Napolitano Says “The System Worked”

From the Politico:

Napolitano: "The system worked"

December 27, 2009

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said that the thwarting of the attempt to blow up the Amsterdam-Detroit flight this week demonstrated that "the system worked."

Asked by CNN’s Candy Crowley on "State of the Union" how that could be possible when the young Nigerian who sought to set off the bomb was able to smuggle explosive liquid onto the flight, Napolitano responded: "We’re asking the same questions."

Napolitano added that there was "no suggestion that [the bomber] was improperly screened."

Is Ms. Napolitano insane?

Keep this preposterously ignorant remark in mind the next time she reassures about anything.

Some further elucidation of Ms. Napolitano’s words of comfort, from Reuters:

No sign Detroit flight incident in larger plot: U.S.

By Vicki Allen

December 27, 2009

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – There is no initial evidence that the Nigerian man charged with trying to blow up a U.S. passenger jet was involved in a larger plot, a senior U.S. official said on Sunday.

But al Qaeda involvement is a "subject of investigation" in Friday’s incident, U.S. homeland security chief Janet Napolitano said after U.S. authorities on Saturday charged Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, with attempting to blow up the plane by setting alight an explosive device attached to his body…

"Well, right now we have no indication that it is part of anything larger. But obviously the investigation continues. And we have instituted more screening and what we call mitigation measures at airports," U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano told CNN’s "State of the Union" program.

Asked whether al Qaeda was involved in the incident, Napolitano told ABC’s "This Week" program, "That is now the subject of investigation, and it would be inappropriate for me to say and inappropriate to speculate. So we will let the FBI and the criminal justice system now do their work."

So right after saying there is “no indication that it is part of anything larger,” the brilliant Ms. Napolitano then says it would be inappropriate to speculate about Al Qaeda’s involvement.

Which is it?

A senior U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said on Saturday authorities were looking at the possibility that Abdulmutallab had ties to al Qaeda in Yemen.

Abdulmutallab is due to make his first court appearance at 2 p.m. EST on Monday in federal court in Detroit on a motion from prosecutors to take a sample of his DNA.

Napolitano said U.S. authorities were reviewing current rules on who goes on official watch lists used to identify people who might pose security threats and was reviewing screening policies and technologies.

The U.S. government created a record of Abdulmutallab last month in the intelligence community’s central repository of information on known and suspected international terrorists, a U.S. official said on Saturday. But there was not enough negative data to put him on a "no-fly" list, the official said.

The government needs "information that’s specific and credible if you’re actually going to bar someone" from air travel, Napolitano said on CNN.

His very own father, who is a seemingly responsible person, saying that his son is a Muslim extremist who needed to be watched.

But that’s not specific or credible enough for Ms. Napolitano.

She also sought to reassure travelers, telling CNN, "The traveling public is very, very safe in this air environment," adding that "the system worked" to thwart a potential disaster.

"Everybody played an important role here. The passengers and crew of the flight took appropriate action," she said of the incident that occurred on Northwest Airlines flight 253, a Delta-owned Airbus 330. Delta Air Lines has taken over Northwest.

"The whole process of making sure that we respond properly, correctly and effectively went very smoothly," she said.

Again, this is the gibbering of a lunatic.

There is no way on earth that Ms. Napolitano should be allowed to continue in her position as head of Homeland Security if she believes this.

  1. Rusty Shackleford says:

    In short, there is no “ideal” way to screen all passengers. In one way or another they will all feel “discriminated against”. Like schools, what airlines possibly fear the most is a lawsuit. They are costly and devour financial resources regardless of outcome.

    I said it years ago. Everyone who wants to fly, is escorted into a room where they disrobe. They are provided with a jumpsuit to wear during the flight. When they reach their destination, they are allowed to go change back and get their clothes back.

    No, it’s not perfect.

    The other method is don’t let anyone who’s a muslim fly at all, ever. Period. It works for me.

    So, it’s discriminatory, you say? Well, let’s take a look at every terrorist act ever perpetrated against the US…was by muslim men between the ages of 18-40. I’m profiling? Well, in my poor feeble mind, when it comes down to it, I don’t care. The political correctness aspect of it has to go. If we disallow muslims from flying then maybe the “peace-loving” ones will put pressure on the “viloent” ones and get them to quit acting like the misanthropic turds that they truly are.

    That tactic used to work…in any one group, if one of the group screws it up, the whole group gets punished. Thus, the rest of the group takes care of business and problem is solved. But I have learned that that is somehow “cruel” and “backward”.

