Media Irate At Miss CA’s ‘Topless’ Photo

From Tribune owned Los Angeles local CW TV affiliate KTLA:

Miss California Defends Topless Photos

May 5, 2009

SAN DIEGO — Miss California’s Christian faith is being scrutinized after topless photos of her surfaced on the Internet.

Carrie Prejean, 21, says the pictures were modeling shots taken when she was a teenager.

She says the photos were released "surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith."

In one photo posted on a gossip blog, Prejean is seen with her back toward the camera, wearing only pink panties.

Prejean was named first runner-up to Miss North Carolina in the Miss USA pageant April 19.

Her response to a question about legalizing same-sex marriage created a very publicized war of wills between Prejean and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

Prejean spoke out against gay marriage, citing her strong Christian faith and upbringing.

The newly surfaced photos are not sitting well with her conservative Christian supporters.

The ever watchful BillK posted this in Selected News. But we have given it its own thread as an example of how the media will go to any lengths to destroy any apostate from the liberal creed.

Note that the KTLA article does not reproduce the scandalous photograph on its page. But instead makes it sound much more explicit than it really is.

Indeed, anyone who has ever seen a modeling portfolio will recognize that photos such as this, or ones even more revealing, are a standard requirement – and have been for decades.

But in the eyes of our watchdog media this is somehow proof of the moral prig Ms. Prejean’s outrageous hypocrisy.

Proving once again it is not only liberals but apparently some conservatives who love the politics of personal destruction and never quite got that “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” bit.

    From Los Angeles’ KTLA Television:

    Miss California Defends Topless Photos

SAN DIEGO — Miss California’s Christian faith is being scrutinized after topless photos of her surfaced on the Internet.

Carrie Prejean, 21, says the pictures were modeling shots taken when she was a teenager…

Because of course should any Christian voice any opinion on any matter they will be investigated, scrutinized and destroyed.

Heck, these days we’d read the headline:

‘Christ’ seen in the company of prostitutes, conservatives disillusioned

    • Barbie says:

The other night on Fox, Kirsten Davis (the Democratic strategist) questioned whether Ms. Prejean was a Christian at all since she appeared in the competition in a two piece swim suit – not very modest, said Davis. WHAT? Christians can’t wear two pieces or bikinis? It’s amazing, the left are completely amoral/immoral and hate God and all who believe in GOd, yet they’re the first to utter what a Christian is or is not – and the first to condemn and judge. I guess Kirsten Davis and her ilk want to see Ms. Prejean in a burka.

    • Odie44 says:

      Barbie –

Kirsten is the biggest liberal hack out there – and looks miserable 24/7 to boot.
She stands for nothing except the “token counter claim” to anything bad about Obama and Dems or anything good about Reps. Even Colmes on guest spots has moments of clarity, post Bambi’s election.

I have no idea why Fox feeds that troll 3 times a week.

    • Barbie says:

What Davis said was shockingly ugly and ignorant. You, Odie44, are right – she’s a hack.

    • jeffgus says:

Liberals don’t understand the most basic premise of Christianity. That is, for a person be be a Christian the must understand they are not a good person. No one is perfect and morally righteous. The response to this criticism should be to say, “Yeah, I biffed up. I biffed up more than anyone knows, but Jesus still payed the penalty for my offense against Him. Now that is amazing grace!”

Christians don’t live morally to gain favor with anyone. We can’t gain favor. We live morally because we don’t like offending God.

    • preparing4theworst says:

Christ seen in the company of prostitutes…… or try this-Todays top story- Paul (aka Saul of Tarsus) a known Jewish convert to Christianity was jailed today on charges of inciting unrest at a local synagogue. Possible hate crime charges are pending. Local priest puzzled…”Was it something we did?” Unsubstantiated reports also hint at a record of questionable behavior.

  2. U NO HOO says:

I’ll start by saying, “Are we still talking about Ms Prejean?”

    • Steve says:

AFAIK, this is the first post about Ms. Prejean on the site.

