MSNBC Cut Away From Every Minority Speaker

From the website Red Alert Politics:

MSNBC cuts every speech made by a minority from RNC speech coverage

By Francesca Chambers | August 28, 2012

MSNBC wants you to think the Republican Party hates minorities. So much so that the liberal news network cut minority speeches from it’s convention coverage.

When popular Tea Party candidate Ted Cruz, the GOP nominee for Senate, took the stage, MSNBC cut away from the Republican National Convention and the Hispanic Republican from Texas’ speech.

MSNBC stayed on commercial through former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis’ speech, as well. Davis, who recently became a Republican, is black.

Then, when Puerto Rican Governor Luis Fortuno’s wife Luce’ Vela Fortuño took the stage minutes later, MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews opted to talk over the First Lady’s speech.

And Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval? Noticeably missing from MSNBC, too.

Mia Love, a black candidate for Congress in Utah, was also ignored by MSNBC…

To MSNBC’s credit, it did show South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s speech last night. Haley is an Indian American. However, she is not conventionally considered a minority.

We’re not so sure they should be given any credit for this. The twenty-somethings at MSNBC probably did not know who Nikki Haley is, or that she is an Indian-American. They only know skin color.

Meanwhile, we have this from NBC.Com, which used to be called MSNBC:

Villaraigosa: Republicans ‘can’t just trot out a brown face’

By Michael O’Brien | August 28, 2012

TAMPA, Fla. — Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said that Republicans "can’t just trot out a brown face" to make inroads with the Latino community, an increasingly important growing bloc.

As the GOP prepares to showcase some of its rising Hispanic stars during the next two days of its national convention, the Democratic mayor dismissed Republican overtures toward Latinos as insincere.

"You can’t just trot out a brown face or a Spanish surname and expect people are going to vote for your party or your candidate," Villaraigosa said at a press conference here organized by the Democratic National Committee.

For some reason this article fails to note that Mr. Villaraigosa himself tapped San Antonio’s Hispanic Mayor, Julian Castro, to give the keynote at the Democrats’ convention next week. But of course that isn’t pandering.

"People are going to vote just like Anglos do, just like African-Americans do, and virtually every demographic group. They vote for people based on what they say, what they’ve done, and what they’re going to do," he later added…

We actually agree with what Mr. Villaraigosa said here. Except we actually believe it.

By the way, Villaraigosa’s terrible record in Los Angeles almost matches Obama’s.

CBS ATLANTA CUTS AWAY BLACK FACE FROM ARTICLE
Shayla Smith altered elementary school childrens’ grades because “They were dumb as hell.”

CBS uses file photo next to their article:

When Obama is speaking, there are black faces everywhere, when Republicans are, or blacks don’t look so good in the police blottter, the media is there to alter reality for us.

UPDATE! CBS BLURS OUT FACE OF BLACK MAN
      http://news.yahoo.com/video/bo.....00583.html

Have we really gotten to this point? The computer was stolen by a black teenager, and sold to a black teenager in the projects, and the photo is blurred. I have seen plenty of photos of underage people used in the media. Are they only black people allowed in the media, are those smiling and clapping behind Obama while he is speaking?

That sound you hear coming from the projects is the laughter at what a gullible fool this guy was for raising money. How about using the money to reimburse himself for the bars on his windows?

“…said that Republicans “can’t just trot out a brown face” to make inroads with the Latino community.”

No, see, we don’t do that. We “trot out” people who know what needs to be done, who can identify the real problems (not the imagined ones) and come up with solutions to them. That’s what the American People want and are generally colorblind to any good solution.

This statement by Villaraigosa is a clear case of projection because that’s what his party does. It’s what Obama is…a “brown face trotted out to get people to vote for their party”.

One has to admit that they employed the shame angle pretty well. But, as with all things, it has a limited shelf-life and it would appear that, quite by accident, the process by which America elected the worst that the minorities could provide has resulted in people realizing that, “Hey, black people can be stupid, too!” So how about that? By virtue of the desire to “prove” that affirmative action is a legitimate angle, they have done just the opposite and yet, the conservatives on the republican side are remarkably rife with minority members, which the republicans don’t make a fuss about which is as it should be.