    By who’s standard?

    I think it’s both cruel and backward to allow our sworn enemies and their friends to fly on our airplanes. Israel doesn’t let them. Egyptair doesn’t let them. Why should we?

  2. GL0120 says:

    The system worked?
    What system is this moron referring to?
    A person who fits the “Unofficial” profile of a terrorist was able to sneak explosives aboard a plane. Had it not been for the heroic actions of a passenger, there would’ve been a tragedy.
    The only system that worked here was the system of self preservation.

    dumbass … no point in being polite.

  4. proreason says:

    You scoff, but you haven’t seen any deranged veterans, teabaggers or Sarah Palin book clubbers sneaking past TSA, have you?

    Janet from another planet is said to be a prime candidate for the next SCOTUS opening. Perhaps she could do even more damage in that post.

    It doesn’t create much confidence in the system with idiots like this running it. It’s almost as though the ladies from Code Pink are managing our national security. Hell, they are running national security.

  6. Gila Monster says:

    More inane drivel from our book-end DHS czar, from the same interview via the AP;

    WASHINGTON – Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says there is no indication that the man who attempted to destroy an airliner in Detroit on Christmas Day is part of a larger terrorist plot.

    Napolitano refused to say whether Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has a connection to al-Qaida, citing the ongoing criminal investigation.

    She confirmed that there was no air marshal on the plane with Abdulmutallab. They are not on every flight.

    Napolitano says that despite Abdulmutallab’s success at getting dangerous chemicals on board the plane, commercial flying is safe.

    She says the United States is reviewing what security measures were used in Amsterdam, where he boarded the flight.

    It wasn’t explosives, just “dangerous” chemicals, no problem.
    And no larger terror plot, but we still don’t know if he was part of a “larger terror plot”. Nothing to see here folks, just move along now….

    I truly don’t know who is more dangerous here, the terrorists who want to kill us or the imbeciles TCO put in charge of our security agencies….!!

  7. puhiawa says:

    Why don’t we start with the assumption that Muslims hate us.

  8. AmericanIPA says:

    “The system worked” is more like “the bomb didn’t”. The mere fact that he made it onto the airplane proves that whatever their “system” consists of didn’t work at all.

    But these statists are the same people who want to bring about lawsuits when anyone–including government agents–do anything at all to prevent a terrorist attack in this country or to it’s citizens. These clowns get upset over the rights of some nutty, America-hating imam being violated because they ask him to maybe lower his voice on the plane as he lights a fuse. But innocent and unsuspecting passengers need to trust in the gub’ment to protect them right? No thanks, we real Americans can do that just fine by ourselves.

    Anyone that still thinks the federal government has the safety of the American people in mind need to have their heads examined. WE HAVE EFFECTIVELY SURRENDERED TO ISLAMIC TERRORISTS.

    • proreason says:

      What these people have realized is that there is no penalty for bald-faced lies in their constituencies.

      To someone who, as Rusty says, possesses “critical thinking”, this lie is so outrageous, that it’s a knee-slapper. PT Barnum wouldn’t dare try it.

      But in the libwit world, one of two things happens:

      1. the only information they get about the world comes directly through the lips of the Messiah, or else from one of their equally igonorant friends.

      2. for the few who have the ability to see through it, they don’t care. They realize Lez Napollitano said it is to reassure the vegetables in the core constituancy.

      Like I said, no downside.

      And they don’t care about the Palinites either. In their minds, Sarah’s followers are irredeemable so there is another plan entirely for them……Obamycare is going to change the demographics of the country in a flash.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

      Well, I also look at it this way. Although I’m very very glad that this terrorist failed in his jeeee-haaad, the day will come when one succeeds and it will be on the heads of Barry der wunderkinder und Frau Neopolitano, the striped and multi-flavored bureaucrat, among others.

      As was pointed out, this occurred while the boy was heading off to the gym during the Meh-hee-kalikky-mah-ha holiday and wasn’t told for some hours after it happened. Kinda gives us the direct indicator of what priority such things take in his divine and mirrored world.

      It reminds me that his priorities are to break this country financially, and any bad thing that happens to us as a result of terrorism is our own fault. He has said so. He figures he’s immune because he has licked their feet clean. But in reality, he’s immune because they need him in office to keep our guard down and to keep less diligent persons in place (pronounced “accomplices”).

      As much as this schmuck of a president loves being on TV and on the air, where’s the statement condemning the act? Or, is it one of those, “let’s not be hasty” routines and “get all the facts”.

