Now We Are Supposed To Thank Obama

Apparently we are now all expected to thank Mr. Obama and the Democrats for all they have done for us.

Here is an email going out to everyone in the massive Obama database:

Thank you, sirs (and madams)!

May we have another?

(Thanks to Colonel1961 for the heads up.)

A pork bill that can kill us.

  2. annabetsy says:

What do you think would have happened if President Bush would have put up a website where people could have thanked him for keeping us safe for the last 7 years? An actual truth.

  3. bill says:

Acting President Obama is just letting you know everything he says comes with an expiration date of 12:00 AM.

  4. proreason says:

    More government waste.

They sould just publish poll results and some made-up bs calls about how the public overwhelmingly supports the Depression Stimulus.

And they should stop letting the stock exchanges publish daily results. The Moron’s administration should publish the daily results each afternoon. The Dow would double in a few weeks.

  5. Howard Roark says:

This is just the way the Hitler Youth would have started if der Furer were in charge today. He would bombard the kids on kid-friendly sites, similar to how he’s mass emailing near-childrenlike adults who voted for him.

And to answer your question, annabetsy, it would have been used to portray the Bush Administration as a cravenous, Stalinist, tyranny that put “big brother” websites all over the net, used to both indoctrinate us and spy on us.

  6. wardmama4 says:

I have this creepy feeling that this is the precursor of the ‘report your neighbor’ website.

I wrote to my Senator (the R one) to Thank Him for walking out of Senator Reid’s ‘bi-partisan’ meeting and for voting NO on the Generational Theft Act. I also know that as par the course – should I actually write that I Thanked my Senator for his No vote – the Dems would just purge it out of the system. Can’t have any dissent against The One ™.

Did you hear that there is an ad on PSMBC, ABC, CNBC and of course TV guide channel encouraging the freeloaders disadvantaged to get their free (and not pay-backable) grants?

This guy is going to kill America before the first 1000 days.

Don’t forget the Chicago (and where-ever you are) Tea Party is Friday Feb 27th 12 noon to 1PM – I shall be in the belly of the beast (Washington DC) – and will be taking tea with me.

There have been ads on S&L to that effect since Obama ascended.

Such as this ad currently in the sidebar:

And at the bottom of the page:

Is this true? If I can get some info, I can probably make it to DC on the 27th.

    • wardmama4 says:

I think that Michelle Malkin is the one who listed it first (of course it could always be S & L too). I will just so happen to be in DC on Friday – so hopefully I can share some tea (or spill it) with like minded people.

    • GuppyNblue says:

Much appreciated. I just found it via Michelle’s site. Apparently there’s a host of good people coming to DC this week.

I’ll be the one whistling Dixie.

  7. jcrue says:

astroturfing – a sign your people are sheep and can’t think for themselves.

  8. Next we shall see pictures of our Fuhrer smiling benevolently upon the blessed citizens of the USSA from every street corner. There can be no question there will be statues soon enough.. In fact there might even be a building named for him already in some of the aid requests..

WHICH by the way.. are becoming available for public inspection.. I have posted a link to Michigan’s 1300 page boondoggle on my blog, and will be searching for additional state’s examples. If you happen to cruise that way.. take a deep breath and sit down first, as it is not only public institutions, but privately held firms looking to “cash in,” and as I pointed out.. My disappointment with a friend who I have long considered incapable of asking for such a government grant.. sigh..

    • catie says:

Jason, great to see you here. There actually is some school in NYC I believe that changed it’s name from something else to B. Hussein Obama ES. Our Dear Leader is certainly proud and perhaps the Belle is too.
      Very scary is it not?

    • Right of the People says:

I thought you had to be dead before they named a public building after you.

Wishful thinking. I’m still waiting for my full tank of gas and my house payments to come through.

    • Catie.. Glad to be here. I just am not posting anything unless I feel it really adds to the conversation. From what I have seen there are plenty of folks here who have totally got it going on, and are doing fine work. Just trying to keep a low profile, and maybe keep something Mr Nope-n-Change lacks.. humility.

      And yes.. scary..

  9. VMAN says:

I guess if we’re going to thank anyone we should thank the dems in the house that voted against the porkulus bill. These brave souls standing in bi-partisanship to set aside their differences and vote for America. I had to laugh as I was watching an interview with Harry Reid on CNBC this morning. Reid praised the idiot republicans who voted for the porkulus bill but not one question was asked about the dems that voted against it. So much for unbiased journalism.

