For the record, even if Aunt Zeituni had been granted asylum (and it is kind of rare not to be), she would not have been eligible to received public assistance.

You have to apply for permanent residence (a green card) to get that, and that can take a few years.

Moreover, when she was denied asylum the judge almost certainly ordered her deportation. (That is standard procedure.)

So she is probably in this county in defiance of a judge’s deportation order.

Another shining success story about immigrants, and illegal immigrants. Instead of coming here to contribute your skills to society and take advantage of all America has to offer (as opposed to Kenya), she doesn’t mind just slowly dying on welfare. Just to sit in public housing, suckling off of American taxpayer money, insulting our laws, and just waiting to die—-lady, go wait to die in your own country!

Of course it would be illegal for any government computers to be used to check up on “Aunt Zeituni.”

But “Joe The Plumber” is fair game.

SG, I have to wonder, though, as I did when I first saw the article on AOL’s frontpage.. if your coverage of her didn’t have something to do with it. ;) Someone saw something about her online and did some checking. Joe was never suspected of being a FELON. Aunt Zeituni is.

She may be a lovely lady, but she is an illegal. We cannot feel sorry for everyone.

I’m just curious what she was seeking asylum from 4 (to, what? How many years has she been here?) years ago. Granted, there has been ongoing violence in Kenya, but hasn’t she been here for a while? Why did she pick 4 years ago? I’ll admit, I have no idea how long it takes for cases like this to come before a court. It just seems, from reading the excerpts from his books (on S&L) that she’s been here quite a long time..

And, yet, he spoke so lovingly about her in his book.. ready to take on the world for her, and all of her ails. Too bad the McCain camp is too farking stupid to jump on *&^% like this. <_<

I was shocked to see this story in this morning’s Boston Globe (from the AP no less), which of course glorifies BHO. What didn’t shock me was that the article was buried in section B on page 4. Here in the People’s Republic of MA I was sure that anything anti-Obama was prohibited by law!

Yes, First and now we know exactly why The One ™ did not want 85% of his donation list published – so everyone could see all the donations from illegals foreigners, and possible multiple donations that would exceed the ‘undisclosed’ limits.

BTW, why does someone who lives in a slum – illegally (Thanks ICE for not bothering to actually carry out the Deportation request) – have any extra money to donate to a candidate? I thought that these were the very people who The One ™ wants to ’spread the wealth’ to?!? And does it not follow that people who have extra money to donate – don’t need any extra ‘wealth’?

Apparently The Ones aunt does not need any help since she has contributed $260 to the Obama campaign while living in gov housing and hiding out from the deportation cops.
In an interview she told a reporter that she could not comment until Nov. 5th.