    • U NO HOO says:

I wasn’t particularly referring to S&L but in general.

She has had her 15 minutes of fame.

    • Liberals Demise says:

I don’t know about U NO HOO but……….scoop me some of that scripture!!
MMMMMM…….MMMMMMMM……….Eye Candy for the H-E-T-R-O- Male!!
      (cough) ME!!

  3. proreason says:

They will be slamming her hair color next as an example of her inconsistency on the issues.

It would be interesting to see what Christian reaction is to this photo. The Sears catalogue has racier pictures than this one. I don’t think you could watch TV for more than 5 minutes without seeing more nudity, not to speak of hearing a drumbeat of glorificatiion of the queer “lifestyle”.

Also, notice how they save their greatest hatred for the most attractive people, be it physical beauty (Ms. Prejean and Sarah Palin), or intellectual capability (Rush, Newt). Another example of childish minds at work.

    • Steve says:

“It would be interesting to see what Christian reaction is to this photo.”

The article specifically said the photos “are not sitting well with Christians.” You don’t believe our media masters?

You want some kind of substantiation of their claim?

Are you some kind of rightwing extremist?

    • proreason says:

“Are you some kind of rightwing extremist?”

I had to hire bodyguards. Lots of people with bulging veins in their necks were knocking on my door.

Fortunately, my BIL Guildo’s collections business has been slow and his cheery team of phone “solicitors” is available.

He tried to use his connections to hook on with the obomistration, but he flunked the ethics test.

      He had one.

  4. The newly surfaced photos are not sitting well with her conservative Christian supporters.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I don’t find these photos offensive enough to stop supporting a woman who’s being smeared beyond belief in the media.

I echo the sentiments of Barbie above. These people have no use for Christian doctrine and most of them wouldn’t even know Christian doctrine if it bit them in the armpit. So who the heck are they to suddenly foist it on us when someone says something they don’t like?

Nice try, but no dice. I don’t for a second buy the notion that her “conservative Christian supporters” are angered in droves over this photo. In fact, weren’t we labeled as prudes when we objected to similar photos of Miley Cyrus (a minor) being splashed across magazine covers?

    • jrmcdonald says:

I wonder if there is a ‘Boy Kisser’ underground in the media. Why else these daily attacks on a Beauty Queen? I think Carrie Prejean, like Sarah Palin, drive the BK media crazy.

  5. BatK says:

I haven’t seen this much of a smear campaign since Sarah Palin… something about ATTRACTIVE, CHRISTIAN, women who aren’t afraid to speak the truth just gets those msm parasites into a tizzy

    • cmblake6 says:

Precisely. The beast fears the righteous. Nudity is not pornography. It is a celebration of creation! IF that’s how you look at it.

  6. Petronius says:

The first commandment of Liberalism is: Thou shalt have no enemies on the Left. A corollary of this rule is that the Liberal shall find his enemies on the Right. In fact, Liberalism needs enemies like an addict needs his fix. If there were no enemies on the Right, the Liberal would have to invent one. Nazis and fascists satisfied this need perfectly. Even today, 65 years after the end of WWII, we are still treated to a stream of movies, plays, television programs, and documentaries that allow Liberals to relish the defeat of those perfect enemies. Senator Joe McCarthy satisfied this Liberal craving for decades. But––for the younger generation of Liberals––Joe McCarthy is old hat. Consequently, a more suitable replacement had to be found. Bush and Cheney filled the role of Liberal enemy admirably for eight years, and they continue to do so to some degree, even after they are out of office. We are now witnessing the Liberals’ frantic search for new enemies on the Right––Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, Rush Limbaugh, AIG executives, and Carrie Prejean (Miss California) have all been targeted. The search continues.

    • BannedbytheTaliban says:

Orwell knew this, hence: “Two Minute Hate.”

