Not the technology nor the drive towards freedom from Utility companies. Here at The Ranch we make all the electricity we want. We're not hooked into the grid. That's freedom money can't buy. But it won't work on the scale of national grids. It only works in individual sizes. Just as Big Business, Big Medicine, Big Education, Big Government, Big Pharma, Big Agri, Big Transportation and Big everything is the problem ... not the solution ... Big Energy isn't going to tap alternative power sources efficiently and profitably. 'Natural' energy will remain a bust at the scale of Big. But for individual applications it's just right. For me and mine it's not about cost-savings or (slap head) eco-statements. It's about FREEDOM. The freedom to tell Mrs. Grundy to go take a hike. BIG is the problem.
