"Do you know <em>where</em> the researchers found significant clusters of this particular brain disease"? he asked the audience. "The Middle East" he said. According to the data he was reading from, the Middle East is a concentrated region of the disease because of the many, many generations of inbreeding in that region. I always remember that little tidbit when I hear of cases like this above.
