Muslim Murders US Recruiter – No Outrage

From Little Rock, Arkansas’ KATV:

Abdulhakim Muhammad, 23, of Little Rock, right, appears with his attorney Stephen Thomas in a Little Rock, Ark., courtroom Tuesday, June 2, 2009.

One Dead, One Injured in West LR Shooting

Little Rock – One person is dead, another seriously injured, and a third is in custody following a double shooting in west Little Rock Monday morning.

Authorities say the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. at a U.S. Army Navy Career Center inside the Ashley Square Shopping Center at 9112 North Rodney Parham Road. According to Lt. Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police Department, two people standing outside the office were hit when the unidentified suspect drove up and began shooting. Both of the wounded were taken to a nearby hospital, where one of the victims died a short time later, according to police…

And now we have this update, again from KATV:

Shooter, Victims Identified in West LR Shooting

Mon June 01, 2009

Authorities have identified the soldier killed in Monday’s double-shooting outside a U.S Army recruitment office in west Little Rock.

According to Pulaski County Coroner Garland Camper, 23-year-old William Long of Conway died shortly after being transported to a Little Rock hospital…

At a briefing Monday afternoon, Little Rock police chief Stuart Thomas identified the suspect as Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, 24, of Little Rock. Thomas says Muhammad also goes by the name Carlos Bledsoe.

Hastings identified the second wounded soldier as Quinton Ezeagwula, age unknown. He remains at a local hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Muhammad led police on a brief pursuit towards downtown Little Rock, before being taken into custody in the area of the Interstate 30/630 interchange. Authorities searched the vehicle and found an assault rifle, Hastings said. A bomb squad was called in, as police were concerned about two bags in the vehicle, but no explosives were found, he said.

At the Monday-afternoon briefing, Thomas said investigators believe Muhammad acted alone, and likely carried "political and religious motives." Thomas said the gunman targeted the military but was not believed to be part of a broader scheme.

Muhammad faces one capital murder charge, and 15 counts of terroristic acts.

The FBI has opened an investigation into the incident, said Steven Frazier, spokesman for the agency’s Little Rock office. "Based on what we find, we will determine whether there is any federal jurisdiction to prosecute," he said.

According to Army Lt. Col. Thomas F. Artis, Long and Ezeagwula were not recruiters, but part of a recruiting program called "hometown recruiting assistance." Artis says recruiters use soldiers to tell their stories and talk to potential recruits while they are visiting or based back in their home region.

Long and Ezeagwula were just out of basic training, Artis said, and had not been deployed.

Where is Mr. Obama’s statement denouncing this murder? Where are the US marshals to protect the recruiting centers?

Indeed, where is the media coverage?

As of this hour there are no national reports about this attack, and no photographs on the wire services.

Where’s the outrage?

The left-wing version of the abortion doctor slaying. For some reason I don’t think there will be as much to do about this story:

One Dead, One Injured in West LR Shooting

Little Rock – One person is dead, another seriously injured, and a third is in custody following a double shooting in west Little Rock Monday morning…

A local story that was picked up by CNN, at least they had the sense to put in that it was a recruitment center that was targeted. The story neglects to mention that soldiers were the victim(s). The picture that accompanies the article shows a person in BDUs being treated on the side walk outside the center. The shooter was a black male; it would be a safe bet that he was a democrat and Obama supporter (since he has no detractors in that demographic), although I wouldn’t want to guess at his motives.

Pro-lifer kills abortion doctor, OUTRAGE. Lefty kills soldier, SILENCE. What media bias?

  2. Semper-Par-FI says:

There will be nothing in the media because they hate the military and everything it stands for. When I was in the field I hated the press and this is why. They are just a bunch of jackals looking to photograph dead servicemen.

  3. beautyofreason says:

Religion of peace strikes again…Waiting for CAIR or other Muslim Brotherhood front groups to make excuses for this criminal while feigning moderation.

  4. retire05 says:

Nut kills Tiller – all pro-lifers painted with a broad brush by the left wing.

Radical Muslim kills young soldier and shoots another – but don’t paint all Islam with a broad brush. We must be tolerant, you know.

