Kudo’s to the young lady though. I hope at least she (and her liberal mother) learned something from it -and I really hope she doesn’t become “Catherine the plumber”.

The remark about ‘…criminals, drug dealers and prostitutes….’ brought to mind the regime change we are about to experience.

Seems that someone at the high school took notice that the black students were disciplined more often than the whites, and that was hailed as an obvious sign of discrimination. After that, it was very difficult for the teachers to discipline black students.

Understandably, this caused resentments…they were still working them out when I left Illinois 7 years ago….

My understanding is that, in typical liberal fashion, the quality of the Oak Park schools keeps going down, while they keep passing referendum after referendum to throw more money into them.

This girl was brave to do what she did. I wonder if she was surprised at some of the reactions she got.

It’s amazing how the definition of tolerance has been upended. Originally, tolerance was defined as “putting up with another person’s belief with whom you disagree”. Not validating the other person’s belief, yet putting up with it. You could agree to disagree. Then, in the case of religion, the definition was changed to mean all religions are equal and equally valid–there’s no one true way to God. This is still believed by many. Finally, the definition of tolerance morphed into the antithesis of its original definition. That is, tolerance is “putting up with another person’s belief with whom agree“. If you disagree with someone’s belief, you are labeled intolerant or a bigot.
