Obama Approval Rating Hits Lowest Level

From Bloomberg:

Obama’s Job Approval Rating Reaches Lowest Level, Poll Finds

By Jonathan D. Salant – Mar 30, 2011

President Barack Obama’s job approval reached its lowest level, and nearly half of Americans surveyed opposed the U.S. military intervention in Libya, a Quinnipiac University poll found.

Also, 50 percent of the registered voters surveyed by the Hamden, Connecticut-based university’s polling institute said Obama didn’t deserve re-election in 2012, according to results released today, compared with 41 percent who said he should receive a second four-year term.

Obama’s overall approval rating in late March was at 42 percent, down from 46 percent in a March 3 Quinnipiac survey and at its lowest level in all the university’s surveys on the president, said Peter Brown, the polling institute’s assistant director.

The survey found 48 percent disapproving of Obama’s performance, up from 46 percent in March. Half of independent voters surveyed voiced disapproval for Obama’s handling of his job, with 39 percent approving.

How come we always hear about how the Tea Party is losing the Republicans the precious ‘independents’? And we never hear how much they disapprove of Mr. Obama?

Voters said they disapprove of the U.S. action in Libya, 47 percent to 41 percent. Most were interviewed before Obama delivered a televised March 28 speech explaining his policy in Libya.

Whew! We were worried there for a minute.

But surely Mr. Obama turned public opinion around when he delivered his historic address on Libya – right before ‘Dancing With The Stars.’

Fifty-eight percent said he hadn’t provided clear goals for getting involved, and 74 percent said they were concerned that the U.S. would be in a long-term war

Well, between Mr. Obama’s speech and Mrs. Clinton’s comments since, these concerns have certainly been put to rest by now.

In a hypothetical 2012 race with an unnamed Rebublican [sic] opponent, voter sentiment was statistically tied: 36 percent for Obama, 37 percent for a Republican

Something tells us that ‘Anybody But Obama’ is going to become more and more popular.

Imagine what that approval rating would be with an honest media…or no internet!

This is with the Republican Leadership by and large AWOL on any sort of substantive criticism of the boyking and his regime. In fact this is with the Republican Establishment joining (or at least stepping out of the way) while the rest of the state-controlled apparatus go full bile and propoganda against the Tea Party and our Governor’s reform agendas.

These polls and special speculation “has the Tea Party given up?” Yeah, you cowards wish – how many times have we heard this? It doesn’t take 24/7 centrally organized civil disobedience to keep us motivated. We just have jobs to keep so we can keep funding this oh-so-precious public sector we’re not allowed to cut (or, indeed, govern whatsoever).

Go ahead and cut your deal, Republican Leadership, don’t even wait for this Wisconsin judge’s election to use as a political bellweather. I said at the last CR if this was who you are and how you were going to play it then you might as well just out yourself and go party with Chuck U. because you’re irrelevant.

They haven’t and can’t overturn the second amendment.

    • beautyofreason says:

They don’t need to, Pro. Liberals have made it virtually impossible to obtain a gun permit in New York City save for celebrities and the rich. There is a $400 fee just to apply. You cannot purchase ammo to any weapon that you do not register so you can end up in jail if you have a .38 caliber registered and buy 9mm ammo. It is virtually impossible for anyone to get a conceal carry license. You are required to register pepper spray with the local police department. The left can ignore, manipulate, or haphazardly enforce laws so they bear no resemblance whatsoever to the founders’ original intent. And they are anything but equal. They are aristocratic snobs who give special benefits to themselves and to ethnic groups that vote them into office.

“Sanctuary cities” and automatic citizenship to border babies are just two examples of abuse and manipulation of our laws. There are countless others. Don’t expect the amendments to save us – liberals will use enough red tape and special interests to blot those rights from existence, while pretending to uphold them.

If you live in NYC you have my pity and while I don’t know your circumstances you can always move to a less draconian state. I always thought that the movie Escape from New York was a valid concept except they probably should include Patterson, NJ too.

The second amendment is one right above all others except maybe the first amendment that we must defend at all costs. It is the only thing that differentiates us from the rest of the world and what will keep us from ever being totally subjugated by bozos like Barry the Impotent. Like they say in the state next door, Live Free or Die!

    • beautyofreason says:

Hi Right, thanks for the sympathies. I am living in New York City for school and will move out of the state soon after graduation. I am waiting for the day when walking into a store doesn’t require angling through several rows of people, when the street outside doesn’t reek of exhaust, when there are fewer car horns and sirens at three in the morning, no rats on the evening before trash pick up or urine streams on the side walk, and when my standard of living increases (basic goods can be expensive here).