    • DoctorRock says:

Your point is well taken, but you’re giving them way too much credit. I’d have a hard time believing that Perez Hilton knows what a corollary is. As they’re not equipped for rational discourse, their patent response is first to make a counter-argument (no matter how stupid – thank you Kirsten Davis), followed quickly by an emotional descent into name-calling, ostensibly so we’ll forget how stupid their counter-argument was. And there’s no search for enemies, as anyone in the spotlight who doesn’t kiss their ignorant asses becomes their target for today.

    • Petronius says:

Hey guys, appreciate your thoughts. Just for the record, I didn’t mean to imply that the enemies rule is a rational program. Because Liberalism is an ideology, it is non-rational by definition (which is also why it is pointless to debate them). The Liberal need for enemies on the Right is an attitude and pattern of Liberal behavior. But it is so deeply ingrained in the Liberal psyche that it has to be considered a hallmark of Liberalism, and not a random personal quirk. Take for example the almost total absence of Liberal feminist criticism for the mistreatment of females by the Taliban and jihadist Islam. And contrast that with their hatred for women on the right who speak their minds, such as Carrie Prejean or Sarah Palin. Another example: The Bama has no qualms about extending cordial treatment to the worst Leftist thugs on the planet––Hugo Chavez, the Castro brothers, Daniel Ortega––nor about associating personally with creeps like Bill Ayres, Bernardine Dohrn, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, Blago, and Louis Farrakhan. Yet he treats American businessmen with scorn and threats (not to mention his more or less open hatred for Bush and Cheney, GITMO personnel, the CIA, et al.). None of this moral asymmetry is rational. But it permeates and colors Liberalism through and through, to such a degree that it must be admitted that Liberals characteristically crave enemies on the Right whom they can hate and vilify. If these enemies weren’t there, Liberals would have to invent them. Like the Two Minute Hate.

  7. Squito says:

What bull. Maybe if she’d been a drug addict (like a certain president) as a teenager, they’d understand.

  8. “Miss California’s Christian faith is being scrutinized after topless photos of her surfaced on the Internet.”

Golly. That sounds rather intolerant & judgmental.

  9. wardmama4 says:

You know the question absolutely no one is asking? When did Ms Prejean dedicate her life to Christ?

I grew up in a church, I was confirmed as an older teenager – but believe me I did some pretty big sins for a number of years (still attending church quite often) as a young adult before I fell onto my knees and really admitted how far I had fallen and really repented.

If this picture was done before – well, golly gee whiz – once again those who don’t have a clue are beating a dead horse. Quite similar to the Gov Palin bashing re: Bristol. My goodness, if as a parent I could control my teen children – I’d not be where I am now – nor would probably 3 of my children. Yes, we’d love to believe that everything we say to our children, everything we do – convinces them and controls them – so that they lead the lives we do. But it doesn’t happen. I am no more at fault for my son’s decision than Gov Palin is for her daughter’s. It can be very hard and embarrassing to hold one belief and watch a child go in the opposite direction.

Sort of like the Liberals never mentioning that the poster child for prayer being taken out of school (William Murray) became a Christian and that Roe (from Roe V Wade, Norma McCorvey ) has become pro-life.

The Left is always eager to portray Christians and the Right as liars and hypocrites – while ignoring that their lies and hypocrisies have driven away two of their most famous ‘poster’ persons.

    • Wardmama, you make some good points. Nobody bothered to ask her when she truly accepted Christ as her savior or when she dedciated her life to him. I think we all have had some parts in our life where we weren’t living up to what we should have.

My wife put together her thoughts on hypocrisy and this is what she said:

“I think many people in the world ought to look up “hypocrite” before they go around using the word. I hear it so often misapplied to people who preach goodness, but aren’t always good. That is not a hypocrite. Nobody can always be good, even if they desire it. A hypocrite is somebody who pretends to be good, but isn’t. The crime in hypocrisy is in pretending, in deceiving; not in aspiring. ”

Pretending and deceiving sounds like a lot of politicians I know.

