Marion Barry Arrested – For Stalking

From Washington Post:

D.C. Councilmember Marion Barry Arrested for Stalking

D.C. Council member Marion Barry was arrested last night and charged with stalking a woman after the woman reported that Barry was "bothering her" as the two traveled in separate vehicles in Anacostia Park, police said this morning.

At about 8:45 p.m., a woman traveling near the intersection Good Hope Road and Anacostia Drive flagged down a U.S. Park Police officer to report that a man in a vehicle nearby was stalking her, said Sgt. David Schlosser, a Park Police spokesman. That man, Schlosser said, was Barry.

The officer interviewed the woman and Barry, then arrested Barry and took him to the Park Police’s Anacostia Station, Schlosser said. There a detective interviewed Barry again, and police charged him with a misdemeanor count of stalking. Barry was released and ordered to appear in court, likely sometime later this week, Schlosser said.

Schlosser declined to identify the woman or specify her relationship with Barry. He also declined to detail what Barry told officers regarding the incident…

Barry, a former D.C. mayor, has had a series of brushes with the law during a long career in politics and civic activism. He is currently on probation for tax offenses.

Obviously, ‘the [young lady] set him up.’

Oddly enough, however, neither this article nor the report from the Associated Press mention Mr. Barry’s party affiliation.

Of course if he had once been a Republican dog-catcher it would have been noted in the headline and lead (lede).

Marion Barry is the model for the new democrat man. Even though he has been unjustly harassed because of his race all of his life, he continues to demand and exercise his rights……like the rights to intimidate women, to not pay taxes, to smoke crack cocain, and to steal what he needs to live the lifestyle he deserves.

And hey, he’s a voter just like you and me, right.

Except he has a lot more than 1 vote.

Using crack, stalking, is he trying to build a resume to run for the White House?

  3. Rusty Shackleford says:

Well, sadly, this is what happens when you have scared every decent hooker in town. You have to resort to stalking.

I’m sure the DNC will come to his defense and “the twins” (Jesse and Al) will play it as a clear case of racism on the part of the person being stalked…along with destroying the arresting officer’s career.

Here’s hoping that both the victim and the arresting officer were black.

That’s how they play pool. But like O.J., time is the criminal’s enemy. Eventually, they will screw up so badly…so plainly…so….so…..OBVIOUSLY that even the most liberal of the liberals won’t be able to defend them.

Once again ………. D.C.’s very own crack head has found himself “victim” of a law that everyone must obey but him. Maybe he was giving chase to her because she stole his last nugget or she took his glass bowl …… who knows? Or could it be that she ate his tax returns?

  5. pianogirl88 says:

If there is no party affiliation mentioned in the first sentence, that’s the clue that we are talking about a democrat in trouble, because if there is a big “R” after the name, it shows up in the headlines. Used to be a fun game of “guess that party” but we can’t even play that anymore.

  6. Chuckk says:

It’s sad that among large groups of Americans being black is more important than being honest, or competent, or intelligent, or capable.

  7. mathews says:

Barry said he was just chasing her because Barry forgot to pay (joke, though it’s likely)

  8. VMAN says:

Is there a black politician that hasn’t been investigated for corruption or some other violation of the law? Let me rephrase that. Is there a black liberal politician that hasn’t been investigated for corruption or some other violation of the law?
