As Bill Keller told our newsroom yesterday as our Pulitzers were awarded: Prizes don’t always say anything terribly important about the state of our business, but [t]his year’s Pulitzers do, and what they say is: the country has never needed us more than it does today.

    I’m flabbergasted…stunned….furious…but I guess I shouldn’t be suprised. Bill Keller’s reason for revealing the WOT tracking of terrorist finances?

    “They pissed me off,” he says. “I think the administration is genuinely distressed that we ran the story over their objections. I think they were embarrassed by it, by the fact that this most secretive of administrations has so much trouble keeping its secrets. I think they were probably sincere in their anxiety that publicizing this program might jeopardize it. And, you know, that’s all fair, but when they stir up a partisan hatefest and impugn your integrity and patriotism, that is, to borrow a word from the White House list of talking points, disgraceful.”

    So, I guess if I called him an asshat that gives him permission to murder millions? Talk about disproportionate. It’s about their enormous egos. I’m with AC. Let’s hope the next time the terrorists hit NYC they take down the Times. It’s no less then they deserve.

    What I would like to see in the next attack is the NYT building blowing up in a huge explosion….even though the attack was in Los Angeles. Pissed him off eh……he better pray he doesnt piss us off any more than he has. That man is the filthiest of traitors…..personal vendetta vs our population. He needs to be flayed.

    Where does this SOB get the right to endanger the American people just because he got his girlyman feelings hurt?
