I love my jungle boots (though I didn’t get them in ‘Nam) and still wear them occasionally.

There are probably millions of Americans with more character and understanding than any Kennedy. But we don’t elect people based on that antiquated nonsense anymore.
One of the finest souls I know is the daughter of an Air Force Lt. Col. John E. Kennedy, who was a valuable planner in the Son Tay raid in N. Veitnam. There was a Kennedy (no relation to the blue-bloods) with real, genuine character.

Sorry to disagree with the article, but it’s pretty clear that Caroline Kennedy was Paterson’s choice.

Take a look at all the pro-Kennedy media chatter–”How could Paterson insult the Kennedys?” “How could Paterson insult Obama?”

Well, if I were Paterson and had chosen another candidate, I’d have praised God that the Princess pulled out of her own volition. I WOULD NOT ask her to take another 24 hours to reconsider, only to dump her on the sidewalk the next evening.

Hey! But that’s just me.

caligirl, that was the first thing I thought when I saw her pic. Holy moley, she looks old! I think she’s younger than me, and I KNOW I don’t look that wrinkly and scowly. I guess using sunscreen every day really does make a difference!

Those are some serious scowl lines there … there is a 365 day age difference between Caroline and I, and I sure don’t look as old as she does. Too much outdoor time at Hyannis Port or at the Florida compound? No way she’d have done bad things to make her skin age so horribly! *sarcasm*

At least the “nanny” issue doesn’t appear to be due to immigration issues. But not having worker’s compensation on an employee is really no laughing matter… unless the princess decided to be self-insured and pay whatever medical costs the nanny incurred as part of her job.

You know, if Caroline’s personal reasons included worry about her uncle’s health, there is nothing wrong with that. Of course Uncle Ted’s camp is denying that his health is worsening…

And look at the princess’s face. For a gazillionaire who has led a life of ease without a worry to her name, she looks 70+. Why might that be? Certainly, a good liberal and mommy like herself would never have indulged in tobacco, alchohol or drugs.