  5. proreason says:

This kind of sums it up, doesn’t it.

A doctor who has killed thousands of innocents is shot, and the media rushes to adulate the deranged doctor as an icon of women’s rights. No mention of the babies who died. Midnight vigils are held…..for the slain killer of babies. Editorials are written.

A hero looking for others to protect his country from maniacs is gunned down in cold blood. The press hardly notices. His contributions to our country go without acclaim. His killer could be a terrorist. Rather than inquire, the thought is dismissed. Where are the vigils for this honorable man?

Something is very very sick with our world. It’s as if the devil himself has siezed control.

    • neocon mom says:

The devil has certainly deceived a majority of Americans into accepting counterfeits for many things, most notably, the current leader of our once great nation.

  6. catie says:

Can’t think of anything pithy to add. It’s disgusting where this country’s priorities are.

    • Catie, I know what you mean. Not sure what to add, or to say. I cannot believe that I had not heard of this until 5 minutes ago catching up on my reading…

I suppose there might well be a counter Jihad movement in this country before this is all over.

    • wardmama4 says:

Here is your thought to remember and hang onto – Catie:

23 year old William Long (who is probably a private) was in Little Rock at this recruiting station doing what is known as ‘hometown’ recruiting. Many new Army soldiers do it – Today he is in God’s hand knowing he was doing what was right and innocent in his death.

And whether it is soon or later – Carlos Bledsoe who apparently the Muslims in prison still carry that gang identification and must do something to ‘prove’ themselves will also stand in front of God and be judged for the killing of an innocent.

Take this along with the Tiller killing – ‘Dr’ Tiller is being judged by God for all the things that he did on this earth, even including swearing to ‘first do no harm’ and then murdering innocents.

And Scott Roeder (if he is indeed the shooter) will also (again sooner or later) stand before God and be judged –

It is all we can do – since it is obvious we now have a State Media to do and say only what The One ™ oks.

Those of us who believe in God, know that justice will be done – no matter how hard and twisted the Liberals here on earth try to make it.

  7. 12 Gauge Rage says:

There will soon come a day to where some men and women in the military won’t put their lives on the line to protect an ungrateful nation. As one old salt in the military once told me: ‘My blood is too precious to defend someone’s right to be a dumb@ss.’

    • neocon mom says:

This memorial day I found myself weeping not only for the brave heroes who died for us, but for the way in which we have squandered the hard-bought gift of freedom to a degree never before seen in my lifetime. It is shameful.

  8. Paulajay says:

I wonder if this “Muslim convert” was welcomed into the religion of peace while serving time in prison… That’s where most blacks are converted these days. God Bless our Military Men and Women. It’s a miracle they are still willing to serve and defend our Country now that we have a narcissistic Marxist in charge.

    • neocon mom says:

My thoughts exactly–it is becoming a bigger and bigger problem. Richard Reed (the shoebomber) was converted (or reverted, as the Islamists say) in prison. Radical Islam has a natural appeal to thugs and in Europe and England young reverts are the equivalent of our street gangs, only they want to kill and intimidate “infidels”. Europe is a much softer target than the U.S. since they are even more deeply steeped in post-modern thinking and basically hate themselves already. But we are most definitely heading down that road at an ever-increasing pace.

    • wardmama4 says:

Doesn’t really matter – Bledsoe no matter how/where he converted.

-‘A prosecutor said Muhammad admitted shooting Long and another soldier “because of what they had done to Muslims in the past.”-‘

Except for one serious problem – PVT William Long and PVT Quinton Ezeagwula – were on ‘home town’ recruiting after having just completed basic training – they have not done anything to any Muslims in the past – they were simply the chosen targets of someone brainwashed (since Mr. Bledsoe was born in America) to a completely insane degree.

Hey, now maybe do you all think that the Left just might want to look into exactly what techniques Islam uses – oh wait I keep forgetting – America is the great satan – there is no need to brainwash anyone – since everyone hates America, including her citizens.

Nope, not even Drudge is on this story. It is a shame – from way back in the 70s when soldiers were killed in a bombing in Germany – I knew that the State Medias take was – they deserve what they get.

Sad day – when one group/person is more equal than others.

