be more right. Anyone with half a brian knows that the liberals have to use feelings to justify their positions. Positions that are untenable once they been exposed as lunacy by “rigorous empirical thought and forthright analysis.” Too bad there are too many chronically dependant upon the government, and a good number of well meaning but self destructive bleeding heart enablers who hold such positions.

They shot at Dobbs house you know.

    So much for peace-loving liberals.

Dobb’s exit from the Communist’s Negative Network will do nothing but regulate CNN to Air America status….and remain being propped up by infusions of cash from that traitorous bastard Soros and his ilk.

Lou Dobbs will succeed now, wildly so, mainly because he has been freed from the fetters of the PC crowd and the KGB like actions of liberal leftists and progressive morons who’s idea of free speech is “say what we tell you to say, and never, ever disagree with our agenda”.

I applaud his decision to distance himself from a slowly sinking ship, and laugh because he was one of the few programs that was staunching the massive hemorrhaging of capital from the so called “news program” that has to reach UP to touch the bottom of the ratings wars.

CNN who is french kissing Media Matters like a hormone raging teen will soon discover the paradigm shift is going to leave them mired in the muck of progressive ideology, and they will soon go the way of their benefactors in the coming months.

The America Citizen is aware of the duplicitous fabrication of “facts” by the left, and as they have done in all the years past, they will take time out of their own lives to put a stop to the lunacy that has taken hold in our country.

It wont be pretty, but it is inevitable. The socialist progressive dream for a new America has been exposed as a horribly flawed experiment in pseudo slavery, and as such, it wont be allowed to continue.

People can only be led when they allow their leaders to lead. When “we, the people” finally say simply “NO!”….they will discover that their glass house of purchased power will shatter with them in it.

I used to be concerned that nobody would stand up and say “enough”. I no longer am. The dawn of a new era is at hand, and the sun is slowly rising on the cold darkness of liberal progressivism that almost became a perpetual existence in this great land of ours.

WE..THE PEOPLE…..will prevail. Those who choose to remain in the dark will find that they will inherit a long long sleep. Good triumphs over evil…it always has. This will be no exception. It is heartening to know that I am not alone in this quest to rid our Nation of this threat.

I’m sure Mr. Dobbs will do quite well on Fox, and he will have a much larger audience and one that is more intelligent than the drones appearing on and watching the Commie “News” Network.

I am logged into Media Matters mainly to see what they are up to. Today I received a thank you from Mr. Ed Burnes, President of Media Matters, congradulating me on helping to get Lou Dobbs off CNN. Following is my response to Mr. Burnes.

Hi Ed, I did not have a hand in Dobbs stepping down I only loged into your site to see what your up to. In fact I am hoping he will be teaming up with fox. He has been right on and the left, well, I just do not understand them. They are runining this country. Things are looking up though. By this time in 2010 there should be about 200 + X congress persons and Senators, looking for jobs, starting with Pelosi and Reid. You corrupt free enterprise by intimating advertisers into not sponsering certain radio and tv programs but, guess what, they are still running strong, inspite of these pullout’s. In fact, stronger than your, CNN,CBS,NBC, ABC and NPR, I wonder why????