    • miketty says:

Keep in mind that in order to be a hypocrite, you need to have some standards. Someone who believes you can have sex at any time with anything, or swallow, inject and smoke whatever substance that has ever been created, cannot be described as a hypocrite. I am happy to be labeled a hypocrite, because it shows that at least I’m trying to hold a high standard, even if I fail from time to time, or even more often than not.

  10. Trogdor says:

All have sinned…and all have been hypocrites…although I’m not sure what Carrie did is a sin or not. I’m pretty sure that lying and taking drugs is a sin, and Dear Leader has those vices down. The first thing liberals try to do is find a hypocrisy and throw it out there to diminish their opponents, but their own hypocrisy is so much worse because they’ll never admit it. They need to take the log out of their eye before examining the speck in Carrie Prejean’s.

  11. bobbys says:

Strange the only time morals are exposed is when a Christan messes up, Till then anything goes. So when one dies and is Judged before God one must admit they know right from wrong if one is willing to call another a hypocrite.

  12. Barbie says:

Perez Hilton should have asked Ms. PreJean an entirely different question if he was emotionally unprepared and too immature to handle a dissenting opinion/viewpoint. He asked a question. She gave an answer. If you can’t handle the answer, don’t ask the question. Sheesh – what a bunch of angry, vindictive, emotionally unstable group of people to go after a woman who, having been asked, gracefully expressed an opinion.

  13. catie says:

Hmmh, well I don’t really consider that a “topless” photo. Of course the thing is to begin with the liberals have no standards so there isn’t anything there to make them “feel bad”. It’s not a big deal and it’s unfortunate that the libs and I guess some on the right are making a big deal out of this. As Steve said this is pretty “normal fare” for a model’s portfolio. If you think about it, you can see a lot more than this on old reruns of NYPD Blue. We all do things that perhaps at that time seemed like a great idea but in the end the idea wasn’t so great after all. I had some pictures done for an old Navy Pilot boyfriend I was engaged to. I wasn’t a teenager either. I had a heck of a time getting those back when I finally called it quits and I had much less on than she did.
Kristen Powers is a whiney little twit.

    • preparing4theworst says:

Topless??? That is pretty regular fare for the weekly JC Penney ads. Some of the TV ads are even worse, but where is the uproar? Deafening silence.

  14. woodmanthered says:

Boy this picture really makes me sick, unlike the one I get in my mind of Bill sitting back in the oval offices with his pants hanging down and Monica under the desk, or how about Barney and his guy friends laying around watching there favorite movies. I guess the liberals see things a little different than me.

  15. pdsand says:

I suppose her real sin is being one of the beautiful people and not devoting her “celebrity” to PETA or Greenpeace.

“Miss California’s Christian faith is being scrutinized after topless photos of her surfaced on the Internet.”

I highly doubt that anyone doing the “scrutinizing” is in the least qualified, as I would say her faith is between her and God. And of course it makes sense to me that liberals think a christian person could not take such a picture, in the course of their trying to be a model. Because to liberals, christians should not fit in to American life at all. At every turn a christian should be revolted at what liberals want “normal” to be, and at every turn their revolt should be rebuked by the “normal/inclusive”.
Y’all said the lady on Fox said a christian wouldn’t wear a two-piece? They really think that we’re as weird as they really are.

  16. 4USA says:

Until Christians start standing up to this kind of attack, it’s going to continue.

Christians, (Ms. Preejan?) need to accept their exposure and use it to profess that there was only one perfect human being ever to walk this earth. She should say, “I was wrong to do that. It was sin. I am a born-again sinner and failed. I’m thankful that Jesus died to provide forgiveness for my sins.”

Too often, so-called Christians try to rationalize or explain their sin as being “not that bad.” The hell-bound atheists are always going to do this kind of stuff. Conservative politicians get knocked out all the time with this tactic. So you messed up? So what? You’re never going to be perfect. It’s how you repent and try again that counts.

The hell-bound atheists are always finding fault because they don’t know what salvation by grace is all about to begin with.

    • preparing4theworst says:

I am not sure they even know what grace is or how it is supposed to act when another stumbles or falls.