    • caligirl9 says:

I want to know why this isn’t considered a hate crime?

(Mumblings in the back of my head)

Oh, it can’t be a hate crime if the perp is black and a Muslim.

      I totally get it.

  9. Colonel1961 says:

An incredible action. I pray that this is not a test of resolve…

  10. wirenut says:

First of all my deepest sympathy to the victims of this terrible outrage. Our families prayers go out to those effected. How will this play out legally? Act of war, hate crime, or what? Yet one more non-uniform wearing combatant/coward killing at large. I’m soooo mad I’m spitting and sh*ting bullets. The MSM may hold a man that took the oath to protect life, and then snuffs it out in high esteem. These young men took an oath to protect not just life, but our “way” of life. They were shot for it. If this isn’t a rally cry to get behind, then I don’t know what is. Screw the msm. As with all the deaths and injuries in the military, think of the families.

  11. Moonspinner says:

I live in west Little Rock and I know Ashley Square quite well. This murder just makes me sick! I know exactly why the national media won’t report this, they don’t want to put Muslims in a bad light. They also have no love of the United States military. Add in a president of the United States who also hates America and the US military and looks favorably towards Muslims, and that just about sums up why the national media (State controlled media as Rush calls them now) won’t report this.

  12. canary says:

Obama’s “shocked and outraged” statement from the WH over Doctor Death, but no outrage over the NYC terrorists ready to take down military planes and Jewish temples, no praise for the FBI, now this. An Iraqi soldier I know recently, talking about his tours, out of the blue, said how angry they were over John Kerry’s statement that the uneducated join the military. He told me he wanted me to know, that it’s a big lie. Anyways, I thought that was so long ago. But, this photo, is priceless, in case some of you missed it years ago.

  15. pdsand says:

Remember for the rest of your lives. Obama and the democrats consider this sort of thing to be legitimate protest of America’s unlawful use of force under George W. Bush. That’s why there’s no outrage, they think that the military is getting what they had coming to them.

    • proreason says:

“Obama and the democrats consider this sort of thing to be legitimate protest of America’s unlawful use of force under George W. Bush”

      bears repeating

  16. IdahoGal says:

I have enough outrage for all of us. I’m beginning to feel physically ill all the time and I know it’s the stress of what’s happening to my country. I’ve never felt like this before in my life and I’m almost 64. God help us.

  17. Liberals Demise says:

I’m willing to bet that along with a new prayer rug and a arrow pointing to Mecca, this bed wetting thumb sucking mudslime will get a laptop and schooling on how to properly use the internet.
Has God finally turned a weeping eye away from America?

    • JohnMG says:

I don’t have a problem with the arrow pointing toward Mecca, LD, so long as it first passes through his black heart and projects through his chest where he can see it.

  18. BannedbytheTaliban says:

To every liberal mush head out there, if that were your 23 year old son lying dead on the side walk, do you still think sending this terrorist to Gitmo to be torture? Does he deserve constitutional rights when his actions were an overt attempt to destroy the embodiment of its protection? Why give him rights that are a part of something he is violently against?

  19. Grassy Knoll says:

The ABC News story said that police had to just “guess” at a motive. And then later in the stroy they reveal the suspect was on an FBI terrorist watch list and had just returned from the Middle East. Gee, let’s all “guess” the motive behind the murder. He is also being charged with 16 counts of committing a terroristic act, as well as capital murder. And what is it that we call someone who commits terroristic acts?

    • Liberals Demise says:

      Obamas prayer buddy?

    • gradstudent says:

“What is it that we call someone who commits terroristic acts?”

