Obama Apologizes For The US To Muslims

Obama calls for new beginning between US, Muslims

By Mark S. Smith, Associated Press Writer

CAIRO – Quoting from the Quran for emphasis, President Barack Obama called for a "new beginning between the United States and Muslims" Thursday and said together, they could confront violent extremism across the globe and advance the timeless search for peace in the Middle East.

"This cycle of suspicion and discord must end," Obama said in a widely anticipated speech in one of the world’s largest Muslim countries, an address designed to reframe relations after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and the U.S.-led war in Iraq…

In a gesture to the Islamic world, Obama conceded at the beginning of his remarks that tension "has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims, and a Cold War in which Muslim-majority countries were often treated as proxies without regard to their own aspirations."

"And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear," said the president, who recalled hearing prayer calls of "azaan" at dawn and dusk while living in Indonesia as a boy

Obama’s remarks drew a positive response from corners of the world not given to complimenting the United States…

Obama said the actions of violent extremist Muslims are "irreconcilable with the rights of human beings," and quoted the Quran to make his point: "be conscious of God and always speak the truth …"

"Islam is not part of the problem in combatting [sic]violent extremism — it is an important part of promoting peace," he said…

He treaded lightly on one issue that President George W. Bush had made a centerpiece of his second term — the spread of democracy.

Obama said he has a commitment to governments "that reflect the will of the people." And yet, he said, "No system of government can or should be imposed upon one nation by any other."

At times, there was an echo of Obama’s campaign mantra of change in his remarks, and he said many are afraid it cannot occur.

"There is so much fear, so much mistrust. But if we choose to be bound by the past, we will never move forward," he said…

The university’s alumni are among the Arab world’s most famous — and notorious. They include the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and Nobel Prize-winning author Naguib Mahfouz. Saddam Hussein studied law in the ’60s but did not graduate. And al-Qaida second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahri earned a medical degree.

This article does not do Mr. Obama’s speech justice. It was basically a pack of lies, which took every anti-American talking point from the last eight years as gospel.

(We didn’t try to negotiate with Saddam. The war in Iraq was unnecessary. The US tortures prisoners.)

Of course the Associated Press would ignore that.

They believe these things, too.

And he finally issued a statement in regards to the Muslim extremist convert who murdered a new recruit in Little Rock:

“I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.”

Notice there is no outrage and not an immediate statement like the one issued within hours of the murdered abortionist.

Hey, he has his priorities…what a jerk!

    • JohnMG says:

He got word that the natives were restless back in “the States” over this. This was a feckless gesture meant to quell the noise being raised here. In truth, he could give a crap less, but in true Obama fashion he can now say he’s being even-handed and compassionate.

This is one of the most despicable individuals I’ve ever witnessed. A pox on his house!

PS; Jobeth, you owe jerks everywhere an apology.

PS; Jobeth, you owe jerks everywhere an apology.

He and his fellow jerks will freeze in hell before I would ever appologize to them…

    • LewWaters says:

I doubt B HO even knows he issued that lame statement.

Wasn’t he in the MIddle East when it was released, after days of criticism from the public?

Bank on it being a staffer playing CYA for the bama.

The murder of a United States Soldier doesn’t further their agenda, why they ignored it for days.

    • JohnMG says:

What I meant, jobeth, was that, compared to Obama, even jerks look good.

    • jobeth says:

      JohnMG …
Oops…My Bad…Sometimes I wonder if I should be a libtard! LOL…Little slow that day. Sorry Got it now ;- D

“Islam is not part of the problem in combating violence— it is an important part of promoting peace” he said.

WELL ……… they are one in the same DingleBarry!!

I hope we survive this treasonous act against us.

  3. jobeth says:

It would be interesting to hear him deliver that speech here in the states…you know to the Americans…who for the last 10 years have sacrificed their husband’s, fathers, and sons (and daughters/wives/moms) to give him the priviledge to say things that border on treason…if not actual treason.

Did you all hear all the “warm” applause he received from the muslims?

Why not. He was singing to his choir. Just wonder what the response would have been from Americans? I know…the obalmybots would have lined up to kiss his a**, but what would the families of the vets and the rest of us who value our way of life …before Obalmy, say .

I was listening to Fox this morning and they were discribing the bad spot this puts Netanyahu (sp?).

To re-phrase something the linebacker said early on in her husband’s campaign…For the first time, I am deeply ashamed of my American President.

