Obama: Big Gov’t To Blame For O-Care Problems

From the Politico:

Obama: Health care problems don’t reflect on management style

By REID J. EPSTEIN | December 5, 2013

President Barack Obama said Thursday that problems with the Obamacare rollout don’t mean he needs to change his White House management style. Instead, the health care mess is indicative of broader problems with the federal bureaucracy that he hasn’t been able to solve, Obama told Chris Matthews during an MSNBC interview.

“The challenge, I think, that we have going forward is not so much my personal management style or particular issues around White House organization,” Obama said. “It actually has to do with what I referred to earlier, which is we have these big agencies, some of which are outdated, some of which are not designed properly.”

Wow. Obama is so obsessed with shifting blame away from himself he is even willing to attack big government. Our head is spinning.

Obama said “it was obvious that we needed additional controls in place” before Affordable Care Act enrollment began Oct. 1. Yet he said none of those controls center around the structure and style of his White House.

“I’ve got a strong chief of staff, but I’m holding every cabinet member accountable,” Obama said. “And I want to have strong interactions with them directly. Number two is, I have an open door policy, where I want people to be bringing me bad news, on time, so that we can fix things.”

In other words, Obama is blaming his chief of staff and Sebelius and everyone else below him. The buck does not stop with him. In fact, it never even reaches him.

The White House has been reluctant to publicly assign blame to individuals responsible for mangling the health care rollout.

Until now.

Obama and top aides have said firing officials responsible for the mess would be counterproductive because they were needed to help fix the system.

Besides, they might ‘talk.’

“The more we can just reorganize the guts of how these agencies work, the easier it’s going to be,” he said. “Because the White House is just a tiny part of what is a huge, widespread organization with increasingly complex tasks in a complex world.”

Obama reiterated his wish to consolidate federal government agencies that work with small businesses. And as is his custom, he placed the blame on Congress for standing in the way of his efforts to streamline government…

Yes, if there is one thing those damn Tea Party ‘whacko birds’ in the House will never accept, it is a smaller more efficient government.

Because adding 1 million new gubmint employees to the dole is the best way to lower unemployment, shrink and streamline gubmint, and grow the economy!!!

Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters will be appearing somewhere near us soon to explain just what went on here and why Chris and the President should be taken seriously. I know, the President can bring about the end of time for us individually or collectively, while Chris simply needs to be led back to his enclosure.
