I too was going to make a not-very-good joke about waking up many a morning back in my college days in the same sorry state as the guy in the top picture but that picture of Nick Berg’s body froze me…why have I never seen it before? Alas for us all, I know very well what the answer to that question is.

The first photo looks as harmless as a frat boy initiation trick. No long-term harm, no foul. Bet fraternities do far worse despite many colleges and universities having “no hazing rules.”

And, lest we forget, the barbarians who slaughtered Mr. Berg claimed that they did it in retaliation for the ‘abuses’ at Abu Ghraib.

But of course we know that was a lie. They decapitated prisoners countless times before and countless times since.

I’m sitting here watching Beck right now and his show is in alignment with our conversation.

You’ve heard about the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Well I’m thinking that Obalmy is reaching that point very fast.

Let’s just hope the ostriches are beginning to raise their little heads and see what we have been watching. We are going to need all we can get to secure our freedoms.

Beck is talking about state’s rights today. A lot of our problems can be solved if we can secure those state’s rights. We have all but let them slip completely away.

Those of us who realize that we have will never be the ones who lay down and give up. Freedom has a price and many of our countrymen have paid the largest price. We also have to expect to pay a price for our freedoms. I for one, as with others that post here are more than willing to do what it takes.

And as we do we WiLL come back as you say.

Some must be smacked in the face themselves before they can “feel the pain” but as Beck said today…all of us are on the government’s list. It’s just some can see it before others.

Minnesota they look staged to me too. While he understand anything Obama announces, he is doing the opposite.
Looks like some light bondage, not as bad as the gay circle sex. But, in the west when youth go out of their way to make shocking snaps. Prehaps reality tv or movie in process photos. Maybe new porno thinking of new plots.
No bondage ties, pink cusion under the legs, which are cut in the photo, so no ties. Hands are not handcuffed. Looks like a “medical bracelet”.

No bruises, no marks, no cuts, no broken bones, no marks to show handcuffs.
On the remote possibility this is denying the head choppers to be covered, by uncovering them to torture them. They have it better than beinig covered in stones. Many American troops training is buried to their heads, or placed in
hot boxes, go without water, and it’s obvious the man in the photo has a nice energy drink at hand.

There have been some posts lately about negativity (not the above quote so much, but, like many, it does contain a hint of despair, which I think we all feel fron the 48×7 assault on our way of life)

I don’t think a single person who posts here is negative. Opposing and decrying tyranny is not negative.

The sweep of history leads to freedom, not the reverse.

Life is full of setbacks and that will never end. This odious criminal cabal has siezed a moment, but history has not ended.

People who want to be free have always overcome the forces that seek to enslave them and we always will.

And it won’t take that long either. They were ascendent in 1964 and claimed it would last forever. We came back. They were ascendent in 1976 and claimed it was forever, We came back. They were ascendent in 1992 and claimed conservatism was dead. We came back. They are ascendent in 2009.

We will come back.

Wardmama, when Tucker and Menchaca were found my husband had the honor to guard their bodies until the teams could come in and take care of the booby traps that had been set up around their bodies. He told me some of what happened (we never heard anything about this in the news, just that they were found) to them and prayed that their suffering was short although he doubted it and prayed that they were at peace. It’s disgusting.