Obama has some cabinet positions available…maybe we’ll be calling him secretary of something…

  21. Consilience says:

There is no outrage because we have no serious AMERICAN adults in national leadership. What we have are a bunch of America-hating, camel-jockey sympathizing, totalitarian socialists… As others have pointed out; whenever a notorious murdering “doctor” who flaunts his conduct of brutal late-term abortions is gunned-down; sympathy from the highest office—but when one of Barry’s own takes out an American soldier, not a peep—-we are done as a nation. We can only hope the Several States do the right thing…

    • catie says:

Consillience, we can hope but I’m not holding my breath. They will not be promoting vigils for Pvt. Long by candlelight in town squares across the nation.
Barry cares not for the military but does try to put on a good show with his lip service. Lately he has become quite fond of playing golf at the course at Fort Belvoir. Regardless if someone has a tee time reserved or not, they’re kicked to the proverbial curb so that the messiah and his party can play a round. He played on Memorial Day and was out there last Sunday, much to the chagrin of my neighbor who is a full bird and isn’t accustomed to having to wait for anyone. But he’ll be there at the Big Army Ball yucking it up with the wife.
These two remind me of some old time feudal Lords. She leaves the estate to pop into the feudal schools, shops etc to be condescended to and he does the same thing with visiting his “troops”.

    • Consilience says:

Catie, I’m in the NOVA area and know what you mean about the “feudal lord”-like way these two comport themselves—-totally classless and lacking humility. I’m retired military—I hung up my spurs when Clinton was reelected in 96 along with a whole bunch of other guys who would not follow such a flawed man.

    • catie says:

Consilience, I unfortunately reside in the NOVA area as well. I left the reserves when Clinton came in as well in early 1994. When I met my husband in early 2000, we went to a Ball at Fort Stewart, GA, where he was stationed and when it came time to toast the CIC it was pitifully quiet and I remember the two Cpt’s at our table (my then fiance was still a 1st Lt) clapped with their two index fingers. We know a lot of folks who have left since January. Unfortunately he can’t retire until next year because he went to some school and had to sign a 2 year commitment because people were leaving and getting 6 figure jobs.

  25. JohnMG says:

I have a question. Just because Carlos Bledsoe calls himself Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, why do we have to call him that. I refuse to call the boxer who beat Sonny Liston anything other than Cassius Clay to this day. If these idiots think they somehow gain stature and gravitas by adopting a stupid name-change, (think Chamequa, Shanika, Tshwana, Shaquan–whatever contrived succession of consonants and vowels their tiny little mental-midget minds conjur up) they’re sadly mistaken. All this does is confirm the sad state of their own educational shortcomings. In other words, it’s like they took out ad space on a digital billboard that says, “Hey, look at me. I’m an imbecel, and I’m proud of it!”

I used to think, “Don’t laugh, it’ll encourage them”, and “Ignore them, and they’ll go away” was the way to handle it. But it only seems we’ve given them a soapbox from which to speak their drivel.

Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, indeed. Just put this idiot son-of-a-bitch out of his feeble-minded misery. Oh, yeah, dont forget his 72 (goat) virgins, either!

    • Petronius says:

“Just because Carlos Bledsoe calls himself Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, why do we have to call him that?”

When Carlos adopted his new name he probably intended it to be a kind of declaration of war. For Pete’s sake, his middle name “Mujahid” is the name given to a Muslim warrior engaged in jihad. In a mentally healthy society this creep would have been put down before he could do serious damage. Now it’s too late, but, if this case ever reaches a jury, we can hope that the jury will view his name as a virtual confession. But who knows? I gave up predicting jury verdicts a long time ago.

Absolutely disgusting. I am going back to read the rest of the comments in a moment but I am just struck by something. When our returning Vietnam Vets returned, weren’t insults like “baby-killer” tossed around pretty frequently? Oh the irony.

It is a pitiful shame that servicemembers are advised not to wear their duty uniforms in certain cities because of threats of violence. Absolutely pitiful. We have first hand knowledge of this in my family. In recent history no less. I am not even talking about Vietnam era.

  27. Celina says:

I had to add this in case it hadn’t been seen it already.

    I love my governor.

Shall I hold my breath waiting for BO to comment on the murder of one of our soldiers and the wounding of another?

  28. curvyred says:

Since the lefties are willingly blaming right-wing ideology as the reason for the death of the late-term abortionist, would it also be fair to blame left-wing idealogy as the reason for the death of the fine young military member and the wounding of the other?

    *using liberal logic*

On a serious note, my heart goes out to the Privates and their families.

Barry still has not issued one word of condemnation of this attack , yet he was exceedingly quick to issue a statement in regards to the abortionist – why is that? (Rhetorical I know)
