North Korea Sinks A South Korean Ship

From the Wall Street Journal:

South Korean Ship Sinks; Rescue Effort Launched

March 26, 2010

SEOUL—A South Korean naval ship sank following an explosion near a disputed maritime border with North Korea in the Yellow Sea late Friday, prompting a rescue mission to save the 104 sailors aboard.

A short time later, a second naval ship later fired shots at an unidentified vessel, according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, adding that it had rescued about 58 sailors so far.

Early Saturday, South Korea’s KBS-TV broadcast pictures of rescue ships and helicopters in close proximity to each other. Darkness made it difficult for viewers to determine the scene but there was no apparent sign of a ship above water.

Defense officials were trying to determine what caused the explosion, which occurred about 10:45 p.m. local time. South Korean TV reports speculated the ship was struck by a torpedo, though there was no official word about what happened…

Yet another feather in Mr. Obama’s diplomatic cap.

Speaking of which, isn’t it wonderful how our good friends, the Chi-Coms are helping us all around the world?

And as the Washington Post is reporting the incident –

“The sinking comes as the impoverished North has become increasingly frustrated by its wealthy neighbor, which has given the cold-shoulder to recent attempts to reopen a lucrative tourist business on the northern side of the Cold War’s last frontier.”

The mad midget is lookin’ for an ass whoopin’.

You better get your whoopin’ stick ready ROP, because there is zero chance the Moron is going to do anything about this.

I was thinking of the South Koreans. I knew some of the ROK Marines when I was in the Army and they are some mean sumsabitches. I think he is underestimating the “weak, imperial lackey running dogs” in the south.

I have no faith at all that Barry the Bozo would lift a finger. He would probably run to the UN and cry for them to make the bad man stop.

Hypothetically, if he did push the button and took out a significant section of Seoul would Obama hold to the mutual defense treaty? I think we might, at most, see blockades and negotiations for Kim to step down (and possible face trial) but I don’t think Obama would commit (more) troops.

If Afghanistan is any indication, you can easily assess that the big zero is a fish outta water when it comes to things like this. Remember, it is primarily democrats that eventually bring this nation into wars. The exceptions have been Gulf War I and II and the Afghanistan debacle. I refer to it as a “debacle” because that’s what the big zero has turned it into.

Now, if we run into WW III, which I see as likely, we are at a distinct disadvantage. We have technical superiority on many fronts but not the manpower to spool up and fight a multi-front war. And, several million Americans will move to Canada, bringing their gameboys and iPods with them.

So, that leaves the rest of the tail-end of the baby-boomers…the young who cannot get out of here fast enough (and have no desire to fight anything beyond the end of a game controller) and the reservists. Hurray for us.

Without trying to sound defeatist….I’m prepared for a thorough thumping. I just wonder if I need to start learning to speak Chinese or Russian.

All kidding aside, this administration, faced with these escalating issues, will mishandle, misunderstand, mis-assess, miss-everything that CAN be missed.

However, once the world sees that the United States can’t be turned to for protection like they do EVERY SINGLE TIME, then maybe they’ll wake up and have some epiphanies of their own. To that I’ll say, “bout time”.

I’d bet the farm that our former allies are scrambling right now to find their new mammas.

But they are waiting for November. If the Repubs don’t take the House, the tectonic plates will shift within 6 months. If the House is taken back, it will be a strong indication that the moron’s house of cards will fall in 2012, and you won’t see much movement…..other than the godless Europeans beginnning to pray, and Netanyahu taking action to protect his country from the barbarians.

By the way, I also expect that the Moron has threatened to attack the Israelis, but that won’t stop them from acting. They know the Moron is a bet-wetting wimp and that if he attacks Israel, he’s a deposed kinglette.

And a slimy, Chicago-thug politician in the White House.

Any attack on South Korea will endanger the lives of about 32,000 of America best. Even Obama fearless CIC that he could not let it pass. If he did there maybe more than spitting and name calling going on.