  5. MinnesotaRush says:

Could hardly recognize ol’ pandering Hilary following o-blah-blah (by 20 feet or so).

If her burka wrap were darker in color, she could pass for a sea lion.

    • proreason says:

      Let’s not knock her.

Can anyone doubt that the Beast is plotting regicide 48×7.

And from a mosaic of fools, she’s a better option than a trained communist thug with a Hitler-sized eqo.

    • jobeth says:

Pro, to be truthful I think the only thing that divides the two of them is private body parts and the color of their skin.
Ok…I will grant she would be Obalmy lite…but other than that…not much difference.

    • Liberals Demise says:

She is more of a man than he is, jobeth!

    • jobeth says:

OK…I’ll have to admit that there have been a few times (but not many) that I viewed her as at least something recognizable as an American when compared to Obalmy. And if I had to choose…(Uggh! what a choice) I would rather it had been her.

Sort of like choosing between a snake bite and a shark bite. Either way your dead in the water.

    • Liberals Demise says:

      Nice comparison!!

  6. bronzeprofessor says:

Why is our Secretary of State wearing a head scarf?

  7. Enthalpy says:

It’s pathetic nonsense. Muslims, as part of their war of deception are not obligated to be honest with unbelievers. If truth is what they sought, there would be no reason for the bureaucrats at the EU to re-write their history textbooks to reflect a more favorable image of Islam’s history. Perhaps they will exclude their unending wars with unbelievers, their extensive slave trade, and their demand for subservience by all who are not Muslims. That is just part of their historical treatment of Islam. The press takes care of the revisionism on a real time basis by not reporting on the rapes, murders, no-go zones in France, England, and Germany. The lame bureaucrat traitors know that if the people have full knowledge of what they’re up to, there will be war. There will be war.

  8. U NO HOO says:

God’s Son died for the Jews, the chosen people, and all others.

Christians die for their God and Religion.

Mohamadans kill for Allah and their Religion of peace.

Do we note any mutual interests?

    I’m just asking…

Oh, chic stara baba with babushka.

  9. bousquem says:

I’m currently reading a book called “Surrender” and it’s basically about how the west no longer is willing to call muslims anything but peace loving moderates. It’s actually a pretty good read. God knows with the nut in the white house, the US is going to kiss the feet of muslims even more, hopefully we don’t end up as GB and france are with their horde of nuts that want a state within a state. But even if obammy is out of office after 1 term, it’s going to take a looong time to recover from all the crap the leftists have driven this country into and having “progressive light” as Beck once put it is not going to help things.

    • Lurkin_no_mo says:

True, bousquem, but at least we will have the chance to recover. Give the chosen.. or cheated, one another 4 years and it will be THAT much more difficult for our nation to recover.

  10. 12 Gauge Rage says:

How many times is this man going to keep apologizing to the Muslims and the rest of the world for our actions? Or in his case, our mere existence. I refuse to make sniveling apologies to the world, whether they be European, Asian, or Muslim for the fact that I was born an American. And despite some of our flaws I am firmly convinced that I still live in the greatest country in the world.

  11. Barbie says:

The essence of Obama’s speech reduced to seven words:

“Hello American dogs, this is your president…”

(I fully admit I blatantly stole the American dog comment from artboy from a prior satirical post of his, but it’s also appropriate in this case). Thanks, artboy, I hope you don’t mind.

  12. proreason says:

I’ve been saying the Creature is running for his next job as president of the world.

Now others are beginning to notice. Here is Dr. Barry Rubin, director of the Global Research in International Affairs (GLORIA ) Center and editor of the Middle East Review of International Affairs (MERIA) Journal:

“Barack Obama’s speech in Cairo is one of the most bizarre orations ever made by a U.S. president, not a foreign policy statement but rather something invented by Obama, an international campaign speech, as if his main goal was to obtain votes in the next Egyptian primary. (Barry Rubin)”

Via American Thinkers’ indispensable Rick Moran

    more deliciousness:

“The first problem is that Obama said many things factually quite untrue, some ridiculously so. Pages would be required to list all these inaccuracies. The interesting question is whether Obama consciously lied or really believes it. I’d prefer him to be lying, because if he’s that ignorant then America and the world is in very deep trouble.”

Rubin wants a direct link to his site, so here it is:

I thought that woman I kept seeing walking behind Obama was Hillary. Notice
