Many years ago it was a smiling Neville Chamberlain holding up a worthless piece of paper proclaiming Hitler’s promise for no war but peace in our time. Now it’s a smiling, unbelievably naive POTUS doing the same thing. The Russians and Iranians are laughing with contempt at Obama, and will proceed with their dangerous ambitions. History does repeat itself because those in power never remember the past.

Least Pres. Obama can be happy he is making gains somewhere. He is sure not doing it with the American People. So far His health care plan was met with major public outrage, this new bill will most likely die in the house. The public is souring on his domestic economic plan of throwing gobs of money at the problem and hope it works, now his favorite activist group ACORN was vetted by two private citizens forcing the DEMS to vote to de-fund this group.

All the liberal media outlets from the NYT and Rolling Stone are having a fit, despite having the White House and Congress the conservatives are winning this debate.

This happened because the left became overconfident. after Obama got elected Gloria Steinem was cheering that the “future” is finally here. Guess what? In politics things can change really quick. In 2004 the GOP smears the DEMS in the election 2 year later they lose congress and then later the white house. Now it looks like things are going to swing the other way again.

Gains at the U.N.?

Let me count the ways . . .

Tough sanctions against Iran to put us in the position to make demands and effectively reduce or eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat.

What are those sanctions? Number one is to cut off Iran’s supply of refined oil – Remember, although Iran has tons of crude, it has no refining capacity.

But . . . OOOOPS! Both China and The Soviet U. . . er, Russia, are supplying Iran with refined oil and anything else that we might otherwise embargo.

So (forgive me), as George Costanza would say: We’ve go no hand.

Our negotiating position with Iran == We ain’t got one.

“I told His Excellency Mr. President that we believe we need to help Iran to take a right decision,” Mr. Medvedev said, adding that “sanctions rarely lead to productive results, but in some cases, sanctions are inevitable.”

There you have it.

Wisened old hoss trader Obamy has snookered the Rooskies into admitting that sanctions rarely lead to productive results. All he had to do was surrender the defenses of Eastern Europe so the Rooskies can roll through without refueling.

The Boy Genius is playing tic tac. The overmatched Rooskies are playing some other game.
