The Obama administration said citizen will have to provide at least 3 monthes. And the National Guard would be on the list.
Sounded like civilian being appointed as police. I guess ACORN will carry guns on them. Someone mentioned Democrats are being used by Obama as pawns. I think it’s knowingly.

This sounds something like the multi-level marketing approaches that I run into constantly in my AV work. The idea is to reward bringing in more people to the system so that the sales can happen within the organizing group rather than the group selling stuff to outsiders. Most people who bought A***y stuff were dealers for it rather than the dealers trying to sell the product themselves to consumers.

So the idea is to get kids and adults to join, indoctrinate, and work to get others to join so they can be indoctrinated as well. All the while, they are performing wonderful community service tasks, helping with education, and seemingly a-political as a group – that is until they reach a critical mass and start carrying banners in daily public demonstrations of obedience to the state.

Makes me want to sit in a circle of my friends at the front steps of my local college campus singing, “All we are saying is give capitalism a chance.”

Personally I think if and when they approach me, I am going to lay a # 7 on’em! and as long as they are here, I will keep on proselytizing! They will be glad to leave here! :-)

And most of the “gimme” crowd won’t do it because it requires something of them. They expect it all free of work now. What makes us think they will suddenly want to “WORK”. Won’t happen. I have to laugh at the excuses they will come up with as to why they just can’t make it in that day! :-D

I volunteer about 25 hours a week with my church…but I wouldn’t admit it to this bunch! I will NOT give them the satisfaction of letting them know I volunteer anywhere!

Oops! I forgot. Church…that isn’t going to be an option anyway is it?

This man makes me more and more angry every day. I’m at the point I actually have to take breaks from the news. I’m going to pop a vessel soon if I’m not careful!

I pray every day for this “man” to fall on his face and have to leave the office in shame. God help us all if enough people don’t wake up… and SOON!

The kind of “volunteer” jobs the new American Hitler Youth corp is creating is mostly busy work, work done by able-bodied people. I would expect the “Boomer Corp” to be much of the same. I can’t “participate” in planting trees in parks and picking up garbage alongside the highway. My back and knees simply won’t allow it, and I refuse to have to buy street drugs to control my pain (I don’t have real heavy-duty stuff as it is!).

What “Boomers” need is some equal opportunity job/employment protection. Make it easier for us to file a complaint of non-hire (or firing) based on age discrimination, not creating yet another useless department of paper shifters that make up “jobs” that people like me cannot do.

My mother was a Hitler Youth, and it started just like this rotten little program. Looked good on the outside, but once you got involved and understood what was really at stake, well, it wasn’t quite so pretty. And in the case of Hitler Youth, a kid just didn’t “quit” without consequences.

And that’s about all they do.

SEC. 125. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.

(a) Prohibited Activities- A participant in an approved national service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following activities:

(1) Attempting to influence legislation.

(2) Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes.

(3) Assisting, promoting, or deterring union organizing.

(4) Impairing existing contracts for services or collective bargaining agreements.

(5) Engaging in partisan political activities, or other activities designed to influence the outcome of an election to any public office.

(6) Participating in, or endorsing, events or activities that are likely to include advocacy for or against political parties, political platforms, political candidates, proposed legislation, or elected officials.

(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.

(9) Conducting a voter registration drive or using Corporation funds to conduct a voter registration drive.

(10) Such other activities as the Corporation may prohibit.

You can’t belong to a church, work for a political candidate or protest anything while in the NCCC??
