Barry still has not issued one word of condemnation of this attack , yet he was exceedingly quick to issue a statement in regards to the abortionist – why is that? (Rhetorical I know)

Absolutely disgusting. I am going back to read the rest of the comments in a moment but I am just struck by something. When our returning Vietnam Vets returned, weren’t insults like “baby-killer” tossed around pretty frequently? Oh the irony.

It is a pitiful shame that servicemembers are advised not to wear their duty uniforms in certain cities because of threats of violence. Absolutely pitiful. We have first hand knowledge of this in my family. In recent history no less. I am not even talking about Vietnam era.

When Carlos adopted his new name he probably intended it to be a kind of declaration of war. For Pete’s sake, his middle name “Mujahid” is the name given to a Muslim warrior engaged in jihad. In a mentally healthy society this creep would have been put down before he could do serious damage. Now it’s too late, but, if this case ever reaches a jury, we can hope that the jury will view his name as a virtual confession. But who knows? I gave up predicting jury verdicts a long time ago.

I have a question. Just because Carlos Bledsoe calls himself Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, why do we have to call him that. I refuse to call the boxer who beat Sonny Liston anything other than Cassius Clay to this day. If these idiots think they somehow gain stature and gravitas by adopting a stupid name-change, (think Chamequa, Shanika, Tshwana, Shaquan–whatever contrived succession of consonants and vowels their tiny little mental-midget minds conjur up) they’re sadly mistaken. All this does is confirm the sad state of their own educational shortcomings. In other words, it’s like they took out ad space on a digital billboard that says, “Hey, look at me. I’m an imbecel, and I’m proud of it!”

I used to think, “Don’t laugh, it’ll encourage them”, and “Ignore them, and they’ll go away” was the way to handle it. But it only seems we’ve given them a soapbox from which to speak their drivel.

Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, indeed. Just put this idiot son-of-a-bitch out of his feeble-minded misery. Oh, yeah, dont forget his 72 (goat) virgins, either!

Consilience, I unfortunately reside in the NOVA area as well. I left the reserves when Clinton came in as well in early 1994. When I met my husband in early 2000, we went to a Ball at Fort Stewart, GA, where he was stationed and when it came time to toast the CIC it was pitifully quiet and I remember the two Cpt’s at our table (my then fiance was still a 1st Lt) clapped with their two index fingers. We know a lot of folks who have left since January. Unfortunately he can’t retire until next year because he went to some school and had to sign a 2 year commitment because people were leaving and getting 6 figure jobs.

Consillience, we can hope but I’m not holding my breath. They will not be promoting vigils for Pvt. Long by candlelight in town squares across the nation.
Barry cares not for the military but does try to put on a good show with his lip service. Lately he has become quite fond of playing golf at the course at Fort Belvoir. Regardless if someone has a tee time reserved or not, they’re kicked to the proverbial curb so that the messiah and his party can play a round. He played on Memorial Day and was out there last Sunday, much to the chagrin of my neighbor who is a full bird and isn’t accustomed to having to wait for anyone. But he’ll be there at the Big Army Ball yucking it up with the wife.
These two remind me of some old time feudal Lords. She leaves the estate to pop into the feudal schools, shops etc to be condescended to and he does the same thing with visiting his “troops”.