      I seem to recall that even Clinton responded with words of condemnation within hours when such events occurred.

      No, the boy’s motives are very, VERY clear to me.

  9. Liberals Demise says:

    “A broken clock is right twice in a 24 hour period!”

    Some one tell the ostrich to pull her head out of Barrys’ fanny. The system worked because it (the bomb) didn’t ignite!! That’s all …. nothing more!!

  10. jobeth says:

    The way I see it is the only “system” that worked was the one where “individuals” knew they couldn’t depend on a government system full of holes to take care of business. As usual..its the passengers who are the saviors…not the government.

    Sad when you know full well that this PC world we live in won’t allow tighter screening of the very people who have been committing these acts of war on us.

    However the poor old white guy in the photo has to indure continual harrassment. Just to prove to a bunch of murderous killers that we aren’t singleing them out.

    Damn it! Single them out!!!! THEY are where these acts of war and terrorism coming from. The old guy just wants to get where he is going.

    All the time Bush was being demonized, this war was “over there’…well we can see…its coming here now.

    Of course we still must bring to trial those evil American special forces who were accused of bloodying a terrorist’s nose. And by all means of course we should take the terrorist’s word over our evil soldiers. We don’t want them to think we are not PC.

    This woman is nuts…as is the rest of the bunch at the WH. Well, maybe not nuts. They know full well what they are doing…so that makes them pure evil in my book.

    From Michigan Live:

    Flight 253 passenger: Sharp-dressed man aided terror suspect Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab onto plane without passport

    By Sheena Harrison | MLive.com

    December 26, 2009

    A Michigan man who was aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253 says he witnessed Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab trying to board the plane in Amsterdam without a passport.

    Kurt Haskell of Newport, Mich., who posted an earlier comment about his experience, talked exclusively with MLive.com and confirmed he was on the flight by sending a picture of his boarding pass. He and his wife, Lori, were returning from a safari in Uganda when they boarded the NWA flight on Friday.

    Haskell said he and his wife were sitting on the ground near their boarding gate in Amsterdam, which is when they saw Mutallab approach the gate with an unidentified man.

    Kurt and Lori Haskell are attorneys with Haskell Law Firm in Taylor. Their expertise includes bankruptcy, family law and estate planning.

    While Mutallab was poorly dressed, his friend was dressed in an expensive suit, Haskell said. He says the suited man asked ticket agents whether Mutallab could board without a passport. “The guy said, ‘He’s from Sudan and we do this all the time.’”

    Mutallab is Nigerian. Haskell believes the man may have been trying to garner sympathy for Mutallab’s lack of documents by portraying him as a Sudanese refugee.

    The ticket agent referred Mutallab and his companion to her manager down the hall, and Haskell didn’t see Mutallab again until after he allegedly tried to detonate an explosive on the plane.

    Haskell said the flight was mostly unremarkable. That was until he heard a flight attendant say she smelled smoke, just after the pilot announced the plane would land in Detroit in 10 minutes. Haskell got out of his seat to view the brewing commotion.

    “I stood up and walked a couple feet ahead to get a closer look, and that’s when I saw the flames,” said Haskell, who sat about seven rows behind Mutallab. “It started to spread pretty quickly. It went up the wall, all the way to ceiling.”

    Haskell, who described Mutallab as a diminutive man who looks like a teenager, said about 30 seconds passed between the first mention of smoke and when Mutallab was subdued by fellow passengers.

    “He didn’t fight back at all. This wasn’t a big skirmish,” Haskell said. “A couple guys jumped on him and hauled him away.”

    The ordeal has Haskell and his wife a little shaken. Flight attendants were screaming during the fire and the pilot sounded notably nervous when bringing the plane in for a landing, he said.

    “Immediately, the pilot came on and said two words: emergency landing,” Haskell said. “And that was it. The plane sped up instead of slowing down. You could tell he floored it.”

    As Mutallab was being led out of the plane in handcuffs, Haskell said he realized that was the same man he saw trying to board the plane in Amsterdam.

    Passengers had to wait about 20 minutes before they were allowed to exit the plane. Haskell said he and other passengers waited about six hours to be interviewed by the FBI.

    About an hour after landing, Haskell said he saw another man being taken into custody. But a spokeswoman from the FBI in Detroit said Mutallab was the only person taken into custody.

    Take this with a grain of salt, as it is report from a fellow passenger.

    Still, if true, how surprising would it be?

    • canary says:

      Steve, Original reports said Amsterdam did not make terrorist go through 2nd screening, this would also show “others” were also involved.

