Michelle Obama Comic Book In The Works

From a worshipful Chicago Tribune:

Michelle Obama comic book to be released in April

By Stacy St. Clair | Tribune staff reporter

She’s not faster than a speeding bullet or more powerful than a locomotive.

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound? Hardly.

But First Lady Michelle Obama is poised to become a superhero next month when a biographical comic book hits the stands.

Chronicling Obama’s path from South Side schoolgirl to White House occupant, the comic is part of the "Female Force" series showcasing powerful female leaders. Issues featuring Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sold out immediately upon their release this week.

While the Clinton and Palin comics are already on their second printings, their publisher believes Obama will be an even bigger seller. Distributors have stopped taking orders temporarily while Washington-based Bluewater Productions catches up with the demand…

The Obama comic, which will be officially released April 25 and will sell for $3.99, shows the first lady growing up in her middle-class South Shore home, attending Princeton and helping her husband become president. In keeping with the upbeat tone of the "Female Force" series, the Obama edition does not mention any controversial speeches or fist bumps.

Obama does not possess any superpowers in the comic, but the cover depicts her in a sleeveless top that highlights the most famous arms in Washington…

"We wanted to be respectful to all the women in the series," Davis said. "They’ve really done amazing things in their lives."

Exactly what amazing things has Mrs. Obama ever done in her life?

She was born to a Chicago machine ward healer who got a very nice salary to look at a water pump all day.

She was by her own admission an affirmative action placement at Princeton and Harvard Law.

And, apart from her work for the Daley machine, her wildly lucrative jobs in “community outreach” have all been thinly disguised kickbacks for her state Senator husband’s very generous earmarks.

(Indeed, Mrs. Obama’s job at the University of Chicago Hospital was so vital they did away with the position after she left it.)

In truth, Michelle’s “accomplishments” are even fewer than her superhero husband’s.

And that is going some.

In fact, note that of the three women featured in this series thus far, Governor Palin is the only one who has accomplished anything on her own.

No wonder the ‘feminists’ hate her so.

What’s black and white and red all over?
Barry Obama and his socialist dream!!
Mitchele Obama is a joke as a human and doesn’t deserve to be printed on toilet paper. She came here to Ft. Bragg last week under the pretense of caring for the soldiers. She was suppose to meet up with soldiers wifes and listen to some of their problems they deal with everyday while their husbands are off doing what they (Obamas) shudder to do. All she did was mug for the cameras kissed and hugged a few higher ups and read a book to a
Special” childrens class. What about the wifes’ Mitchele? She did to them what her hubby does to the Armed Forces of America.
Move over Hildabeast……. the Silverback has taken your place as the MOST LOATHED biatch in America.
BTW…..it looks like they had no problem drawing the monkeys wife for a comic book!!

“Planet of the Apes” comes to mind.

    • canary says:

The military family meeting was a Michelloho cover-up, while Obamaho said to cut benefits Veterans service injuries off. Slick and speed is the word. Everyone was doing the Madoff thing. The Obamboozlers are very calculated and speedy.

    • canary says:

Maybe Micheloh’s new 1st Lady project where she said to “lighten the soldiers load” while her husband is trying to strip VA benifits from the one’s getting their bodies blown up, is not just as decoy, but so she can spy on them, and figure best way to not meet their needs. She must hate that VA benifits, and even Tri-Care is something she and her husband don’t quailfy for. Guess, following in Laura Bushes steps liberating middle-eastern women is beneath Micheloh. Her sleevless dresses would not be appropiate.

“In truth, Michelle’s “accomplishments” are even less than her superhero husband’s.”

But she is a super-hero to black racists and everybody with a grudge against America….which is pretty much the liberal base.

Her logo should be a scowl and an accusatory finger jab with a city going up in flames behind her.

    • TwilightZoned says:

Pro, you got that right! I hope they correctly portray her big ugly a$$. (Big & ugly in more ways than one.)

  4. Confucius says:

“Obama does not possess any superpowers in the comic . . . .”

