Newsweek Hires Howard Dean’s Stooge Kos
From the cesspit known as the Daily Kos:
Newsweek press release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Tuesday, November 13, 2007MARKOS MOULITSAS, FOUNDER AND PUBLISHER OF DAILYKOS.COM,
TO BECOME NEWSWEEK CONTRIBUTOR FOR 2008 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGNNew York — Markos Moulitsas, the founder and publisher of dailykos.com, will become a Newsweek contributor for the 2008 presidential campaign, offering occasional opinion pieces to the pages of the magazine and to Newsweek.com.
“We have always sought to represent a diversity of views in Newsweek, and we think Markos will be a great part of that tradition,” said Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham. “He will give our readers in print and online a unique perspective. As always, our job is to create the most energetic and illuminating magazine possible, and Markos will help us do that as the campaign unfolds.”
The weasel himself adds:
Yeah, there’s a lot of heads exploding in wingnutlandia today over this bit of news. But Newsweek is “balancing” me out with someone that should make heads on our side explode. Announcement on that name is still a couple of days off.
Yes, it’s all about striking the right balance — and diversity.
“We have always sought to represent a diversity of views in Newsweek, and we think Markos will be a great part of that tradition,” said Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham.
Lest we forget, Mr. Moulitsas was a longtime paid stooge of (then Democrat candidate) Howard Dean:
On Dean’s campaign, we paid Markos and Jerome Armstrong as consultants, largely in order to ensure that they said positive things about Dean. We paid them over twice as much as we paid two staffers of similar backgrounds, and they had several other clients.
A minor detail this weasel was finally forced to admit to his duped readers.
And of course Mr. “Screw ‘Em” Moulitsas hates this country with a passion, despite the fact his communist parents from El Salvador found shelter here (probably illegally).
But Newsweek must have its “diversity.” And surely he brings a “unique perspective,” not to mention trenchant analysis.
Who can forget this brilliant example of Mr. Moulitsas’s pensées:
Mr. Moulitsas was talking about four American “merceneries” [sic] who had been helping to deliver food in Fallujah.
That is, before they were beaten with shovels, burned to death, then mutilated, dragged through the streets and finally hung up on display for their good deeds:
Yes, Newsweek needs more of his kind of insights for sure. They need another America-hater balance out their overweening patriotism.
Moreover, lest we forget, this is the self-same DNC lackey who banned the erstwhile sainted Cindy Sheehan from his site once she had the temerity to run against the Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi:
But he’s not a lickspittle Democrat apparatchnik. Not much.
Still, one wonders if his salary is going to be reported to the FEC as yet another political contribution in kind to the DNC?
Or is Newsweek’s entire budget already reported as such?