Morgan Freeman, in a more sane, salient moment on Leno once said, “You wanna stop racism? Stop talking about it.”. In other words, see people as persons, not a black person or hispanic or asian person. We all have genealogical history and we’re all equally as proud of our genealogy as the next person so there is no need to make it an issue in everyday activity.

Eventually, I think (hope) that it will all even out and subside but perhaps this has been a necessary occurrence in our history to identify that people are people first, and a race or nationality second.

Democrats do NOTHING BUT TROT OUT socialism with a brown face, or socialism with female genitalia, or any other sort of diversity to disguise their socialism.

However, as soon as tactic is turned on them, they are quick to decree who is “authentic” and who is not. As if nut-job feminists (who are mostly lesbians) decide who is female and who is not. The crummiest losers from the gutter decide who is black, and who isn’t. The most racist activists decide who is what and who isn’t.

Isn’t this how Blacks were treated when the Democrat led South had slaves? Glossed over them as human beings?

    • Astravogel

If I recall US History correctly, slaves in the South were counted as 3/5 of a human
being (or 60%) for purposes of representation in the US Congress. Of course, the
Confederate Congress outlawed the importation of more slaves (they had enough?)
but the US Congress waited until the War Between the States was finished. Then
they kept the Southern states out for many years (which is why so many of the
Southern states’ constitutions date from 1874 or so) until the carpetbaggers and
scalawags had harvested as much as they could.

Liberals invented the “trot out.” Every time there is some “horrible problem” that can only be solved by increasing the size and scope of government, we have to listen to some liberal poor sob story, which is almost always a lie. Steve has done a great job of exposing these lying shills over the years. The left cannot win the battle of ideas and resorts to trotting out somebody with a story to sway the conversation with emotion over rationality and practicality.

Beyond that, these RNC speakers are some of the best and brightest conservative minds: Bobby Jindal, Allen West, Nikki Haley, and rising star Mia Love. These aren’t people who sit in the shadows until there is a photo op, these are people who are on the front lines, speaking passionately and leading the conservative charge. The only thing the MSM has said about these speakers today is that they have different colored skin. The MSM is deathly afraid to discuss the ideas and substance of these conservatives. Case in point: the LA Slimes today ran a piece featuring the Villarigosa quote and pontificating on the “brown face[s]” the RNC had chosen. They even went so far as to point out that Rep. Artur Davis gave a “scathing rebuke” of Emperor nerobama after seconding his nomination in 2008. Then the slimes completely missed the logical journalistic question: “What would make one of Emperor nerobama’s biggest supporters choose to join the opposition and give said “scathing rebuke?” There could have been 1000 words there, addressing substance, but the MSM is too scared to go there. They would rather appeal to emotion over logic and reason.

The Democrats and media must truly be scared; I’ve never see so much effort to demonize Romney, the Republicans, Ann, and anyone else. Somewhere today someone threw peanuts at a black news reporter–no idea who this person was, whether an attendee, Democrat “phony protestor,” or a local with an axe to grind, yet it’s already been repeated thousands of times as emblematic of the Republicans.

Really, here’s what I keep hearing from the left:

Romney: Extremist, dangerous, racist, hateful, radical. From privileged background with money, doesn’t understand or relate to “normal” people, cold hearted and looking out only for his powerful buddies. Connected to all kinds of questionable things. Has a phony trophy wife and artificial in every way. Will plunge the country into the abyss if elected.

Obama: Trying to, well, help us out and keep it going, but those Republicans keep hanging him up. Bush made this mess and and Obama had had to clean it up, just he’s not radical enough, he’s sold out, but we’ll stick with him because he’s better than Romney.

And here’s what I keep seeing:

Romney: Prep school upbringing, but grown up into a family man. Loving wife and kids, proven background in business and as a governor. More progressive than I’d like, and probably more likely to compromise with the Democrats. Will likely make a competent but not great president, provided he can survive the hatemill of the left. Could maybe start to turn the country away from the left, but we won’t get back to the Reagan years.

Obama: Extremist, dangerous, racist, hateful, radical. From privileged background with money, doesn’t understand or relate to “normal” people, cold hearted and looking out only for his powerful buddies. Connected to all kinds of questionable things. Has a phony trophy wife and artificial in every way. Will plunge the country into the abyss if elected.

The media is getting paid off with cash. No way Obama is low on funding. All Obama’s campaigning has been paid by tax-payers for 4 years now.
