Just when you thought the New York Times could not delve any lower into lickspittle sycophancy we find this display on their “Opinion” page:

Even the restrooms along the New Jersey Turnpike are now cleaner.

And of course the image of Mr. Bush leaving via helicopter is just so subtle.

Have you no sense of decency, Mr. Sulzberger, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?

Still, it is all too fitting that The Times is now addressing its readers in cartoon.

    Stomach-turning is right. This is the kind of mindless worship that Hitler and Stalin grew accustomed to after they came to power, only they were forcing the matter. Obama worshipers aren’t happy that a new president is in the Oval Office now, they’re happy to be the loyal subject of a new king. This Maya Angelou cartoon should be painfully out of place in a national newspaper, but sadly, it’s right at home in the NYT, which seems to be run by the DNC.

    Is the NYT now a children’s book? It certainly doesn’t appear to be a newspaper that reports actual news.

    Wow.
    University schools of journalism recommend that students do a great deal of reading.
    The must-reads include the Wall Street Journal or The Economist or the New York Times for the quality of the writing and for the information gleaned from those publications. Local papers are to be avoided, as they are usually examples of crappy writing.
    Even if the Times goes juvenile picturebook, it will still be required reading for the liberal indoctrination in case a student has made it as far as college without being swayed to swing liberal.

    And now we get this kindergarten-level essay on “feeling sexy again”.

    First, the liberals make a fuss about the importance of free expression – for their side and subsidized by the government. They whine to defend taxpayer supported pet projects, including photographing a crucifix in urine, and pasting elephant poo and porno mags into a collage of the virgin Mary.

    Now that Obama is in office, we’re spoon fed propaganda art that is comparable to Soviet realism. Even painted duplicates of the campaign posters. Hypocrisy.

    Like Sex In The City, the NYT is spews the preverbial Free Milk From A Cow. Imagine their reporting if they actually get the Democrats’ Bail Out Dough! It’ll never happen though. Instead, they’ll be out on the curb with smeared makeup – down one sling back shoe trying to hail a cab back to their dreary little midtown studio.

    I think it typifies all that’s wrong with liberals/leftists and peoplewhodon’tknowthere’saworldoutsideNewYork.

    1. It’s all about expression, not talent. I look at the work of the Renaissance, statues carved out of marble to look like a real person, and marvel at the time and drive it took to do that. This just shows how they feel…no need for learning and years of practice, it’s all self-portrayal. Best of all, it’s non-discriminatory, skill doesn’t matter…..unless you’re an evil right winger.

    2. Lacking any intent for analysis and logic this is as far as most of them go, they want a fairy tale, they don’t want to see that anybody is as human as anyone else, including the leader.

    3. Which leads to the last point, that questioning their ideals leads to questioning themselves, and they won’t go there. Which is why it could just as well been Donald Duck on the platform that day.

    Don’t forget: the NY Slimes worshipped Stalin, covered up the famine in the Ukraine, and buried news about the Holocaust. They are complicit in these crimes by deliberately refusing to expose them. I look forward to the Slimes’ eventual demise.
