Interesting observations from somebody who has lived in the belly of the beast.

In many ways, for decades, we had a pre-9/11 mentality when it came to the Marxists slithering into power in our country.

We didn’t know we were in a war with them. But they knew, just as the jihadists knew they were in a war with freedom.

We were pushing our baby carriages, driving our cars, enjoying our families. They were plotting night and day to overthrow everything we have thought was good.

We thought of it as TV. They saw a propaganda weapon more powerful than a nuclear bomb.

We saw college as a means to get a job and learn some stuff about the world. They saw it as indoctination centers.

We saw a world with different races learning how to live together in harmony. They saw people easy to manipulate and pump full of hatred.

We saw a country eager to share our blessings with the world. They saw an opportunity to paint us as greedy speculators bent on imposing poverty everywhere.

We saw brave brave countrymen willing to sacrifice everything to keep us free. They saw that they could portray those heroes as killers and sadists.

We were blind.

But it isn’t over. If hatred is what they wanted, now they have it. And we are the people who built the Trade Center before they tore it down. We built GM before they destroyed it. We created Citibank before they undermined it. And they haven’t captured the military. And they haven’t captured huge swaths of the country. We are here, we know who they are, and we are angrier than their fey selves can ever imagine.

There is no revenge that can compare to the revenge of the righteous.

Really, the Three Stooges couldn’t make this crap and tirade up.

They are now long-gone, and their spawn of course deny their roots, but the tactics they use were put in place at that time; and the strategies they put in place at that time, and the goals they put in place at that time are embodied and enacted by Obama and Soros. At the heart of it, the movement is designed to eliminate freedom. Freedom enables people to resist the Central State, and an all-powerful Central State is the ultimate goal. Because only through an all-powerful Central State can a handful of people dominate hundreds of millions and dictate what they can do, while living in aristocratic splendor themselves, with no chance of being overthrown.

The Soviets achieved many elements of success, but were defeated by capitalism’s vastly superior economic capabilities. The Chinese have chosen to try to control capitalism and that strategy has proven to be much more successful.

And now, our masters attempt to achieve the Chinese model from the opposite end of the spectrum, by controlling capitalism, one step at a time. Because capitalism is the most important element of freedom. Each step eliminates an ability for you to make an economic choice Each step transfers power to the central government. Each step reduces your ability to resist. Each step reduces the freedom of your life. Each step reduces your wealth.

And it is not entirely obvious what is happening, because it is easy to proclaim that each restriction is by itself necessary and good. Social Security has indeed been a good thing for the country. Other government interventions, like the interstate highways, the space program, and some controls over private enterprise have been beneficial. So they argue with the full power granted by our trillions of dollars that capitalism is evil. Yet, we know that private enterprise is the only economic system with ability to adapt to untold future problems, and that central planning has FAILED thousands of times in thousands of venues. Yet, we march on toward despotism.

The reason that health care will be the final blow is that virtually every aspect of life can be controlled once the Central Planners have their death grip on health care. What you eat, the air you breathe, anything that affects the environment or your mental stare, the trasportation systems you use, and more…… all of them can be shown to impact your health and therefore be deserving of control by the iron fist of your betters.

And the Commissars are gleefully looking forward to wielding their powerful new weapon of propagandizing your very longevity. We must do this for you, they will tell you, or you will die sooner than you otherwise would. Not because we killed you, but because you chose to kill yourself by refusing to comply with our wisdom.