  17. Enthalpy says:

Who are they to stand in judgement of this young woman? Ms. prejean isn’t perfect, just forgiven. What do her critics believe in and how long will we cede the debate initiative to them? It’s as if we continue to say to them, “please, stab us again.”

  18. U NO HOO says:

    Let me explain.

I am on the lady’s side.

The photo doesn’t seem particularly offensive or even sinful.

BUT, don’t we have something important to talk about?

We know that liberals are hypocrits.

    • proreason says:

It illustrates how vindictive the lunatic Left is and how they seem to injoy ruining lives, even of a young, beautiful, and religious woman.

The napalm line includes Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber, with attempts at Rush and Bobby Jindal.

By doing so, they issue threats that anybody who disagrees with them will be subjected to the crudest and cruelest kind of attacks imaginable from them and their media allies. The message is clear…they have no morals or limits.

And in comparison, they hold up as heroines Sebellius the mad aborter, Janet Napolitano, the clownette who calls veterens terrorists, the cretins Rosie O’Swinedell, and the creepy hollywood person who called the Tea Party attendees pure recists.

That’s why it’s important and interesting.

    • canary says:

U NO HO, maybe you just find it depressing like I do. The photo’s are taken out of context. I think the real damage by liberals is their pushing of pornography, television, movies, and sex, filthy b****s like Perez Hilton, that our children and teens are getting the wrong message. Movies kids watch now, body image pressure on children, instead of values. They are growing up too fast.

  19. GL0120 says:

Barney Frank’s boyfriend ran a prostitution service and not a single liberal cared.
His lover ran Fannie Mae into the dirt while Frank insisted all was well; no outrage heard.
Hastings wants to legitimize every perversion under the sun (and a few more) but there’s not a peep from the libs.
They gleefully compared the Tea Parties to disgusting acts of gay sex but that was okay.
Let one model pose semi-topless (not enough showing to interest their hero Larry Flynt) and the libs go ballistic!
    What could have been different?
Just the models religious beliefs which scare the hell out of liberals!
Imagine, someone having the nerve to define standards by which people should live; who do these Christians think they are, liberals?

    • cmblake6 says:

Excellent rant! I approve. I’ve already said my bit lower down the page. Nudity is not a sin, unless you are unable to divide the lust of base humanity from the joy of being how God made you to be.

  20. BillK says:

    It’s getting even more over-the-top.

    From a delighted AP:

Could Anti-Gay-Marriage Ad, Racy Photos Cost Miss California Her Crown?

The directors of the Miss California USA pageant are looking into whether title holder Carrie Prejean violated her contract by working with a national group opposed to gay marriage and by posing semi-clad when she was a teenage model.

Pageant spokesman Roger Neal said Tuesday it appears the 21-year-old Prejean has run afoul of several sections of the 12-page contract that prospective contestants were required to sign before competing in the state contest.

The contract contains a clause asking participants whether they have conducted themselves “in accordance with the highest ethical and moral standards” and if they’ve ever been photographed nude or partially nude.

Prejean spokeswoman Melany Ethridge said she couldn’t comment on the contract because she’s unfamiliar with its contents. …

Note the California pageant directors are the same ones who have gone on record as saying that religion has “no place” in the pageant.

I suspect they’ll use this flimsy excuse to strip her of her crown, figuring that will finally shut her up.

It’s also amazing that the photo above is considered “partially clad”; I guess no one’s seen a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in the past several years.

Meanwhile elsewhere on the Fox News site, there’s an editorial by John Tantillo of the “Marketing Department of America” who states that she should quit or be fired:

Miss California USA Should Quit or Be Fired

    By John Tantillo

It’s time for Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, to turn in her crown or get fired.

I might get some heat for this statement, since Miss Prejean has garnered quite a bit of sympathy from one side of the political/social spectrum. But I mean no personal insult and the marketing point here is simply too important for me to pass it up.

Let me start by saying that Miss Prejean deserved to lose the Miss USA contest.