  10. Confucius says:

    I don’t get it.

Obama got what he wanted. The bill was never in jeopardy of failing.

So, what is this about? Could this be a way of keeping his minions thinking they’re relevant?

    • bill says:

Yes, the Acting President Obama is trying to figure out who will respond.

Has a sitting US President, that would be the President of all the people RIGHT, ever had the need for his own lobbying group? I know the Fascist FDR played fast and loose with the unions, but at least that came with a little bit of deniable culpability.

  11. Gary says:

This is absolutely creepy as hell. Now I see why Algore invented the Internet. And we thought he was dumb as a tree.

Bets on how long until this site is categorized as “hate”, and ordered blocked from our innocent eyes by the new “Office of Internet Affairs”.

  12. Kilmeny says:

I love how we get a script included for the proper way to speak to our Godlike Congresspeople. Because simply letting loose with an impromptu, expletive-laden rant to the effect of calling them money-sucking, soulless, power-mad scum would just be so, so…crass.

  13. Colonel1961 says:

My ‘favorite’ line: ‘There will be plenty more ways for you to contribute in the weeks and months ahead.’

What the heck does that mean? Money? Ammo? Break-ins? Shake-downs? Protest marches? Rather ominous…

  14. Enthalpy says:

Do we thank him for what he’s done for us or to us?

  15. brad says:

Yes, thanking people in which the voters did all the work, raised all the money to get them elected.
Once elected, they get a cushy job, best benefits in America, great pay, and the power of 1 vote for millions in a district.

We are supposed to thank them for doing what they are supposed to do anyway.

These people truly are our masters, not public servants.

  16. GetBackJack says:

I’m supposed to thank Obama for this?
    http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~hpcws/MaoEconomicStalinization.JPG Sound familiar?

Obama is just the newest full-color version of a well rehearsed propaganda

For which my only Thank You involves 2,200 feet per second.

  17. artboyusa says:

Well, old whatshisname (the one who’s name was next to Palin’s on the ballot. You know – whatshisface – the one who didn’t really want to be president after all) had a post-election website where we could all thank him for the great “campaign” he ran. I left a few comments for him on it but, curiously, he never got back to say “You’re welcome”…

  18. sheehanjihad says:

The “thank your dear leader” website is twofold…it is one of the many ways the new badministration can track the usual blind sheep followers drooling over their new messiah, but in a more nefarious manner, anyone who glibly sends a negative message will have their IP address added to the every burgeoning database of “dissenters”, and will be dealt with in the future when it comes time for the “selection process” being carried out by the newly formed “Civilian Security Force” that everyone still doesnt believe can happen here. Dont bet your life on it.

  19. Helena says:

How long before the schoolkids (hell, all of us) have to sing “We Are the Happiest” like they sing to Kim Jong Il in North Korea?

    • Flession says:

      Give it a year.

And I say that with a sense of optimism.

    • Confucius says:

      They are already are.

Some weeks ago, one of the national radio talk-show hosts played a tape in which school kids were singing a song praising Obama. The song was written by some Hollywood glitterati.

  20. proreason says:

Small stocks, as measured by the Russell 2000 are now down 53.5% for their high in July 2007.

I wonder how small business people are thanking The Moron today.

  21. Bronson says:

Thank you Mr. President for selling the U.S. to China: Doma Obligato — Doh Jeh!

    • sheehanjihad says:

Domo arigato is Japanese….Xie Xie is Chinese. Does anyone remember the warning of the “Yellow Peril” from the 50’s? We didnt even get to defend ourselves……

    • Liberals Demise says:

Here’s my thanks to the “O” Hole

  22. GL0120 says:

I get an eerie feeling when I hear the lyrics to an old song called “Sunshine Go Away” by Jonathon Edwards.

    Sunshine go away today
I don’t feel much like dancing
Some man’s gone, he’s tried to run my life
    Don’t know what he’s asking

He tells me I’d better get in line
    Can’t hear what he’s saying
When I grow up I’m going to make it mine
But these aren’t dues I been paying

How much does it cost, I’ll buy it
The time is all we’ve lost, I’ll try it
But he can’t even run his own life
I’ll be damned if he’ll run mine, Sunshine

    Sunshine go away today
I don’t feel much like dancing
Some man’s gone he’s tried to run my life
    Don’t know what he’s asking

Working starts to make me wonder where
The fruits of what I do are going
He says in love and war all is fair
But he’s got cards he ain’t showing

The man being described simply has to be Obama!