Tut, tut. She has black-power and girl-power.

    Wonder Twin-Powers Activate!

  5. Rusty Shackleford says:

Well, there are just too many things about this NOT to laugh about.

Super-Twit is “about to become” a comic book character? I’m not sure which is funnier: The fact that he cannot recognize that he’s ALREADY a comic book character, or the obvious attempt at “image improvement” that will take him to that place where pre-teen kids and 30+ year old losers who live in their mother’s basements go….

These people are beyond any words in the English language to explain. If it was Hollywood, I might MAYBE could understand.

  6. polemos says:

This will not go to someone’s head….

  7. sheehanjihad says:

Superbama~! Faster than the porkulus package’s passage!! More powerful than the truth~! Able to destroy an entire economy in a single move! Look! Down in the trough! It’s a congressman! It’s a senator!! NO, it’s SUPERDEBT!

They dont have to print any new comic books. Just read the stimulus bill…that is the most comical lie of all, and just as imaginary. Michelle…super what? Good God.

  8. Barbie says:

Super ObamaMama! Able to dump poor, uninsured, undesirable sick people from the University of Chicago Hospital with her lightening-fast signature…

(and never be condemned for it, either)

    • Colonel1961 says:

She was an community outreach coordinator – or some other made-up, half-ass job. Sheesh.

    • canary says:

Barbie thanks.!!!!! It’s all about power, money, and greed.

Michele didn’t use her companies enormous tax breaks, instead sent poor African American sick people to the poor clinics. After all her husbands b.s. And don’t forget, his universal health care will all be in place by the end of his first term promise. He sends 30,000 troops to fight his war, and steals behind their backs. I’ll bet people would donate a fortune to see Obama put on a uniform and serve 6 weeks hands on battle searching for Obama b.l.

  9. BigOil says:

You have to hand it to the illustrator – it takes quite an imagination to disregard the perma-scowl and draw a full set of teeth.

Note how they settled on an upper body pose. A full body pictorial would require turning her gaze to the right and utilizing the back cover.

    • Confucius says:

      You’re right!

The cartoon character doesn’t look anything like the real Michelle. The hair isn’t big enough, head small enough, face etched enough and breasts small (or low) enough.

  10. U NO HOO says:

    From wikipedia:

“During her husband’s presidency, Jacqueline Kennedy became a symbol of fashion for women all over the world. She set the style for the early sixties with her clean suits, SLEEVELESS A-line dresses and the pillbox hat that she often wore.”

  11. pinandpuller says:

Come on now people-having two black kids in wedlock is noteworthy-didn’t BO say something to that effect?

And speaking of comics I happened to glance at Doonsbury for some reason and the storyline was referring to Prescott Bush. For crying out loud-did Gary Trudeau catch that Benjamin Button thing or what?

  12. VMAN says:

What an insult to Sarah Palin to be included in a series with Michelle Ma Belle and the Hildabeast. All I can say is that for the first time in my adult life I am ashamed to be an American.

  13. canary says:

Obama should take a copy to Gautemala Prison if he every visits his buddy Castro. I saw a documentary where the guards said they have to even be careful what they let the moderate muslims watch on daily tv; a commercial of a woman brushing her teeth “with uncovered arms” set off a riot.
Obama should take Holden with him, since he will be the judge. They can share memories of Holden and Castro forcing that little boy by gun from his home, without a court order, while Holden denied it was gun or happened.

  14. The Redneck says:

while Washington-based Bluewater Productions catches up with the demand…

The company that’s making the Michelle Obama comic book is named after what you find in the bottom of a porta-potty.

    Tell me THAT ain’t appropriate…..

  15. Lipstick on a PIAPS says:

Why do the Obamas need comic strips? Just Read the Drudgreport everyday for Comic relief!

  16. Professor_Repulso says:

Perhaps it might be in the same vein as this: http://www.oddballcomics.com/article.php?story=2007-02-26
Either history in the making or history repeating itself.
