Minister Says Gaddafi Ordered Lockerbie

From Australia’s Herald Sun:

Gaddafi ‘ordered Lockerbie’

February 24, 2011

LIBYAN leader Muammar Gaddafi personally ordered the 1988 Lockerbie bombing, amid warnings that al Qaeda had gained a foothold in the crumbling north African oil producer, it’s claimed.

Former justice minister Mustapha Abdeljalil told Swedish newspaper Expressen that he had proof Gaddafi personally ordered the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which exploded over the Scottish town of Lockerbie on December 21, 1988, killing 270 people, mostly Americans…

Abdeljalil said Gaddafi pushed hard for the return of convicted bomber Abdel Baset al Megrahi, who was imprisoned in Scotland and whose release on compassionate grounds in 2009 provoked outrage from the US.

"To hide [his involvement], he [Gaddafi] did everything in his power to get Megrahi back from Scotland," said Abdeljalil, who defected in protest at the violence on Tuesday

The original article can be found here. But their English translation is a bit confusing.

Still, who can doubt that this is true?

The Expressen interview ends with Mr. Abdeljalil saying this:

"I saw the devil in him. Mr Gaddafi’s days are numbered. He will do what Hitler did – he should kill himself."

Let’s hope he is right.

“Ka-Daffy did it. T’werent’ me” Well, that’s all well and good but given his technical abilities and so on, I doubt there weren’t any complicit trolls doing his bidding. Any one of which could probably have made it so the bomb was unsuccessful. If you wanna play “final solution” games, let’s very carefully reference the Nazi war crimes hearings at Nuremberg, shall we? “I vuss chust followink ordersss, ja” didn’t work out so good for many.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he did, but it is awfully convenient right now to blame him for anything.
Darn it! He caused global warming, didn’t he!

Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi individually ordered the bombing of Pan Am flight 103, in accordance with Libya’s former justice minister. When Pan Am flight 103 was bombed in 1988, the shattered airplane rained down on Locerbie, Scotland, killing a total of 270 individuals in the plane and in the town. Gadhafi was worried that the Lockerbie bomber would talk and expose the dictator’s complicity, so no holds were barred in securing the man’s return to Libya on “humanitarian grounds in 2009. Someone had to take out a large pay day loan to cover this up for all these years.
