Now Trumka Wants A Waiver From Obama-Care

From an irony proof reporter at The Hill:

Trumka: ‘Mistakes’ made in ObamaCare

By Kevin Bogardus | August 29, 2013

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka on Thursday said “mistakes” were made in the writing of ObamaCare.

He not only looks like a fat Nixon, he sounds like one.

“It still needs to be tweaked,” said Trumka, who pointed to the possibility that union members will lose their health insurance because of the inability of some union plans to qualify for federal tax subsidies.

“ObamaCare is a major step in the right direction but yeah, I said, we made some mistakes,” Trumka told reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast.

Maybe this gentleman should have have asked some kind person to read him the Obama-Care bill before demanding that Congress pass it. And before sending out his thugs to threaten to beat people up over it.

“We have been working with the administration to find solutions to the inadvertent holes in the act,” Trumka said. “We are working to try solve problems, just like they tried to solve problems with employers, with large business and small business groups.”

He compared labor’s effort to win concessions on the health plans to business’s successful effort to convince the law’s mandate that certain employers offer health insurance for a year.

We will translate The Hill’s gobbledygook: Mr. Trumka wants a waiver for his union pals. And  he wants the penalties to be delayed until he can get those waivers.

Labor angst over ObamaCare has grown, with several unions lobbying the administration to fix the law so that union “Taft-Hartley” healthcare plans qualify for tax subsidies.

Without that change, labor believes their members could lose their health coverage and be forced onto the ObamaCare insurance exchanges, which are set to open this October.

Unions are also worried that the law allows employers to not provide healthcare coverage to workers who work less than 30 hours per week. Trumka said companies could cut down on their employees’ work schedules to avoid providing health benefits.

“So that’s something that needs to be addressed. Is that an issue? Yeah, that’s an issue,” Trumka said.

Once again, Mr. Trumka is probably the last person in America to figure this out. — So why should we or his members listen to what he has to say about amnesty?

“union members will lose their health insurance because of the inability of some union plans to qualify for federal tax subsidies.”

Why would they lose their plan because it wouldn’t be subsidized? Why can’t they just pay for it with their hard-earned union largess? In reality, he and his union goons are mad they are not going to get a federal handout when all of Obama’s other loyal minions are getting a free lunch. Wealth envy, even over the crumbs from the government, is all these Marxist know.

This is just heartbreaking, but long overdue. These thugs should have to live in the cesspool they’ve helped create.

At a once upon a time annual Mitchell Day Parade, the coming up through the ranks Trumka was in attendence as local president. Working the crowd, he came up to my Black Lung retired coal miner father that was wearing his cap embalzoned with the local number and a pin designating 50 years in the shafts ..or being given the shaft and said, ” I like your hat”
My father, one of the originals that fought for the rights of workers in the 30’s looked him in the eye and said, “I worked for a living, not like you.” Trumka, now TRUMP-KA, slithered off without a word.
Wish he would repeat the slink away from the scene now.

You don’t get it. The ruling elitist see putting up with their subjects’ insults as their sacrifice for the greater good. Hell! Schumer gets blasted every St Patricks Day Parade and he keeps showing up like a canker sore.
