If you only read our mainstream media you would certainly think that Code Pink’s Jodie Evans is just another soccer mom caught up in the heady world of grassroots politics.
For whenever Ms. Evans is mentioned by our watchdog media we are never told a word about her background.
Like Alzheimer sufferers, our truth-seeking journalists treat Ms. Evans like a brand new person with a blank slate each time she appears in the news.

Thursday, June 21, 2007; A03…Activists from Code Pink, an antiwar group whose members often wear pink uniforms, waved signs that said “Lead Us Out of Iraq” and shouted the same message at Clinton as she spoke. “I love coming here,” she said with a laugh, adding: “I see the signs, ‘Get us out of Iraq.’ That is what we are trying to do.”
Jodie Evans, one of the founders of Code Pink, said Clinton should do more to stop Congress from funding the war and should apologize for voting to authorize it. The group booed loudest when Clinton criticized the Iraqi government because it was like “blaming the victim,” Evans said…
Indeed, it’s even unusual the reporter bothered to note her Code Pink involvement. But The Post has been promoting Code Pink heavily of late.
Still, to describe Ms. Evans merely as a co-founder of Code Pink hardly does her justice. For she is a longtime professional America-hater, who has used her ex-husband’s billions to promote her radical causes.

Jodie Evans
Jodie Evans is a radical activist and Democratic fundraiser best known as the co-founder (along with Diane Wilson, a Wiccan calling herself Starhawk, and Global Exchange’s Medea Benjamin) of Code Pink for Peace. Evans also works closely with Leslie Cagan, the pro-Castro leader of United For Peace and Justice.
From 1973 to 1982, Evans worked in administrative capacities in the political campaigns of Jerry Brown, who during those years served as California’s Secretary of State and then Governor. She also held a cabinet post as Governor Brown’s Director of Administration.
Evans… founded the Grief Recovery Center after the death of her daughter. During this period, she held various positions with the Women’s Campaign Fund, the Women’s Political Committee, and the Hollywood Women’s Political Committee. She also worked as a fundraiser for out-of-state female candidates for federal offices, and for the pro-abortion organizations CARAL (the California subsidiary of NARAL Pro-Choice America) and Voters for Choice…
In 1990 Evans partnered with Tom Hayden and Cathryn Tiddens to open an environmental department store, Terra Verde, in Santa Monica, California.
In 1991 Evans ran Jerry Brown’s presidential campaign. She also produced the radio program We the People with Jerry Brown, a daily leftwing talk show. From 1994 to 1998, she produced the documentary film Stripped and Teased: Tales of Las Vegas Women…
Over the years, Evans has supported such activist groups as Citizen Action, Neighbor to Neighbor, the Earth Island Institute, the Interfaith Task Force on Central America, the International Overseas Education Fund, and the Los Angeles Women’s Foundation.
Evans is currently a Board of Directors member for the Rainforest Action Network.

According to the FBI, during the past seven years those two groups have been responsible for more than 600 criminal acts and $43 million in damages…
In addition to her Code Pink duties, Jodie Evans also sits on the advisory board of the International Occupation Watch (IOW) center in Iraq, which Code Pink helped establish. The organizers of Occupation Watch — Medea Benjamin and Leslie Cagan — explicitly declared their purpose in setting up headquarters in Baghdad was [to] thin U.S. forces by getting soldiers to declare themselves conscientious objectors.
As a far leftist, Evans has found a comfortable political home in the Democratic Party. Indeed she was a key fundraiser for her longtime friend and political ally, former California governor Gray Davis. Evans’ ex-husband, Westside financier Max Palevsky, actually appointed Davis to his first political job as the fundraiser for Tom Bradley’s 1973 Los Angeles mayoral campaign…
In the weeks preceding the recent California governor’s recall election, Evans was instrumental in convincing several women to come forward and tell the L.A. Times their allegations against Arnold Schwarzenegger. Moreover, she helped organize picketing sessions in front of Schwarzenegger’s campaign headquarters…
Amazingly even the stalwart John Perazzo only mentions in passing a salient piece of the Jodie Evans puzzle.
Ms. Evans is a very rich and powerful woman, thanks largely to her divorce settlement from the billionaire capitalist Max Palevsky in "common property" California.

Max Palevsky (born 1924 in Illinois) is an American art collector, venture capitalist, philanthropist, and computer technology pioneer. He served in the US Army as a meteorological officer during World War II. Palevsky first worked on a computer project at Bendix, and went on to work at Packard Bell. He convinced the company that they should enter the computer business and helped develop the PB-250 at Packard Bell, which was modestly successful. After raising around $1 million in venture capital, he left Packard Bell to found Scientific Data Systems of California in 1961. That’s right. Mr. Palevsky scored close to a billion (with a "b") dollars in 1969. Since then he went on to finance some other corporate ventures such as Intel.
So, yes, the ex-Mrs. Palevsky can easily afford to be a radical socialist. And perhaps this even helps explain the rabid anti-Semitism of Code Pink and Ms. Evans’ other ventures. (Mr. Palevsky seems to be a pro-Israel Jew.)
In any case it is clear she can hire any number of minions to do her bidding. Including of course Cindy Sheehan, who Code Pink has been "sponsoring" now for nearly two years.
Which is a little ironic, given Cindy’s newest pronouncement in her latest screed:

My medical bills will be paid off, and, because of Bree’s generosity, I have a financial cushion to help me on to the next phase: helping humans who have been hurt by US corporate imperialism. Perhaps Cindy will lead the way by returning the money she has received from those "corporate imperialists" like Intel.
She can start by not showing up for the 50th birthday bash that Jodie Evans is throwing for her.