Not because of her pro-marriage views, but because choosing to air those views showed that she was not Miss USA material – her brand characteristics simply did not match the job description.

It wasn’t that she spoke her mind or answered honestly and this was wrong. Right and wrong have nothing to do with it.

It was the way she said what she said that disqualified her from consideration for the Miss USA crown.

Forget the uncalled for nastiness of Perez Hilton’s blog rant after the fact, what I’m talking about are the two core brand features of the Miss USA brand.

No, not swimsuits and evening gowns, but diplomacy and leadership.

A Miss USA represents an organization and an ideal and as such any candidate for the job needs to be both a diplomat and a leader.

A diplomat considers the feelings and worldviews of those around him or her. A leader must do the same and also demonstrate that she is prepared to include, not exclude, no matter what surprising and uncomfortable public speaking situations she might find herself in as she performs her Miss USA work.

I think that’s enough and pretty clearly represents Mr. Tantillo’s political views.

I somehow don’t believe Mr. Tantillo would be making the same statement had she said she supported gay marriage – any hurt feelings at that answer would have been dismissed as the ravings of right wing religious nutcases who shouldn’t even be listened to.

    • Icarus says:

Let them take her crown away… they can stick it down their tea-bagging** throats and choke on it.

She’ll have a superior and everlasting crown to look forward to!

** Thanks AC360, I didn’t know about this euphemism (thank God – allthough it’s still revolting) until you educated us in an area that only a tea-bagger like yourself would be familiar with!
My “thank you “is exclusively for the lefty P-C bullets you’ve now provided us with.
You see… we are now all free and clear to call any of you lefties… tea-baggers!

    • wardmama4 says:

A diplomat considers the feelings and worldviews of those around him or her. A leader must do the same and also demonstrate that she is prepared to include, not exclude, no matter what surprising and uncomfortable public speaking situations she might find herself in as she performs her Miss USA work

-considers the feelings- correct me if I am wrong – then that means a diplomat would probably be confined to Hello, Please, Thank You, Excuse Me and Goodbye in any and all public conversations. And is Mr. Tantillo considering Ms Prejean’s feelings at all?

      – and worldviews of those around him or her – Ah Mr. Tantillo is exposing just how little he knows about the worldview as in a real poll of worldview would find religion, belief in God, and a negative view of homosexuality a lot higher on different sides than Mr. Tantillo would or could ever imagine. I’d hate to be so pompous, so arrogant, so shallow and so vapid that I thought my position on a social deviance was the worldview at all – so while I do believe that a poll of the whole World would find that religion, belief in God, and a negative view of homosexuality is greater (and thus the real worldview), I will be honest and simply qualify it as my opinion rather than Mr. Tantillo’s implication that his view is the ‘worldview’.
-‘she is prepared to include, not exclude’- dare I point out that wonderful diplomat that he is Mr. Tantillo is not including but precisely (and by using she, personally) excluding and not taking Ms Prejean’s beliefs and/or opinions into consideration at all?
-‘performs her Miss USA work’ – first did not Ms Prejean lose because of this kerfuffle? Which makes his entire ‘editorial’ moot and second (not to impune the Miss USA) but ‘work’ – my gut says that mostly the ‘work’ is pr. How important is that (and it is just for a year after all).

    • Odie44 says:

I smell a 1st Amendment violation lawsuit in the works. The depths to which liberals will sink to “make a claim” is not only vicious, but highly illegal.

Imagine you fired someone for “their open Muslim beliefs” and then filled in the double speak of contractual nonsense.

Also – the pageant was well aware that she has posed for over 6 different magazines before her crown was awarded in California.

And to claim she is “nude” is also a flat out lie. As many posters have noted – these pictures are found in every major magazine out there – and even were taken by the “great liberal/feminist photographer Liebowitz” of a minor Mylie Cyrus…

    • Gila Monster says:

“It wasn’t that she spoke her mind or answered honestly and this was wrong. Right and wrong have nothing to do with it.”