    • GetBackJack says:

      Rule #1 – in any major crime, it’s almost always an inside-job.

      Family member deeply involved in national security issues of Network Security and IT-security tells me that almost all inbound threats are now preventable in his world. What’s far far more difficult, ne’ impossible to guard against are internal threats to the same sort of target.

      As in Mumbai. Ten shooters, but at least 37 others arrested for assisting and giving aid that allowed only ten shooters to kill 150+ and wound 200+. This included at least two policemen in the area and a number of Indian military.

      Back to Rule #1 – crimes like these ALWAYS have an insider component.

      Rule #2 – ALWAYS look to the first harried, rushed reports from the smaller news outlets. These most often are more accurate because those reports have not yet been sanitized and rewritten by the AP and cable news services. Example – eyewitness accounts of multiple shooters at Fort Hood, from Base Commander who then … inexplicably … changed his story. Or, anything from TWA 800 after the FBI got through with rewriting the narrative. And intimidating witnesses.

      Rule #3 – never believe anything until it’s been officially denied.

    The entire administration and Congress of Fools are delusional, at best.

    At worst, they are evil incarnate.

    I am astounded on a daily basis.

    If they did not have the power to destroy America, they would be ignored for the fools they appear to be. However, we are in deep trouble and I fear that they will not go nicely. It is high time some adults of at least average intelligence take charge. Otherwise, things will get very colorful indeed.

  13. VMAN says:

    Can someone please tell me why the old gentleman in the picture above is being examined so closely? Oh wait he’s white, OK, and a male, OK, and over 40, OK, and I’m assuming a US citizen, OK, so he must be a terrorist in the administrations mind.

  14. beautyofreason says:

    A malfunction in a bomb meant to kill 240 people flying on Christmas does not equal “the system worked.”

    The woman in a dangerous moron in a position of authority.

    We’re on our own. The government isn’t doing crap to prevent another terrorist attack. If they tolerated Hasan prior to his jihad spree they will tolerate anyone rather than stir the pot.

    The Obama administration cares about covering tail.

    And this failed suicide bomber spent years in a posh London neighborhood earning a degree among the infidels.

    Just another example of the self-annihilation of the West promoted by political correctness and multiculturalism.

    To tolerate or ignore radical Islam with diversity mantras is a death sentence.

    But the government would rather wand granny and ban breast milk than acknowledge the angry Muslim men who support the destruction of our country.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

      It’s deja-vu all over again.

      You spelled it out plainly, beauty. But for every American who’s fed up with our having to tolerate this garbage, there are at least an equal number who say we mustn’t offend. That’s marginalizing a valid human being or some such crap. The only time a liberal willingly marginalizes people is when they run up against someone who disagrees with them. Then the name-calling begins and so on.

      If this was only 1930. Much of this wouldn’t even be a discussion topic. I’m not saying that racism is a good thing in and of itself but sometimes, it apparently has its place. By that I mean yes, we are intentionally ignoring the obvious. I feel like it’s a Monty Python skit and the citizen is talking to the constable while a robbery is being committed and the citizen is pointing it out but the constable says, “Robbery? Where? I see no robbery. But I DO see that you haven’t got a license for that dog you’re walking….gonna have to cite you for that”.

      We have passed over the sublime and gone warp speed into the ridiculous. Every day, almost every hour now, I find something to shake my head about in disgust. Awe, even.

      Sure, Nappy, just ignore it. It never happened, ok? And if you close your eyes, you suddenly become invisible, did you know that, too?

  15. joeblough says:

    I wouldn’t expend too very much energy on wondering whether Napolitano actually believes what she says. It is extremely unlikely that she believes, or cares what she says as part of her job.

    My favorite part of the selections above was:

    Well, right now we have no indication that it is part of anything larger. Blah, blah … “

    How about an multi-faceted international movement of millions of people, united by related (often identical) ideologies and dedicated to our destruction?

    From Wikipedia

    The Big Lie (German: Große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler in his 1925 autobiography Mein Kampf for a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously”.

  19. canary says:

    My eyes are watering. Brainless insane Napolitano, simply saying what the evil mad man Obama told her to. She was a bizarre pick to begin with.
    Don’t forget Napoloitano had Ft. Hood Hasan working for DHS. Terrorist murderous Hasan was attending her conventions, handing Napoloitano reports, since January 2009 up til his murderous slaughterous rampage against unarmed U.S. Troops on military U.S. soil.

    There had to be some reasons Obama appointed her, and sure isn’t gettingn rid of her.

