Soooo true and to the VERY point of the matter.

The sidewalk vendors at least PAY their taxes.....something which seems to allude the stiffies in the White Dormatory!!

This guy is obviously a racist. boycott his columns:

"Obama has nearly a trillion dollars to pass out now to “fix” the economy and no one is bothering to ask the question “what qualifies Obama to fix the economy, and if merely spending money fixes it, then the economy shouldn’t be broken should it?” What experience does Obama have at fixing anything? He has never run a state, city, company or even a hotdog stand. The sidewalk vendors on the mall outside the White House have more business experience than Obama. Not that anyone would know that since the liberal media utterly ignored this lack of experience during the campaign and still failed to mention it while he was holding the economy hostage to get his $787 billion. "

"If it was really necessary to bum-rush the largest spending bill in history through Congress, why wasn’t Obama standing by to sign it as soon as it passed instead of jetting off to his three day weekend in Chicago to be seen in all the trendy spots? Is it because saving the nation from economic disaster interfered with his social schedule? It’s because to Obama it is just all political theater, the words mean nothing -- it’s all part of the show. That is how he is able to tell you one day how America is going to be over soon if he doesn’t get nearly a trillion dollars to hand out and then go out on an excursion the next, using our Air Force and Marine Corps equipment as his personal amusement park rides. "

"The long march from lean liberty to fat slavery is now at a full gallop. This isn’t the change that productive Americans voted for. "

I think Holder needs to get right on this Congress man, he doesn't seem to be promoting racial harmony!!

I think Holder needs to dismantle the Black Congressional Congress - excuse me but aren't these people supposed to represent all constituents?

There is a significant Nazi party active in America, that does not call itself by that name.

And it is subscribed to by black folks.

The preoccupation with race is there, as is the socialism, as is the revanchist intent to seize wealth that they feel was stolen from their antecedents.

Most of the Nazi ideology and policies are present.

Only a few details and the appearance of the participants has changed.

I think they'll probably be getting more prominent in the media over the coming years.

Barbie and ProReason were commenting just yesterday about race relations being set back 30 years (in response to Holder's comments).

And indeed, it seems that's being accomplished .. being propelled .. on a daily basis from these folks. Sad.

I think they're just pissed because Aunt Jemimah changed its name to "Mrs Butterworth"

Probably a racist move, to be sure.

Honestly, all the lessons I learned when I was in grade school, taught to me by my parents and oh-so-wise grandparents. "jumping on the bandwagon" was the phrase then as it is now. Along with "coming out of the woodwork" and "pulpit-jumping" a lesser known phrase.

Seems to me that we suffer from a distinct lack of wisdom, along with a huge desire to be heard, if nor no other reason, than to be heard. If it involves a "cause"; No matter how weak, overplayed, worn out, rag-torn, etc, then so much the better.

I said it some time ago. It's easy to be angry. And especially easy if you're black. Perhaps I'm missing something here but after literally decades of trying to smooth the waters and make it all better, there are still those angry. About what? They can't have a Cadillac? Can't have a mansion?

I haven't oppressed anyone in at least...oh...the past 47 years that I know of. And it'll be 48 come August. When a black person tells me "You just don't understand" I have to admit it, they're right. But somehow the fact that I worked, got way-laid occasionally, had people try to stop me, trip me, treat me badly, etc....I can only now say, with complete understanding that it must have been because of my Anglo roots. Something about that just makes people hate me and want to do bad things to me.

For the blacks in the audience: Note history...and I'm talking objective history here...not liberal, stick-to-your-fingers history....

From the dawn of civilization up through today, people have enslaved other people. Not just people of different races. People of the same genealogy, even the same bloodline/family. It continues to this day in Haiti. Why haven't Al and Jesse gone there to try to fight a REAL problem instead of the perceived problem here? If they are about "equality"...why are they not jumping on a jet to try to fix the problem there.

And finally, if Martin Luther King, Jr. was alive today, do you think HE'd be heading down to Haiti or wasting his time with monkey cartoons?

I think that even the brilliant S&L community is missing something here. I had never heard of 'Juneteenth" until I lived in Texas. At that time, (20 years ago) it was coustomary for employers to give black employees the day off. I never heard of it again until a year ago, when the local NAACP chapter hosted a "Juneteeth Day Dinner". I live 1100 miles north of the Red River. Clyburn is from South Carolina.

Well, here comes another "Support the Holiday or Your a Racistt" movement. I guess that having MLK day and Black History Month in the winter, America must be reminded "what a downright mean country" it is in the summer. http://www.juneteenth.com/

He doesn't know that much history or he would know the Emancipation Proclamation freed no slaves. The legislation freed the slaves in states that were currently in rebellion, which had no legal standing in those states that were at the time their own sovereign nation. It would be a kin to congress passing a bill allowing freedom of religion in Saudi Arabia, purely political with no way of enforcement. In fact, the Emancipation Proclamation was a political move meant to keep the French from allying with the South. The only thing that ended slavery and freed anyone was the thirteenth amendment.

Funny you should mention that 1st. For the first time in my life, I'm going to do something racist. I am waiting for my landscaper to arrive at the house to replace my irrigation system, add some mowing edge, re-seed the yard, mulch, do some rock work, etc. And the first thing I'm going to tell him is 'No black workers.' Of course, I keed, I keed! The landscaper is white and his crew is entirely Mexican - some of the hardest working young men I've ever seen.

What did President Fox say that time?