Excuse me but, …wha-what??? It’s wrong but it’s NOT about right or wrong?
Tantillo has unwittingly provided us all with valuable insight as to the vacuousness that exists in the liberal mind.
I needed a good laugh this morning.

    • pdsand says:

Yeah that was a really convoluted thought. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it, but in the interest of my own sanity I think I’ll give it a rest.

    • pdsand says:

So I read his full blog post, and apparently she’s at fault because Californians are not unanimously against gay marriage. I got little chuckle out of that. I suppose if Californians were unanimous against gay marriage, the problem would be that gays in other states would think it’s hateful, and therefor also create a “brand” problem.

    • Odie44 says:

Here is his portfolio… notice anything? He is a cut and paste traditional direct marketing hack who claims to be a “brand and marketing expert”… pleeeeeeeease.

I work in the industry and can attest to 2 things:
      1) every moron claims to be a brand expert,
      2) Anyone who calls themselves an “expert” in their field is not an expert

His hubris and ignorance is hysterical – being he viloates rule #1 of any agency – “it’s never about you” , so stop posting Quicktime videos of your thoughts, and stop giving your blatant political issues as “marketing advice” especially when your an idiot for the world to hear and see.

I am putting in calls to his clients and asking them if they stand by his claims. Stay tuned.

  21. Colonel1961 says:

As a Christian, and after careful examination of the photo in question, I am not offended.

If there are any other ‘racy’ photos of Miss California that the liberal media need to leak to determine their offensiveness amongst Christians, I’ll be available.

    Pro bono…

  22. Lurkin_no_mo says:

So, an attracive, bright, young woman who wants to be a model takes some modeling pictures that show her to be topless gets creamed for it in the MSM because she espouses Christian values…. vs. a man (?) who fornicates with other men….
Yea, that’s same terrible sin (Sarc).

  23. LewWaters says:

I hardly call that “Topless,” unless a bare back offends someone.

Sorry, I’ve seen more skin shown in every day magazines.

Just another communist ploy to destroy anyone who disagrees with their view.

  24. Liberals Make Great Speedbumps says:

She had to have known these photos would surface, the lib scum***s are out for blood. Nice picture regardless.

  25. Icarus says:

I being a Christian would not allow my daughter to pursue any career that clearly digressed from God’s standard. Be it in modeling, music, acting… whatever! I don’t know this woman… but be them modelling pictures or not; we all know that Christians are going to be held to a higher standard. And I don’t have any problems with that. Maybe now she’ll learn (probably already has) that talking the talk and walking the walk are two totally different things. It’s a 24/7 commitment that we all fail at.

Having said that; this incident does not in any way falsify her statement at the pageant. In the end, if the Medias’ perceived – although meandering – hypocrisy really exists, it only tarnishes the speaker not what was spoken. It is far better to hear truth from a hypocrite than lies from the depraved, who deceive many into believing that darkness is now light.

I wish her well. The past is the past.
…And the spoken truth is no less true… regardless of who utters it.

What is Gods will? That we do the best we can for him. Why do these people freak so hard? Because they cannot divide the rejoicing of creation vs the basest lust of mankind. It is what is in your heart that matters.

The outrage over Miss California’s picture in light of her profession of faith was about what I expected from the left. For what it’s worth, the young woman definitely has an attractive figure.

  27. proreason says:

Underneath it all, the “outrage” is really at themselves.

They just can’t accept being perverts, and so must act out in to pretend that they are like normal people.

    • MinnesotaRush says:

Right on, PR! I’d add JEALOUS, too!

I mean, gosh, Bronx federal appeals Judge Sonia Sotomayor or this cutie(???).

      I’m going with Caleee-for-knee-a!

  28. Reality Bytes says:

Yeah but snortin’ coke on camera while your Dad’s VP is a matter of privacy right?

  29. U NO HOO says:

This is all Donald Trump’s doing for publicity.

Wasn’t there a similar “problem” with a recent Miss USA that the Donald had to straighten out?

Seems that I remember two or three women being caught nude or dirty talking or being anti-something at about the same time. Or am I thinking of John “Honest, it is my own hair” Edwards’ baby?