Note too that like Cindy Sheehan and her partner at Gold Star Mothers For Peace Nadia McCaffrey Jodie Evans seems to be consumed with grief over the loss of a child.
As noted above, Evans also founded the Grief Recovery Center after the death of her daughter. (Which apparently struck her so deeply she went right out and raised money for California’s NARAL subsidiary.)
Still, this connection caused her to be especially attracted to Mother Sheehan, as she proudly proclaimed in the early days of Cindy-mania at the Huffington Post:
But the pattern seems to extend further than that. With the death of a loved one they have become fulltime America-hating death-obsessed communists.
And seeming lesbians.

I have an organization I want to start. Please donate. While I am not a 501(c)3 yet, I am sure the state of Texas will not mind my promoting myself as one. And while I would be happy to accept pesos, I am sorry I cannot do so at this time (the exchange rate just sucks). But I will be setting up a PayPal account so that you can give me your hard earned money and I can go to the Bahamas and try to convince their government that my way is the best way.
I have decided, after long and hard mental deliberations, to call my [group] SMACH (pronounced smack) or Saving My Ass from Communist Harlots.

Why is it that most liberal America haters are rich? Is it somehow connected to the fact that they used up countless workers and their families to get rich, and they somehow are now feeling guilty? Uh, no. They are bitter. simply put…bitter, and bored. Wealth brings with it that sense of entitlement that people like this smarmy douchebag push on the rest of us. She is rich because of capitalism….she is a douchebag because of a miserably poor upbringing, a lack of social inclusion, and an extreme case of self loathing.
Back in the old days, people like this were easy to ignore because they were regulated to cocktail parties and the drama of social life. Nowdays, people like Smarmydouche here have the internet, and incredibly ignorant people to pander to…..using stumps like the snag as a vehicle for what seems to be an incredible lack of understanding people.
Code pink sucks. The organization sucks. The people in it suck. code pink would not survive for more than a week in the world they are demanding we live in….anarchy is wonderful in this one respect. I can find you, and eliminate you because you pissed me off. Cant do that now, which makes me wonder why these folks openly support a way of life that will eliminate them from society, and violently too.
Shows you that money cannot buy brains. Or logic. But lots of pink clothing….yeah, go ahead on wit choo bad sef pink woman. what a lunatic.

After reading this I just can’t decide if these people are insane or just plain butt stupid. They get money from a divorce from a successful capitalist (JE), born a Jewish girl, also another capitalistic family money source (MB), lawsuits (MM), insurance (CS) - which are all forms of and successful parts of a capitalistic society to go out and bash (violently, with lies, distortions, and extreme hate) that self same capitalistic society, while 1) ignoring the violence, environment damage, murder, intimidation and mayhem done by the ‘victims’ they claim that these self-same capitalistic societies are not helping, 2) while also using their ‘forums’, ’causes’ and ‘fronts’ to garner more of the filthy lucre they are decrying in what can only be seen as a form of capitalistic success to bring down the one society in the World that not only allows them to spew their vile lies and distortions but does not jail them, fine them, deport them (Father Fidel’s paradise of Cuba did that to MB), silence them or kill them (which Saddam’s regime would have done). . .
Personally I think that it is insanity - as a lot of the ‘crap’ that they are heaping on the Bush Administration - happened under every single administration since America began. . .
That is what freedom is about, some crap happens but in the long run - the good, beneficial and productive are at the forefront. Or at least in America have been in the forefront.
However, I think that these lying, distorting and insane loud mouths are appearing to be wresting control from the real, good Americans.
And they keep on keeping on with their insane, pointless rantings. And the money keeps rolling in. It is scary to a rational person like me.

Are you all blind to the hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars the Bush administration, congress and the contractors within Iraq have thrown towards this occupation?
There is no hate within the CODEPINK world. I understand all of you seem to have a very negative and bleak perspective of liberals and/or radical leftist activists, but in reality, we are not in any way a bunch of american-hating lesbians! In fact, we have many male supporters and activists that understand that our mission and goal is to spread the word of peace, truth and justice for all.
Though sometimes, admittedly, our tactics are misunderstood and our motives misrepresented, there is no “sugar mommying” happening from Jodie Evans or anyone else. She is just a very strong-willed, intelligent woman, who has an incredible vision for the betterment of communities and societies around the world. Regardless of any personal wealth that is apparent, CODEPINK as a non-profit is still a legitimate and effective organization of peaceful women and men around the world.