Living in NYC is a lifestyle choice for many but I prefer a smaller region with lots of fresh air and open space. The museums, restaurants, and citizens are wonderful on the whole but the politics are terrible. The city was built before automobiles so the spaces are far too narrow and cramped for a population of this size. And I like the idea of living in a place where our Bill of Rights still have value and patriotism is not a dirty word.

You said it, tranquil. No matter what the polls are now, 2012 is going to be an uphill fight for us and we all know that those GOP “leaders”, those Quislings, those dull, rich white men with their weird hair, will be there, pushing down on us as we try to push up. Who is there right now who can (a) be president and (b) beat Obama? Palin? Pawlenty? Huckabee? Romney (yuck)? Wendell Wilkie? Thomas E Dewey? Herbert Hoover? Who? I don’t see anyone and I’m looking for someone to come forward out of nowhere and pick up the flag but who that man or woman could be I have no idea.

Just remember, boys and girls, all these websites are monitored. They know where we are. Paranoia! Why not be paranoid when what they want to do to us is real.

    • tranquil.night says:

Heh, they’re the paranoid ones. That’s why instead of being honest themselves they’re always monitoring us, looking for any chance to intimidate and lie about us, until we submit into silence.

They have reason to be afraid. We know who, what and where they are!

It’ll be a cold day south of the border when some brain-dead liberal drone manages to intimidate me. Thuggery and emotions are no match for principles and logic.

Looking at Obama’s eyes gives me the willies. I thought Hillary Clinton had cold, dead eyes, but Obama has her beat in the cold, dead eye department.

  6. oldpuppydixie says:

Votes from illegals and the dead are going to be more important than usual for the Dems in 2012.

  7. proreason says:

Should I feel guilty because I favor Gaddafi duck over “the rebels”?

My rationale is pretty simple. I consider little lenin to be infinitely more dangerous than Gaddafi duck, so anything that hurts the real danger to and real enemy of our country is a good thing. Moreover, Gaddafi duck isn’t a threat to anybody at this stage of his career. Finally, we don’t have any American lives at any significant risk over there, and we are spending billions that would be better spent many other ways. I also can’t get very concerned about Libyan lives; and the rebels might kill and torture more victims than Gaddafi duck anyway.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

Remember, Carter gave us that heapin’ helpin’ of “islam-on-a-plate” in Iran back in ’79 as he supported removing the Shah. Why should this be any different? The ultimate goal may very well be to see that caliphate flourish in order to mass an uprising against the US and bingo, bango, bongo….we have committed political suicide by allowing them to gang up and then come over and kill us. That’s their idea of justice, I would suppose. But your estimation that they are using them and will later eliminate them has merit as well. However, the problem with national socialists is that they always think they can put the genie back in the bottle.

The other option is that by messing about in Libya, it will further irritate the radical muslims and result in more seething hatred towards the West. If this happens, so much the better. The national socialists like it that way. It could also be that he went ahead and started a war in Libya so that when a republican president is elected he will go on stage with Captain Teleprompter and say, “See? How do YOU like it? Nyahhhh” with his fingers spread out and his thumbs in his ears and sticking his tongue out like the mature intellectual that he is.

    • tranquil.night says:

It may be deceptively simple but the truth of the matter is that the boy-king has owned this every step of the way from the moment he threw the full weight of his moral support to the Egyptian mob. It was dumb, it was reckless, it was disastrous, and every action or inaction since has followed the same pattern. It ignited the entire region, excited every Jihadist and radical cleric and mosque not pinned down in a cave that the US essentially threw an anti-Islamist ally to the wolves.

He’s made every possible ‘mistake’ that plays into the hands of our enemies. Nobody is that competent at incompetence.

” the boy-king has owned this every step of the way from the moment he threw the full weight of his moral support to the Egyptian mob…dumb…reckless…disastrous”

good insight. I’m gonna piggy back on that one.

    10. My Muslim faith:

    11. On September 17, President Barack Obama spoke to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute 33rd Annual Award Gala. During his speech – reading from a teleprompter – he quoted from the Declaration of Independence. Here is what he said: “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain unalienable rights, life and liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

Pay attention to the look on his face as he leaves out part of the Declaration. Why is a man who says he’s a Christian unwilling to speak the words as written? Maybe because he’s not a Christian, but a Muslim, for whom it would be blasphemy to speak of any other God but Allah.

Please forward if you agree this is important for every American to witness.
