One of the singers, a young female, began to dance lightly during her song by kicking her feet. As she danced to the music, her hijab slipped a little higher from her head and showed her dark hair. Her "dance" was not provocative but after the performance, both young and old men on the street called for her to be killed / murdered for insulting Islam. The men condemned her as a whore - for this simple performance. Her family tried to reach her after the show, believing rumors that she had been killed and her throat slashed for the offense. She didn't die, but she received many death threats. So in my mind, the term savage does not quite cover the traditional Islam practiced in Afghanistan. And the suicide bombings, acid attacks on young girls are no surprise to me. When those men have nothing to live for but their anti-human, anti-female beliefs, they will die to deprive others the right to live.