I can’t keep up. Sarah Palin is her own daughter and niece, etc.

    • Liberals Make Great Speedbumps says:

I don’t think it’s Trump but I’m sure he’ll milk it for all it’s worth as usual. There are people who are pissed and want to destroy Ms. Prejean by any means possible. The other case, Miss Kentucky (Tara Connor) was seen drinking underage, tested positive for coke and supposedly doing inappropriate things with Miss Teen USA.

  30. proreason says:

Still another reason not to support “gay marriage”.

Human behaviour is nearly infinite in its complexity. There are people who puke at the thought of homosexual behaviours, and there are people who puke at the thought of heterosexual behaviours. The vast majority of people are committed heterosexuals, and a few percent are committed homosexuals. But since sexual behaviours are nearly infinite, there are a lot of people who can engage in both kinds of behavior, and essentially choose which way to go. It’s not a large percentage, but it’s probably more people than are hard-core homosexuals. Most of that group in the middle live as heterosexuals and you will never know that they could have gone the other way

But the queers want you to believe it’s a switch, don’t they? Either you are gay or you are straight. No choice, no thought, hard-wired from the moment of conception.

And why do you think that is? Several reasons. The most important is self-justification. They want to forgive themselves for it. But they also like the idea of an expanded “partner pool”, and don’t want to be resticted for mining that pool.

Now, think about your kids and their kids, and theirs. A few of them could fall into that middle ground. They can choose live lives of quiet or angry desperation by going to the queer side, or they can have a better chance for happiness by going to the heterosexual side.

Do you have a preference for your family members?

If you do, you might consider whether or not “gay marriage” is a factor that might convince somebody that being gay is perfectly normal and ok, with no downside consequences.

You know what I have really enjoyed in reading the comments here? The amount of red blooded American male appreciation for a beautiful body showing up in this thread! LOL (Not that I find that surprising ;-D )

I’m a devout Christian, and while I wouldn’t suggest she pose for these photos, she is not exposing as much as I have seen on any beach.

Even with the photo she looks like the “girl next door”. A little teasing, but decent.

Compare her with the behavior of…oh say…the Gay’s and Lesbos. Compared them she is wholesome. Think about what you could scrape up on them! Of course THAT would be just fine. Protected in fact. If you disagree with THEIR behavior, you are quilty of a hate thought crime. Why shouldn’t they be quilty of the same here? (retrorical)

She preforms in a completely hetrosexual way and she gets trashed…ONLY because of her beliefs in Christ. If she didn’t have strong faith not one dang thing would have been said.

If this is the worst she does, she will be fine.

I wish more people had the courage to stand by their beliefs in Christ. I’m in her corner.

  32. cmblake6 says:

As I have said elsewhere about this. We come into this world naked, if you will, we were created naked. Carrie is a Christian, and not ashamed of her creation. Must one automatically be a prude if one is a Christian? God created us that way, and boy was He upset when we were ashamed of His creation. I think Carrie did a good thing, and I wish she would espouse (which she pretty much has, but needs to be even louder) that fact. Naked beauty and toxic lust are two entirely different creatures. One is rejoicing in creation, the other merely base savagery.

    • Icarus says:

Of course we come into this world naked… it would be very strange to see a fully clothed babe come forth!

Gen 3:21 “The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them
Why do you suppsoe he did this?

As far as i know (understand and feel) we are to rejoice in the creator not creation.

If you mean that Carrie did a good thing by her statemnt on marriage you are right!
and of course; we shouldn’t be ashamed of God”s creations.

  33. yadayada says:

“The newly surfaced photos are not sitting well with her conservative Christian supporters.”

perhaps they could provide a few names to bolster their claim. I surfed a few blogs and news outlets and could not find one remark from an easily recognized known christian who is turning their back on her. I’m a christian, I supported her comments and right to express her beliefs in the pageant. I don’t find that photo offensive.

there are racier bubble bath commercials on tv.
