More Examples Of MSM’s Effort To Destroy Walker

From the New York Times:

Aides’ Emails Provide Detailed Look at Wisconsin’s Governor

By MONICA DAVEY and STEVEN YACCINO | February 19, 2014

Even as Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin looks ahead to 2016 and a possible presidential bid, his political past as Milwaukee County executive has come back to haunt him…

The messages showed how actively Mr. Walker’s campaign coordinated with county workers in 2009 and 2010, when he was running for governor. They shared emails about the proper wording of campaign news releases. They exchanged emails on county time promoting a birthday fund-raising event for the campaign…

Outrageous! But apparently not illegal. Since the prosecutors had these emails for three years and never charged Walker.

While unrelated to the question of campaigning on county time, some of the emails are embarrassing, presumably never meant for public consumption…

Which is why they are being trotted out now.

In 2010, Mr. Nardelli forwarded what appears to be a long chain email to undisclosed recipients that concluded, “I can handle being a black, disabled, one-armed, drug-addicted, Jewish homosexual on a pacemaker who is H.I.V.-positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, lives in a slum, and has a Mexican boyfriend, but please, Oh dear God, please don’t tell me I’m a Democrat!” …

Hopefully, Mr. Nardelli is doing jail time for forwarding such a criminal email. But what exactly does it have to do with Scott Walker?

Probe into Wisconsin governor expanded before vote: documents

By Brendan O’Brien and Mary Wisniewski | February 19, 2014

MILWAUKEE/CHICAGO (Reuters) – Investigators looking into possible wrongdoing by Republican Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker expanded their probe the day before he was elected governor in 2010, seizing computers and hard drives from his offices, documents revealed on Wednesday.

Investigators expanded their probe of possible wrong doing by Scott Walker "the day before he was elected governor"? What a coincidence! But this wasn’t a politically motivated witch hunt. Not at all.

The documents were released in connection with a criminal case involving a former Walker aide, as part of an investigation into county workers illegally campaigning for Republican candidates when Walker was working as county executive.

Note: "illegally campaigning for Republican candidates." This former Walker aide was not trying to get Walker elected.

Walker was not indicted in the three-year probe that led to six convictions. His campaign said that the documents were part of a legal process completed early last year, and he is confident they were "thoroughly reviewed by the authorities."

Democrats compared the Walker case with the controversy surrounding New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, another potential Republican presidential candidate, whose aides are accused of tying up traffic to punish a political opponent…

Of course, they did. If something works once for the Democrats, they never drop it from their playbook. (Cf. Watergate.)

From the Politico:

Dems hope emails embarrass Scott Walker

By ELIZABETH TITUS | Febraury 19, 2014

A former aide to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker appeared to suggest that he was involved in a secret email system where staffers blended official and campaign business, and another former aide passed along a derogatory email about religious and ethnic groups, according to documents released Wednesday.

Again, that’s all they’ve got.

A court ordered the documents — which included some 27,000 emails from a convicted former aide to Walker — to become public, shedding light on a past probe of the Republican’s camp.

We wonder if ‘the court’ is a Democrat?

[T]he release of the documents fueled Democratic hopes of embarrassing the potential 2016 presidential candidate…

National Democratic groups highlighted the release of the emails and documents, with Democratic Governors Association spokesman Danny Kanner emailing reporters to wish them “happy digging.”

Isn’t it great that the Democrat Party has the entire news media doing opposition research for them?

From the Washington Post:

Former Walker aide called e-mail likening welfare recipients to dogs ‘hilarious’

By Sean Sullivan | February 20, 2014

Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s deputy chief of staff when Walker was Milwaukee County executive once responded to an e-mail comparing welfare recipients to dogs by calling it "hilarious," documents released Wednesday show.

Then-deputy chief of staff Kelly Rindfleisch received an e-mail in April 2010 with a photograph of four dogs and a story relayed in jest about trying to sign them up for welfare. "At first the lady said, ‘Dogs are not eligible to draw welfare’. So I expla ned [sic] to her that my Dogs are mixed in color, unemployed, lazy, can’t speak English and have no frigging clue who the r Daddys are. They expect me to feed them, provide them with housing and medical care, and feel guilty," the e-mail said, adding: "My Dogs get their first checks Friday."

Rindfleisch responded: "That is hilarious. And so true."…

[Walker] was not apparently part of the email exchanges about welfare or the one about the "nightmare." But the overall collection of documents threatened to complicate his political future…

Absolutely. Guilt by association is ‘McCarthyism,’ unless it can be used to bring down a Republican. Then it is ‘journalism.’ And the media know that if they can just create the appearance of impropriety that will be enough to damage Walker’s reputation and his chances for any run in 2016.

If these people are so concerned about the use of taxpayer dollars for campaigning, I have a tip for them. There is a politician who has spent millions upon millions of public dollars, misappropriated government property, used government agencies to intimidate political opponents, lied, violated the written word of the law, and conspired to cover up crimes. His current address is 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, D.C. Look for a jug-eared, effeminate, [sort of] black guy wearing mom jeans and smoking a joint.
