Thank you canary. That was a very informative article. Forgive me if I sound like a pessimist, but I can’t for the life of me consider Indonesia to be a “moderate” country when it punishes non-Muslims in this manner.

Beauty of Reason, I found a story and photos’ around the internet of the beheading of 3 Christain schools. They were some kind of sacrifices. They have hindu beliefs too, and even Obama as a boy and young man in Kenyan believed in alot of witchcraft type ghosts and all. And then I recalled when we were getting donations to send to Indonesia after the Tusami that many did not want us there bringing aid, because they were afraid the missionaries and workers would sneak and try and get Christianity in there. They must register their religion. Jews are not allowed, and athiests choose a religion to register under which means that Obama’s mother an athiest would not have registered as such. As his mother wore a veil and in pictures, I guess she was a radical muslim who was really an athiest. She was radical about hating America. Aside coming back for education, she came back for medical treatment when she slowly died of cancer without her son around. He has no empathy I guess.

I can think of no Islamic country where Muslims do not kill other Muslims over doctrinal differences. Even in Indonesia, where women are regularly “circumcised” (mutilated), blasphemy against Islam is banned, and other religions face discrimination….it is not enough for the Islamic groups.

Cases of discrimination against Christians and other beliefs in Indonesia: (I realize that wikipedia is not the best source, but I find it informative in this case)

Some examples:

“On 9 December 2008, hundreds of Muslim rioters damaged sixty-seven houses, a church, and a community hall, and injured five people in Masohi, Central Maluku. The rioters were allegedly angry that a Christian school teacher, Welhelmina Holle, had allegedly said something blasphemous during an after-class tutorial at an elementary school.The police arrested Holle for blasphemy. The police arrested two Muslim men for inciting violence.”

“In April 2007, police in Malang, East Java, detained forty-two Protestants for disseminating a “prayer video” that instructs individuals to put the Quran on the ground, and to pray for the conversion of Indonesia’s Muslim political leaders. In September 2007, a local court found each of those detained guilty of insulting religion, and sentenced each to five years in prison.”

“In November 2005, local police on the island of Madura arrested a man for denigrating a religion because he publicly professed a nontraditional version of Islam. A court sentenced the man to two and a half years imprisonment.”

…etc, etc. And this is the country where Obama grew up. He did call the U.S. “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world,” so it makes one wonder if he understands the difference between Indonesia and the United States. Perhaps he is just copying Indonesian intolerance of non-Muslim faiths.

Obama claims in 2006, said Jemaah Islamiah who had links to Al Qaeda were responsible for the bombings. That Islamic parties control politics of Sharia islamic law. Lot’s of Wahhabist clerics, schools, mosques, Ismalmic militants and self-proclaimed “‘vice squads” suicide bombings, attacking any moderates. He compares it as not being quite as bad as conditions in Iraq were under Saddam Hussein. Then they ousted the secular moderate leader. and had their first free election, with more democracy, but islamic extremism became worse. Poverty became worse, Suicide bombings and 2002, 2004 in Jakarta, 2005 Bali, and around this time in Bali, Obama is there for 4 monthes with writers block. He took visits there in his teens. (not sure when his visits to the other middle-eastern countries were) prior to his Senate committe visit in 2003 to Iraq, in which after a day and half, he took off on his own unauthorized visit, to “map out” his take on Palenstine and Israel on the unkowning tax-payers money.

Obama is so contradictory in his outlook on Indonesia, and admits most of what he has learned came from his mother who hated Americans, who lived there, except for her returned stunt for more education before going back.

I’m not exaggerating when I say Obama has a great love and strong ties to Indonesia. But, Obama’s blames America for Indonesia’s ongoing problems, because inspite of Obama being against Vietnam War, and helping liberate Iraq’s from Saddam Hussein, he is angry that America did not go over there decades ago and help Indonesia who has had a muslim civil war for centuries, the purging of communists in the 60’s. Nothing he writes on blaming America
on Indonesia’s problems, makes since, unless you look at it through the eyes of a communist. Obama believes Chavez’s set up is good, the only problem being that people might be abused. There has always been bloodshed in Indonesia. Maybe Obama wanted to see Indonesia under Dutch or Japanese rule. He is so contradictory and unfactual. To explain his main focusing on Indonesia (which I think really means he does not know much about foreign policy). He starts his foreign chapter bringing up Indonesia that most American’s do not even know exists. His little secret and he’s going to educate us because it
“serves as a useful metaphor for the world beyond our borders.” which is the title of his chapter on foreign affairs.
Obama condemns Cold War mentality, but says Harry Truman’s foreign policy was best.
Says many believe Chavez system is best, and he doesn’t rule that theory out, except he thinks some individuals might be more likely to suffer under that type
government. I wonder who “many” is. Fellow democrats? His muslim buddies?
Pretty hypocritical that America was suppose to police and save Indonesia, but
not meddle in other countries.

locomotive, isn’t it funny how the news I’ve heard now this has only been Fox tv & what was on the radio (abc & fox), never once was the Religion of Peas brought up.
I pray for those killed (not the bombers) and those injured as well.

What more is there to say about a religion that condones, nay encourages people to take their own lives and as many others’ lives be they believers or non-believers? Even the argument that they are killing non-muslims is so much horse pucky when a large portion of their victims are muslims.

I’m a relatively tolerant person, I haven’t pistol whipped a tonk is quite awhile, but I’m beginning to get a case of the red-ass at these clowns, including the Teleprompter Cowboy in the Oval Office.

I’m with you Canary, I hope Barry takes his entire staff with him to Jakarta for a visit and doesn’t come back. Of course the only downside to that is that Bozo Joe would then be in charge. Maybe that’s why Barry picked him, assassination insurance.

Isn’t it great to live in a country where freely elected representatives with impecable integrity look out for the well-being of the public at all times?

These Muslim nuts killed 9 people this time, but next time it will be a hundred or a thousand.

But in America, the millions who will die because of changes in our health care system do so with a happy smile on our face. Because we know that our dear leaders crave complete power over our lives, and we want them to be happy.

And we enjoy sacrificing years of our lives so that people who currently have free health care will be able to have the pleasure of bankrupting rich people in addition to having a new type of free health care with our dear leader’s name on it.

The suicide bombings in Bali 4 years ago, did not stop Obama, sister and Michelle from going there for 4 monthes of writers block. 2006, he still dreams of taking wife and children there, and Hillary’s recent visit was that Obama would soon come. Now would be a good time. Leave the girls at home. After 9/11 Bushes daughters were rarely seen. Yes, Obama’s continues to consider Indonesia his true love. He’d better tell the new leader not to hunt down the terrorists. Obama will tell them it will only be worst. Meanwhile bloodshed and killing non-radical muslims continues. Obama could live there and get his oil right from his homie land.
