You have to apply for permanent residence (a green card) to get that, and that can take a few years.

Moreover, when she was denied asylum the judge almost certainly ordered her deportation. (That is standard procedure.)

So she is probably in this county in defiance of a judge’s deportation order.

Of course it would be illegal for any government computers to be used to check up on “Aunt Zeituni.”

But “Joe The Plumber” is fair game.

SG, I have to wonder, though, as I did when I first saw the article on AOL’s frontpage.. if your coverage of her didn’t have something to do with it. ;) Someone saw something about her online and did some checking. Joe was never suspected of being a FELON. Aunt Zeituni is.

She may be a lovely lady, but she is an illegal. We cannot feel sorry for everyone.

And, yet, he spoke so lovingly about her in his book.. ready to take on the world for her, and all of her ails. Too bad the McCain camp is too farking stupid to jump on *&^% like this. <_<

BTW, why does someone who lives in a slum – illegally (Thanks ICE for not bothering to actually carry out the Deportation request) – have any extra money to donate to a candidate? I thought that these were the very people who The One ™ wants to ‘spread the wealth’ to?!? And does it not follow that people who have extra money to donate – don’t need any extra ‘wealth’?

WASHINGTON (AP) – Barack Obama’s aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.

Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as “Aunti Zeituni” in Obama’s memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango’s case.

You first Obama – maybe if you lead by example – I would listen. Since you have ‘gotten your own stack’ (‘I’m all right Jack keep your hands off my stack.’) yet you want to make sure that everyone not you ‘pays even more to spread the wealth around’ (‘Share it fairly but don’t take a slice of my pie’) and you expect all of us hard working Americans to buy into this crappola – what about Welfare, WIC, Medicaid, Medicare, and all the other entitlement programs (Free School lunch for example) that are already in place to supposedly ‘spread the wealth around’ – are they failing or do you just want more of the money of hard working Americans (‘But if you ask for a rise it’s no surprise that they’re giving none away’).

As I said – You first Obama – you and your VP don’t even give very much to charity, so why should I voluntarily vote for someone who is going to forcibly take away more of my ‘stack’?
