Muslims Murder 60+ Muslims In Baghdad

From those defenders of the faith at the Associated Press:

Baghdad suicide bomb hits army recruits, kills 60

BAGHDAD – A suicide bomber blew himself up Tuesday among hundreds of army recruits who had gathered near a military headquarters in an attack officials said killed 60 and wounded 125, one of the bloodiest bombings in months in the Iraqi capital.

The massive strike just outside a major division headquarters and recruitment center is an embarrassment to Iraqi security forces and casts doubts on their ability to protect themselves and the nation just two weeks before all but 50,000 U.S. troops head home.

You think?

Iraqi military spokesman Maj. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi blamed al-Qaida in Iraq for enlisting the bomber, whose upper body he said was found at the scene of the blast.

Yasir Ali, who had been waiting outside the military headquarters since 4 a.m. with about 1,000 other hopeful recruits, said he saw the bomber, describing him as a blond young man. Ali said the bomber was sitting quietly among the recruits, then walked up to an officer collecting I.D. cards and blew himself up…

Tuesdays’ blast took place around 7:30 a.m. outside the former Iraqi Ministry of Defense building that now houses the army’s 11th division headquarters. The site receives about 250 new recruits each week as Iraqi security forces try to bolster their ranks to prepare for the U.S. military’s looming withdrawal after seven years of war.

Bodies of young men, some still clutching job applications and other documents in their hands, could be seen scattered about at the blast site, which Iraqi soldiers closed off. U.S. helicopters hovered overhead as frantic Iraqis showed up to search for relatives…

The recruits had been gathering, many of them since long before dawn, in an open and unprotected area next to Maidan Square in central Baghdad as they waited for hours to be allowed through the main gates of the headquarters in small groups, according to two Iraqi police officials who spoke on condition of anonymity. At least three soldiers were among the dead and eight among the wounded, the police officials said…

As many as 1,000 army recruits were gathered at the division headquarters, he added, because Tuesday was to be the last day for soldiers to sign up

The Iraqis seems a little slow in learning about crowd control and security.

Still, Happy Ramadan, everyone! And just imagine the festivities once the US finally leaves at the end of the year.

By the way, notice that the Associated Press appears to have given up trying to explain these murderous attacks. Until recently, they were due to the elections, or the government not yet being settled, or any other straw the AP could clutch at.

But it is all too clear that this is simply a matter of one pious Muslim sect trying to destroy another sect. Just as it is everywhere else in the world where differing Mohammadan devotees come into contact with each other.

That is, when they aren’t too busy killing infidels.

Maybe they should build a Community Center Mosque there to further their outreach for understanding cultural differences.

OK, so the islamic radicals will kill any muslim when there arn’t infidels nearby to kill, right? So, why are we still there. Get our troops out of the middle east and them kill themselves.

Sounds like a win-win to me.

  3. Right of the People says:

Why don’t these towelhead extremists just admit they hate everyone and want to kill them because they aren’t exactly like them and get it over with?

When you start killing your own people just because they aren’t as off the farm as you are then you’re not even a religious fanatic or a “Soldier for Allah or the Holy Jihad” anymore you are just a hate filled demon who should be eradicated for the good of all mankind.

ObamaNamCong 1. I’ve spoke to so many young soldiers that truly were proud of what they accomplished in freeing & rebuilding Iraq. Blood, sweat, & tears, and now there will be new tears.

Iraq – let the slaughter begin. And this just highlights (really, really neon bright) the true problem with the radical islamic terrorists, islam and the clueless POTUS we have right now. It is not a simple group of 20 radicals who went off the rails – this is the core problem with islam – violence – be it against another sect, women, children, other religions, other countries, anyone and everyone. It is a shame that we got involved in this pathetic mess – wait, my bad these radical islamic terrorists got us involved in this mess – it is just a shame that the Democrat propaganda machine turned on the GWOT 3 weeks after it started and hobbled our attempt to stamp it out once and for all.

Now our grandchildren will probably be involved in a Gulf War III since neither Bush 41 nor Bush ‘junior’ had the backbone or guts to do the real job – of course I also blame the ‘if we just quit being imperialist all over the World and destroy our guns, nukes and bombs, all the other countries won’t feel threatened by the big bad US and wouldn’t have to defend themselves’ crappola.

I go with my first thought as the second plane hit the Twin Towers – ‘Nuke ’em til they glow.’ Just think one desolate country that has only poppies as it’s big crop, ruled by the brutal Taliban and local warlords – and they would have never gone after us again – until of course they had quietly overtaken all the pc weinnie countries of the World. Then of course it is going to be a harder, longer, more devastating to the innocents ‘war’ – but that is something the muslims and liberals have in common – a policy that hurts the innocents the most.

I hope that they all rot in hell – we just should have bombed ’em all into the 3rd century they belong in.