  20. TheChicagoWay says:

    The “system worked” line only works if the craft was blown up with no survirors. Then DHS can take credit for no additional flights being taken down. (“potential lives saved”, just like “jobs saved”). This is how this woman thinks. She is so immersed in the inter-office politics and CYA moves, that the loss of an airliner is not really material to maintaining the “status quo” and making sure that DHS, under her leadership, is blameless. Her #1 job is keeping her job, that’s it…

  21. joeblough says:

    Oh, just for the record, and very much as might have been expected, Mr. Umar Abdulmutallab, appears to have been very much a part of something larger even in the most restrictive idiotically and misleadingly narrow sense that Napolitano probably intended, i.e. a specific conspiracy.

    Have a look at this item on the Sun:
    COPS fear that 25 British-born Muslims are plotting to bomb Western airliners.

    COPS fear that 25 British-born Muslims are plotting to bomb Western airliners.

    The fanatics, in five groups, are now training at secret terror camps in Yemen.

    It was there London-educated Umar Abdulmutallab, 23, prepared for his Christmas Day bid to blow up a US jet.

    The British extremists in Yemen are in their early 20s and from Bradford, Luton and Leytonstone, East London.

    They are due to return to the UK early in 2010 and will then await internet instructions from al-Qaeda on when to strike.

    A Scotland Yard source said: “The great fear is Abdulmutallab is the first of many ready to attack planes and kill tens of thousands.

    “We know there are four or five radicalised British Muslim cells in the Yemen.

    “They are due back within months when they will be under constant surveillance.”

    The 25 suspects, of Pakistani and Somali descent, were radicalised in UK mosques.

    The chance that DHS doesn’t know about this material? Pretty damn slim, I’d say.

    So don’t worry too much about Napolitano actually believing the crap that she says.

    You can safely bet that she is quite consciously and deliberately lying — to America — right in America’s face.

    I’m not sure that I am so interested in why as I am in what America is going to do about it.

    Oh, and by the way, dont miss the bit where it says “They are due back within months when they will be under constant surveillance.

    Due back !?!?!?

    Surveillance !?!?!?

    The Brits are PLANNING to allow these people back into the country?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    Have they completely lost it?

  22. canary says:

    Oh, Obama chose Napolitano, as she has history of keeping the truth from the public, keeping everything non-transparant, just like Obama.

  23. canary says:

    Napolitano’s experience & expertise will mean: we; the public, will never see the camera footage and results from technology the airports use.

  24. BillK says:

    This is part of the left’s standard discounting of threats.

    Remember the men who planned to destroy the Sears Tower were no threat as they had no ability to carry out the attack.

    The plans to attack Fort Dix? Why, there was no sign of al Qaeda involvement.

    Plans to attack Quantico? Same thing.

    Ft. Hood? Lone, crazed individual who couldn’t handle the stress of treating soldiers who had returned from Iraq and Afghanistan, that’s all.

    This guy? No sign of being part of a greater plan, of course. Just like the passenger sick with “food poisioning” during Sunday’s incident.

    As I’ve said, had we stopped Atta and friends on 9/11, their “plans” to hijack planes with box cutters would have been fodder for Leno, Letterman and Saturday Night Live.

    Everything’s a humorous “threat” with “no chance of success” – unti it succeeds.

    This isn’t new – most thought there was no chance Pearl Harbor would be attacked, either.

    Napolitano’s statement should be treated the way Bush’s “You’re doing a great job, Brownie” was treated by the left – but it will be conventiently spiked by the MSM and poo-poohed into insignificance.

  25. canary says:

    “I would say we dropped the ball,” said Peter King, the senior Republican on the House of Representatives homeland security committee, who claimed that although Mutallab was not on a “no-fly” list of suspected terrorists he was known to authorities. “My understanding is… he does have al-Qaida connections, certainly extremist terrorist connections, and his name popped up pretty quickly.” according to Guardian co.UK

    Jamie Doward The Observer, 27 Dec 2009
    ‘What are you doing? What are you doing?’ ” said passenger Elias Fawaz. “We looked back and there was a struggle – and we saw fumes and fire coming out.”

    said Richelle Keepman, another passenger. “…screams and some flight attendants ran up and down the aisles. We saw the fear in their eyes and they grabbed the fire extinguishers.”

    The suspected terrorist was said to have been yelling and swearing and “screaming about Afghanistan”.

    said Jasper Schuringa, … “… there were flames coming from beneath his legs,” he said.

    Melinda Dennis. “They required a fire extinguisher as well as water to put it out….”

