The rest of the AP article, predictably, is dripping with bias: “Unlike all other wealthy nations, the United States lacks universal health care. Most health insurance is obtained through employers, and almost 50 million of the 300 million Americans are without it. Barack Obama came to the presidency in January with almost unprecedented bipartisan popularity and strong backing for plan to make health care accessible to all Americans. But opposition has grown because of conservative attacks leading to increasingly raucus protests in recent weeks.” And their writer couldn’t help but smugly note that the poor old guy used Medicare to pay for his hospital visit.

Obammy’s Green Shirts are jumping to action. Hitler’s Brown Shirts had similar tactics (although I’m not sure they including biting off digits) to try and intimidate the rational people of the US and possibly start a riot where use of force would be justified. They did this quite a bit in the Jewish ghettos. This all led to Krystalnacht where thousand of Jewish owned businesses were ransacked. Like they say, those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

So, if you don’t want the government making all of your health-care decisions, you are against reform.

They have an army of linguists twisting the language to help them trick us into willingly electing lives as theird serfs.

If Liberalism still has any contribution to offer, it is probably as a symbol of the human capacity for self-delusion or delusion by ideologies. All evidence points overwhelmingly to the futility and stupidity of Liberal hope-and-change ideology. After a century of failures to build a Marxist utopia –– countless experiments attempted in dozens of countries, deploying the awesome powers of totalitarian governments, often including the use of overwhelming violence, and usually at terrible cost in lives and treasure –– we find that Liberals have nothing of importance to show for their efforts. Not even the pinky finger of a 65-year-old tea party protester.

All of their grandiose redistributionist schemes have failed. Their schemes have failed everywhere, across-the-board, without exception. Instead, we find that the only significant progress that has been achieved in the world is that which has been produced by capitalism, science, and technology. Thus although a Liberal may bite off a man’s finger, it is only Western, capitalist medicine that has the capability to reattach the finger!

But even as we recognize the failures of Liberals and Liberalism, we should be big enough to give credit where credit is due. There are still a few contributions that Liberals have made to this country, and to Western civilization in general, things that enrich our lives and for which we might be grateful:

- the boom in private schools;
- the buyer’s market in real estate;
- brisk sales of guns and ammo;
- that special ingenuity that enables Liberals to visualize all different kinds of other-people’s-stuff that may lend itself to redistribution –– our money and property, our neighborhoods, hospital emergency rooms, areas of our country, our medical care, parts of our bodies, and years of our lives, etc.;
- victimology –– a new branch of sociology and a whole new field of study that serves as a jobs program for historians, economists, political scientists, the literati, artists, and other unemployables, most of whom can be conveniently confined in out-of-the-way places such as government offices or universities (although the harm they do there is another matter);
- the sandwich maneuver; and
- lots of new reasons for drinking.

I would be negligent indeed if I did not hasten to add that, as a result of our long personal acquaintance with them, we have learned a few useful rules of social conduct when mixing with Liberals in public:

- make sure your tetanus vaccinations are up to date;
- keep a close watch on your young children at all times;
- never take a personal check;
- always carry a packet of disposable sanitary hand wipes;
- the importance of a concealed carry permit; and
- the comfort of prayer and Scripture in time of stress (e.g., Numbers 11:33).
