I wish they’d be clear what they mean by “stem cell research”. It’s EMBRYONIC or FETAL stem cell research, which hasn’t had any success to date that I know of. No one’s against infant or adult stem cell research, both of which HAVE had success. And actually, as far as I know, it isn’t really the embryonic research itself that some politicians have opposed (although many people, like myself, are against it for moral reasons), it’s the GOVERNMENT FUNDING of the research that they’re against.

This lie was probably considered, at worst, a “lose-lose” situation, if he doesn’t get away with his outright lie, attention will be called to McCain’s support for something many in his conservative base are against.

Acknowledging that Obama lied and calling him out on it in his next interview are two different things. I have a feeling this is just their attempt to appear ‘impartial’, without actually doing anything. (God, it’s so good to see the MSM on defense!)