    Family friends say Mutallab apparently became radicalised during his time at the British International School in Lome, Togo. At the school, he was known for preaching about Islam. He later grew estranged from his family and relocated to Dubai, before moving to London.

    ~~~Kieran Daly, an aviation expert, said: “The latest incident shows that would-be terrorists are having to resort to trying to get very small devices on board planes.
    Thanks to increased security, the sort of devices are now not big enough to actually bring down a plane.”~~~~
    Aviation expert Kieran Daly says the attack proves airlines are safe. It’s all about $.
    • Perdido says:
      That chemical, properly metered, needs less than 100 grams to blow the hell out of an automobile. If he had been an A student in his studies he could have taken that plane down.
  26. The system worked – but not the way Neopolitano means. Richard Reed (the shoe bomber) and the crotch bomber’s attempts were not successful for two reasons: the guys were idiots and the passengers reacted.
    Now in breath-taking show of closing-the-barn-door-after-the-horse-has-escaped, every granny and grand-pa are going to have their underwear searched – Incredible over reaction to a non-event. To my knowleged Home Land Security has never foiled a single attack. There was a young father shot down in Miami when he paniced and tried to get off a plane (after he cleared security). More than a few passengers have been handcuffed and hauled off for trying to make it to the head during the forbidden 30 minutes before landing at Washington National. Hundreds have been corraled for being drunk on flights – they used to be part of the entertainment. If even one sky marshall or gate search has stopped one real plot, I have not read about it.
    So, an engineering student could not figure out how to detonate a bomb to bring down an airplane. What an idiot! If they would spend some time in chemistry lab instead of washing and praying five times a day, memorizing the Qu’ran, visiting Mecca they might actually be dangerous. What we have here is an idiot who has eliminated himself from the gene pool (Allah be praised). Turn him loose tomorrow.
    The only solution to the problems of this country is to evict these delusional criminals from power with force and conviction, and to then implement a system that enforces the Constitution in perpetuity.
    We literally need a movement with the same commitment as the American Revolution. The vile insidious traitors have wormed their way so deeply into the fabric of society that nothing short of 100% commitment is enough.
    The #1 national priority has to be to root the traitors out and completely destroy them and their means forever. It has to be a priority higher than National Security, higher than justice, higher than life. Unless we do it, there will be no security, no justice and no life.
By this I refer to the Liberal robber gangs and totalitarians who already control most of the apparatus of government, the courts of law, the media, schools, and other institutions. And now they have seized control of the American economy, and are in process of destroying it.
      As things now stand, the al Qaeda terrorists could all move to the sidelines, take a breather, and watch the West self-destruct under the governance of Nerobama and his gang.
      Because Liberal vampires are sucking the marrow right out of the bones of America.
      They have done more damage to America in one year than the Soviet Union was able to do in seventy years.
      The time for tea parties is past.
      Makes perfect sense to me, howerver she has always been out of context…of reality.
      People like her remind me of an ugly woman who is chatted up by the cute guy…and will do anything for him, just so she can stay under his power.
      I wonder if she just lays awake at night thinking how important she must be now that she hooked up with “The One”
      Must make her giddy with excitement…she has nothing else going for her.
      She should realize that he NEEDs a stupid a** like her in place to get his agenda done.
      absolutely. Nerobama probably did more damage in one WEEK than the Soviet Union was able to do in seventy years.
      And include in that the damage from Terrorism, which is a lot more substantial than people think, if you count the innumerable impositions on liberty we now have to endure to thrwart the thugs, even though they don’t work.
    make no mistake- JaNo and the entire Obeyme administration are not stupid or incompetent. this is by design. they believe (apparently rightfully so) that if the American people are foolish enough to elect them, then we are dumb enough to believe the drivel they spew. they have willing accomplices in the msm. so any utterance becomes mantra, becomes TRUTH.
    Petronius is correct in his assesment that islamofscists could (generally) move to the sidelines and watch us implode. however, they will always keep their hand in the game with an occasional attack. obeyme doesn’t mind. the magician always needs a distraction of sorts (like a flash and a puff of smoke) somewhere in his routine to keep the audiences guessing….
    as long as we believe there is a more important external threat (bad guys out there), the internal malignancy grows untended.
    the revolutionary war was fought over less government intrusion than we currently accept as routine. we need to totally clean house next few elections. there aren’t a handful of sens or reps that aren’t dirty.
    keep your hope and change, I’ll take the torch and fork
    (I think I’ll make that a t-shirt)
