I enjoyed both sides, but it appeared MCain flowed naturally, while Obama seemed to deliver tentivaly each joke and punch line. Dole was portrayed as an aging, old stogey guy and lost to Clinton. Within a month of losing, he did a brilliant SNL skit, Britney Spears Pepsi commercial (down boy...) and came out 5000% more likeable and genuine. If Joe the Plumber can help him - based on the everyday man appeal (unless you are a liberal shrill) - I believe it resonates into votes for true non decided voters and on the fence ideologues. Sometimes the human element trumps the "issue-based" element - of which I believe in today's society is moot, opposing the political strategists (Morris, Carvell, etc) who keep trying to hammer down "issues" ad nauseum.
