NBC Blames Race Relations Decline On GZ Verdict

From NBC News:

America’s race relations take hit after Zimmerman verdict, NBC News/WSJ poll finds

By Mark Murray | July 24, 2013

In the wake of the George Zimmerman case, U.S. views of race relations have taken a hit, and one-third of Americans say his acquittal in the death of Trayvon Martin has shaken their confidence in the legal system, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll…

52 percent of adults questioned said race relations in the U.S. are “very good” or “fairly good,” down from more than 70 percent who said that in NBC/WSJ polls between 2009 and 2011.

54 percent agree with the statement that America is a nation where people are not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character – down from 60 percent in 2009 and 2010…

The poll was conducted after a Florida jury found Zimmerman, 29, who is of white and of Hispanic descent, not guilty of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Martin, 17, who was black. Zimmerman said he shot Martin, who was unarmed, in self-defense and his lawyers have said race played no role…

It seems to us that the implications in the articles’ headline and the lead paragraphs are false. We are told that the beginning of the decline dates back to 2011. Which is when the 2012 Presidential campaign began to kick off in earnest. It’s also when Obama and Holder began cross-cross the country claiming that the Republicans suppressing minority voters.

In fact, Obama’s 2012 campaign was far more racially divisive than his first campaign. And Obama has been even more racially divisive since being re-elected. So why couldn’t that have something to do with the decline in race relations? Maybe even more than the Zimmerman verdict.

Lest we forget, Obama promised a post-racial America if he was elected. But just like in every other part of his agenda, Obama promised one thing while doing another.

Instead of bringing the country together on race, he has done everything possible to drive us apart. His actions in the Trayvon case being just the latest example.

  1. Obama is just stirring the stink and he’s using Holder as the spoon.

Newsflash: Holder’s gives the SCOTUS the finger and says he’s going to ask a federal judge to give him the power to oversee Texas, and other red southern states, elections despite the latest SCOTUS ruling making that part of the civil rights act null and void.

These people never know when to quit.

  2. Liberals Demise

This coming from the same network who twisted the 911 call to make Z’man look racist.
    What a group of R tards…..nbc.
