NYT: Noble Obama Has Not Punished Netanyahu

From an always angling New York Times:

Obama, Showing Support for Israel, Gains New Leverage Over Netanyahu

By HELENE COOPER and MARK LANDLER | November 20, 2012

WASHINGTON — In the fractious relationship between President Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, the shoe may have just shifted to the other foot.

After more than a year of Mr. Obama needing — and not getting — much support from his Israeli counterpart in his efforts to woo American Jewish voters at home ahead of his re-election, it is now Mr. Netanyahu, Israel experts say, who needs Mr. Obama to help shore up his support at home.

The Israeli leader is facing an election in January, and if there is one thing that Israeli voters do not like, scholars say, it is any kind of daylight between their prime minister and the American president in times of strife.

After a year in which Mr. Netanyahu made no secret of his support for Mitt Romney, now might seem a perfect time for Mr. Obama to return the favor. And yet, as Israel and Hamas — and their proxies, the United States and Egypt — struggle to agree on a cease-fire in the fighting in Gaza, he has not done so.

Instead, Mr. Obama has sent Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to help seal a cease-fire agreement. He has been steadfast in his public support for Israel’s right to defend itself from rocket attacks from Gaza. And he has made no mention of the need for “restraint” from Israel in its bombing campaign, which would be interpreted as an American effort to pressure Israel.

What a noble statesman Mr. Obama is.

You see, Obama could have gotten even with Mr. Netanyahu for not doing more for his campaign. Specifically, Netanyahu should have helped him gain more Jewish support. But instead of holding a grudge, Obama has sent Hillary Clinton to solve all of Israel’s problems.

Mr. Obama has struck as vigorous a pro-Israel stance as President George W. Bush did when he faced similar crises, in Israel’s conflict with Hezbollah in 2006 and in its last Gaza incursion, in 2008.

Obama is as good as Bush the ‘neo-con’?

The president has been on the phone almost daily with Mr. Netanyahu, and even more often with President Mohamed Morsi of Egypt, a former Muslim Brotherhood leader whom Mr. Obama has been leaning on to broker a cease-fire.

Wow. Obama has even called on Egypt’s President Morsi to ask him to help with a cease fire. (And never mind that Hamas is an off-shoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. And that Hamas might not have had the weapons or courage to launch their attacks without Obama having put Morsi into power.)

And it is Mr. Obama who has provided financing for the Iron Dome missile defense system, which has prevented hundreds of rockets from hitting Israeli targets.

That’s a pretty neat trick. In February 2007, Defense Minister Amir Peretz selected Iron Dome as Israel’s defensive solution to this short-range rocket threat. ‘Iron Dome’ was successfully tested in March 2009, two months into the Obama administration.

All of this, Middle East experts say, means that Mr. Obama may have buttressed his own standing with the Israeli public, and is now in a far better position to start pressing Mr. Netanyahu on issues from the Israeli siege of Gaza to Iran to the dormant Middle East peace process, where he has had little leverage…

In other words, The Times says after all of this amazing support, Obama can now lean on Netanyahu to cave more to the demands of the Muslims in the Middle East.

Isn’t that wonderful?

The only way there will be no daylight between BB and president BB brain would be for Israel to elect someone from the Muslim Brotherhood to be the next Prime Minister. Obama isn’t supporting Israel any more than he is supporting Donald Trump’s efforts as a birther. He has graciously said, in front of witnesses, that Israel “has the right” to defend itself. Whoop De Friggin Doo. I’m sure BB feels better now that Oblameless has given him permission to protect his people.

And to send Hitlery as peacemaker is right in line with appointing Iran to the UN council on women’s rights. Hitlery, as we all know, is very popular with the shoe throwing crowd. I look forward with great anticipation to seeing Hitlery pelted with the latest in desert footwear. They should have at least sent Susan Rice. Sending a black woman instead of Hitlery would at least have limited their ability to cross her. It would have put the fear of being called sexist or racist into them… Bwaaahahahahahahaha.

    This NYT article is b.s.

“And it is Mr. Obama who has provided financing for the Iron Dome missile defense system, which has prevented hundreds of rockets from hitting Israeli targets.”

It was the US recently was trying to buy the Israel Iron Domes from Israel, at a time Israel couldn’t build this fast enough as Obama sat back ignoring the growing threats and growing rockets fired on Israel.

The US can build their own Iron Domes.

Israel provided aid of the U.S. in hurricane Sandy. When does any country come to the aid of Israel.

And look at Morsi’s pay off, as if he could broker any truce. He has declared himself to be a dictator with all power. He’ll share notes with Obama.

How can Obama bow to the King of Saudi Arabia when they are they hare so inhumane to their people. Obama wants to become a King.
